Chapter 56: Inner thoughts

Jimin held the phone up to his ear and began to call Taehyung while the younger was sitting at the table in Hoseok's apartment in the first floor. Stirring around his bowl of soybean sprout soup with Kimchi in it too. The soup was hot and slightly orange from the kimchi with white scallions boiled with the vegetables and spicy kimchi to add in a salty, yet spicy kick to the soup.Taehyung's face lit up and quickly answered the phone while Hoseok was standing by Yoongi and hearing the mixtapes of their own they produced. Yet, Hoseok looked up to see Taehyung stand up and not even touch his bowl of Kimchi soybean sprout soup Hoseok cooked. Of course, Hoseok and Yoongi still had yet to eat since they were working on their project, but this made Hoseok realize Taehyung was left out since he didn't bother to touch the soup.

"Oh hi, Jimin!" Taehyung said with a smile, moving up to a window so he could smile and talk to his best friend. This made Hoseok get silent and focus on the younger while Yoongi quickly pointed Hoseok's chin down to look at the laptop screen again.

"Taehyung did you publish the blog?" Jimin asked, just wanting to add in about Jungkook quickly.

"…Um…no I need to edit it and we'll be good. I'll publish it don't worry. But anyways-"

"I'm at Jungkook's place and... He's a little too clingy. He wants to be my only best friend and tells me us two shouldn't be friends anymore." Jimin added, almost slightly laughing from the thought.

"Come on Jimin, you said it yourself. He's lonely and he's kind. He won't hurt a fly." Taehyung added as he placed his hand in his pocket and looked back to see Hoseok and Yoongi sharing earphones to hear the song together while Yoongi looked up to wink at Taehyung. "Listen Jimin, I have to go..." Taehyung added. It was like he couldn't spend one minute away or else Yoongi would try to move his way in to impress Hoseok.

"Ah don't leave..." Jimin added as he gazed at the coffee table cabinet and back at the bedroom door. Knowing what he should do now. "At least stay on the line for a moment, Taehyung." Jimin added as he approached the coffee table and placed his hand over the handle. Knowing this was a perfect time to look at the letters behind Jungkook's back. Of course, have just enough time to snap a picture of it quickly so he could read it later.

"Why..? Jimin you're making it seem like you are trying to avoid Jungkook.... Why?" Taehyung asked feeling a little worried "Did he hurt you?"

"No. I just wanted to stay a little longer on the line. Ah, I tried to tell him about me leaving Busan soon, but I couldn't!  He went on saying that I shouldn't talk like that and I should stay by his side forever... But I know I can't. He's so scared of losing me. Do you... Think he's obsessed with me?" Jimin asked as he let out a sigh. "It's shocking. I thought I was the one obsessed with him but I think he does it far more than me." Jimin stated, pulling open the cabinet for the first time, but only to see many papers stored within it that would take a while for Jimin to find the letters from one month ago!

"Obsessive? Oh Jimin! You silly little guy." Taehyung then chuckled, slightly catching Hoseok's attention again and again before Yoongi had to steer Hoseok's focus back to him. "I don't think he's obsessed with you..." Taehyung added with a smile as Jimin held the phone up to his cheek by pushing it up with his shoulder.

"What..?" Jimin responded as he looked through the stacks of papers. Some were blank and some were just unfinished drawings of roses. Almost like Jungkook did this on purpose to hide the letters for just in case something like this was to ever happen. This resulted in Jimin pulling the cabinet a bit more just to check through the back of the cabinet.

"Maybe he... Loves you. It's only natural he'll become attached and clingy. Wants you all to himself? Check. It's obvious Jimin! It's not obsession... It's love!" Taehyung added as Jimin grew silent and kept looking through the papers in the cabinet.

"I... knew that." Jimin added nervously as Taehyung chuckled.

"Of course you did! Jimin, just give Jungkook some time and I can assure you this 'clingy' behavior would stop. Only when he chooses to confess to you." Taehyung added and looked back to Hoseok and Yoongi who were smiling and listening to the audio. "...Jimin..." Taehyung whispered and walked a bit far from the table the two were in. "Hoseok loves me... But why do I still feel scared Yoongi is going to take him from me?"

"Oh so the two of you made up! That's nice." Jimin said with a smile, trying to tone down his voice so Jungkook wouldn't walk outside to get jealous again. "He told you he loves you? That must sound beautiful..."

"Yes he did and before I could tell him about us leaving, well... Yoongi came in and ruined everything... Yoongi hates me." Taehyung sighed as Jimin giggled.

"No he doesn't. Hate is such a strong word. Are you sure?"

"H-He does... He told me! How do you expect me to keep silent about that? I need to tell Hoseok but, he only wants us to get along. So now Yoongi and I are up against eachother's necks for Hoseok. Ugh I just want to get along with him but he's so difficult!  What should I do?"

"Show him peace?" Jimin asked. "Surrender?"

"If I do... He'll want Hoseok all to himself. I can't lose Hoseok!" Taehyung added as he silently hissed into the phone as Jimin found one of the letters and slowly tried to pull it out.

"Talk to him no matter what... Try to bond but if he's so 'Difficult' speak to Hoseok privately about it. It's the only way you two will get along. Sometimes you need Hoseok to know about it in order to set things straight." Jimin mentioned and took a moment to set the letter back. Something just didn't feel right... Almost like he felt a pair of eyes staring right at him. "Taehyung I'll have to call you later."

"Hmm.. You never do." Taehyung scoffed and looked back at Hoseok to see his love interest smile right back at him. "I'll see you later...?"

"That's if the lion let's me escape his den." Jimin smiled and looked at his phone. "Bye." Jimin stated and hung up to set his phone down and focus on the letter.

"What are you doing, Jimin?" Jungkook asked with a smile, leaning on the wall of the hallway leading to the living room where Jimin was. Jungkook was wearing blue boxers and a white tank top shirt as he stared at Jimin with his arms folded.

"I-I was looking for a paper so Taehyung could tell me something I could write down!" Jimin lied looking back at Jungkook and stuffing the letter back into the cabinet.

"Shouldn't... You be on the phone with him in order to hear it? You took so long I had to come and check up in you. I thought you left?" Jungkook said walking up to Jimin as the older started to panic. "Hmm... The blank sheet of paper is on the top... Not at the bottom." Jungkook added and took out a blank sheet of paper. "Did you confuse it with this?" Jungkook asked taking out one of his letters but still managed to keep it closed.

"N-No... I just didn't want to waste a blank sheet.." Jimin lied again as the boy chuckled and placed the letter down on the table as he stared into Jimin's eyes.

"Lets forget about this for now... Would you like to shower with me?" Jungkook asked as Jimin knew Jungkook realized what the older was doing. He just didn't want Jungkook to lose his trust on Jimin.

"I-I think I should go." Jimin added. Already feeling a little too over embarrassed as he looked at the letter on the table he was close to reading.

"I don't think you should. Come on, let's wash up together and cook something. Maybe... Something sour?~" Jungkook asked so sweetly as he dismissed the thought of how Jimin tried to snoop around and read an important letter to him.

"You don't like sour things." Jimin giggled. "I do! And when we shower, it's going to hurt putting on another bandage."

"Well you can't sit there and not shower. Come on it won't hurt. Just avoid putting too much soap over the wounds and you'll be just fine, Jimin~" Jungkook smiled. "I know you like sour things, but just like how you try playing videogames. I guess I could try something sour. Even if I don't like it, it's worth a shot." Jungkook said with a smile on his face as Jimin took Jungkook's hand and stood up to join the boy for a shower together.

"Then I guess is it okay if I stay over today?" Jimin wondered as Jungkook chuckled  and nodded his head while they walked to the bathroom.

"Of course you can! There'll never be a moment I won't want you here. Just don't look through my mail and well be alright." Jungkook added as Jimin giggled. Thinking back at how close he was to look at the letter... However, he never expected to read it since Jungkook was always interfering. Jimin liked to believe what Taehyung said about Jungkook being 'clingy' and it was only because he was in love with the older. But what if Jungkook really hid a dark past that he tried his best to keep from Jimin, even if it meant to cling onto the boy so he wouldn't leave and figure it out on his own?
