He stopped, facing the guards, who were on alert

Guard: What's your business with the seat of divine foresight!

Arriving to the place, they saw Jing Yuan with a few guards, as Blade was at the side. But what intrigued Y/N was.....

Jingliu is also at fault, because she fell to mara, killed her comrades, and abandoned her oath

And now, they must pay the price

Y/N: Objection!

They all turn to him, as he rested his head on his hand

Y/N: Even if what they did was unforgivable, they already suffered enough, and you did too. Stop blaming yourself over the past. By being selfish like that, you just hurt the one that never did anything

Jing Yuan: Hmm.......

Y/N: Dan Heng's past life may had done the worst, but it isn't him, so don't put the blame, and pressure on him. It's not his fault

He instantly fell asleep, snoring loudly

But before she could get any closer, the most surprising things happend

Dan Heng stood between them, as at his side, was Blade, both ready to fight

Blade: Even if I have to suffer a thousand more death, I won't allow you to lay a finger on this young man

Jingliu: Oh? The prideful and arrogant Yingxing take the protection of a child?

Dan Heng: I don't know what happened because of my past life, and I will pay for it for the rest of my life, however.....

His eyes glowed a deep blue, as he glared at her furiously, in his Imbibitor Lunae form

Dan Heng: I do not care if you are immortal. If you dare hurt him in any way, I will find a way to kill you

Jingliu stayed silent, as a hand was placed on her shoulder

Jing Yuan: He is right. The past is the past, we shouldn't worry about it anymore

This sight, reminded her of the good old days

When the cloud quintet were still together

When Baiheng was still alive

Smiling, she sheathed her sword, uncovering her eyes, and walk toward Y/N

Jingliu: It seems that all my life, I was mistaken. And I needed a sassy young man to prove me otherwise, how pathetic

Blade and Dan Heng, feeling no hostility, let her pass, as she sit at Y/N's side, closing her eyes, and looked at the sky

Jingliu: You can all go, I shall stay here for a while longer. Imbibitor Lunae, when this young man wake up, I will tell him you went back to your place, be at ease

Dan Heng: ......I understand

They all slowly started to walk away, as it was only Jingliu and the sleeping Y/N

Jingliu: Such memories..... You can stop pretending, young ma-

She was cut off as she felt something lay on her lap

It was Y/N's head, who was really asleep, breathing quietly

She smiled, as it reminded her of how everytime, Baiheng would just lay her hand on her lap, and just sleep

Jingliu: You two really are alike......

They both stayed like that, as Jingliu caressed his head, using as little time left, to just enjoy this peaceful time

Meanwhile......

Jing Yuan: Dan Heng, I know your friendship toward Y/N is quite strong, but never have I thought you would be so protective of him

Dan Heng: Well.......

He smiled, as he remembered his first interaction with Y/N

Dan Heng: He said he would never let me down, and he always kept his promise. That is why, we both consider each other
