Chapter 79: Farewell
The following night, Taehyung was laying in Hoseok's arms and hugging his lover close while they slept together with their naked bodies exposing and touching. Just yesterday the two finally got together and the boy hasn't ever heard from Yoongi for a whole day. After Hoseok blocked him, Yoongi hasn't ever interrupted the couple and this made Taehyung happy.
Rain poured from the skies outside the apartment window and Taehyung was still in his lover's arms. Laying down on Hoseok's chest after a steamy intercourse together. Hoseok caressed Taehyung's soft silk hair and smiled to himself. "So you say... You're going to quit your job to stay here with me?~" Hoseok asked in a whisper against Taehyung's ear.
"Mm... I've already told you~ of course I'm going to stay here for you." Taehyung responded and felt Hoseok softly kiss his shoulder, leading to his neck as Taehyung layed there on the pillow to let out a soft smile.
"I'm glad you're going to stay here with me~ you can move in with me as soon as Jimin leaves. I can have you here everyday and every second of your life. Go out and have dates~ hold hands and kiss. This seems so perfect!" Hoseok added and continued to kiss Taehyung. "Why was I so blind to it before?"
"You were just confused. I won't blame you for that. But all that matters right now is that we are finally together. Okay?" Taehyung mentioned and felt Hoseok softly kiss him again.
"Go to sleep. I have practice in the morning and work after. You have to go and get a job too~" Hoseok added.
"I'll try my best to look for one." Taehyung whispered and hugged his lover close. All was calm until... There was a knock at the apartment door. "W-Who's that?" Taehyung wondered as Hoseok shrugged.
"Leave it alone. They should know we are sleeping." Hoseok replied and hugged Taehyung close under the covers. "Go to sleep, Tae~" However, the younger couldn't sleep due to the constant knocks at the door. This resulted in Hoseok standing up and putting on underwear under a dark blue robe so he could walk up to the door and see who it was.
Hoseok fixed his hair and opened the door to see Yoongi was standing there drenched in water as he hugged his own body to keep himself warm. Hoseok was shocked to see his ex here and just knew that this wouldn't look good if Taehyung stepped in any moment. "Yoongi..? What are you doing here..? Why did you come here through the rain? Don't you have an umbrella?"
"N-No..." Yoongi added. "Why...are you ignoring me..? I know you have Taehyung but I needed to text you as a friend... I needed someone.." Yoongi said as Hoseok gazed at the older.
"What's going on?" Taehyung asked, using a matching robe with Hoseok's and the robe's belt wrapped around his waist. "What are you two talking about?"
"I'm sorry... I've ruined your relationship..." Yoongi apologized as Hoseok looked back at Taehyung and back at Yoongi.
"It's okay. Why are you still here? Why did you come here at a time like this when it's raining?" Taehyung asked as Yoongi took out his phone and handed it to Taehyung to show the messages he longed to send to Hoseok.
All of the messages explained how Yoongi was stressed that Hoseok's mixtape was chosen to debut alone and the older knew how much Hoseok loved Taehyung. So, Yoongi took the mixtape which lead to him being placed to debut soon. Not Hoseok. He was to travel to Seoul soon and wouldn't be able to see Hoseok ever again and this meant Yoongi took a shot for Hoseok so this wouldn't get in the way of the younger's relationship. "I had to let you know... I couldn't leave knowing that the two of you looked at me as an enemy. So I came to apologize and... say goodbye.."
"You took the opportunity for me?" Hoseok asked as Yoongi nodded. His clothes were still drenched in rain from the outside. Hoseok then hugged Yoongi as Taehyung joined in on the hug. Hoseok knew if he alone was to debut, he would be far from his lover which will lead to an uneasy relationship, but Yoongi was there to save the relationship and be the one who travels far for Hoseok.
"Thank you, Yoongi.." Taehyung added as they broke from the hug and smiled at the older. "I'm sorry we couldn't really become friends at all... I wish you the best on your debut." Taehyung said as Hoseok patted Yoongi's back.
"Whenever you're back in Busan... Give us a call!" Hoseok chuckled and looked at Yoongi's clothes. "Take an umbrella before you leave the building. You don't want to get sick." The man said as he reached over to an umbrella right by the door and gave it to Yoongi. "Keep it."
"T-Thank you... Goodbye." Yoongi said, trying to hold back his tears. He felt happy deep down knowing he was able to apologize and make the couple forgive him for being such a troublemaker to their relationship.
Taehyung watched Yoongi leave with a smile, walking down the hall as he held the umbrella. Just then Hoseok unblocked Yoongi's number and placed his arm around Taehyung. "If only... We could have got along better..." Hoseok said as Taehyung layed his head on Hoseok's shoulder.
"We'll see him again soon... But all that matters now is that we both have eachother." Taehyung whispered and faced the older. "I love you, Hoseok." Taehyung whispered and held hands with the older to smile after. "..What now?"
"I think... I have an idea on what you can do for a living~" Hoseok said as Taehyung tilted his head to wonder what Hoseok meant to say.
"What is it?"
"Are you good at singing?" Hoseok asked, watching Taehyung's eyes light up with excitement as he hugged his lover tightly with a giggle afterwards. Knowing exactly what his boyfriend meant. Holding his lover close with such love that grew between the two. Ready to spend their life together and watch the next chapter of their life unfold before them.

Jungkook was thinking what to do. All he did was sit down on his seat and ponder. No texts or calls from Jimin. It was like they were completely silent. No river flowed between the two and now, Jungkook realized Jimin only did this because he didn't want to get his hopes up of Jungkook wasn't to show up. Jungkook still held the plane ticket in his hands at night. He couldn't let go of it and this was the only thought in his head. "Japan... Live life with Jimin... Or just stay here with no one for eternity." Jungkook said to himself as he rubbed his hand softly while he held the ticket. "Jimin... With Jimin I feel normal..." Jungkook thought to himself as he let out a sigh.
The boy was sitting there in the dark as he looked up at the closed curtain. He could hear rain outside beat onto the glass of the window covered by curtains. "Can I...? I've been living my life as you for so long... I would like to go off and have my own adventures with the one I love. Jimin would tell me that he would see you wander around the halls... You'd show up for him but not for me? Jyunhu... I want to leave now.." Jungkook whispered and suddenly felt a chill down his spine.
Jungkook looked back to see a figure of his deceased friend, standing far against the corner of the room with his hands behind his back and looking at Jungkook in silence.
"J-Jyunhu..?"
"You want to leave me... How am I not surprised? You love him so much.. I don't think you... E-Ever loved me like that..." Said the figure as his voice echoed. "You'll never love me no matter how much I wait here for you..." The figure was looking as if he was in tears. But Jungkook couldn't approach the ghost for a hug... Even if that was his best friend, Jyunhu was no other than a spirit now that couldn't be touched by a living soul.
"I'm going far... I don't want to l-leave you.." Jungkook whispered and looked at the ground. Avoiding eye contact with the spirit. He was slightly afraid but his mind was finally made up and ready to leave everything else behind to be with Jimin. Jungkook heard the sobs of the ghost and it was enough to make Jungkook hug himself from the sudden draft of cold air that brushed along his body.
"Jimin loves you... You love Jimin. I wish I was Jimin... You've treated him so perfectly and it left me to envy the two..." Jyunhu continued as he looked at Jungkook. "Jungkook... I wanted you to stay for me... Because you never wanted me to go anywhere. I wanted to see how you would like it! But now that I see you sitting there and holding that plane ticket... I know I shouldn't keep you here like this..." The figure sobbed and walked up to the younger. This made Jungkook lock his gaze down on the floor. Not thinking of looking up to meet eyes with the spirit.
"I love you.." Jungkook said. "I love you as a brother... My best friend." Jungkook said as he could feel Jyunhu grow silent.
"If only I appreciated that and accepted it before..." Jyunhu whispered and held out his hand to place over Jungkook's head but he suddenly hesitated to do so. "I'll let you go... Live life with Jimin... Marry him... Love him. I want you to tell my Father everything... Okay?" Jyunhu whispered as Jungkook nodded. Finally looking up to see the pale face of his friend who had scars over his neck, his face and all over his body. "I need to rest.."
"O-Of course..." Jungkook whispered as Jyunhu smiled and patted the boy's back. "I'll miss you.. Rest well..."
"Farewell, Jeon Jungkook. Please don't forget about me.." Jyunhu's voice echoed as everything went dark after.

Just with that, Jungkook woke up from the dream, looking around in panic. The atmosphere changed... Almost as if there was no spirit on the third floor, weighing down all the joy now. Jungkook sat up and turned his head to see that the ticket for Japan was sitting right on the bedside cabinet neatly placed as Jungkook checked the time. It was 11:36PM now, giving the boy time to finally pack up to leave with Jimin in the morning. No longer having anything hold him down from his conflicted past and his late friend he'd always remember dearly.
