Chapter 40: Intimidating

On Hoseok's and Taehyung's way back to the apartment complex, they discussed about heading off to the festival and what fun things they would do together as if they really were a couple.

"The festival is in a month and we need to be sure we aren't busy that day!  Hopefully Yoongi would allow me to go to the First Snowfall Festival..." Hoseok sighed while Taehyung scoffed afterwards.

"You shouldn't be waiting for him to approve of you heading off. You are your own person! Let him work on his mixtape alone and you go out and have some fun with me!" Taehyung let out a laugh as Hoseok smiled at the younger.

"Taehyung, are you working  tomorrow? I want to know since Yoongi might come over and want to start working on the project... And I want you to be there so it wouldn't be too awkward or sad for me. You won't let me down right, my beloved 'Husband'?" Hoseok asked as he started to bat his eyes.

"I do have work, but I can do it in your apartment if you'd like?" Taehyung asked as Hoseok nodded happily again.

"This is great!  You'll be there for me and it won't be awkward with Yoongi around. Ah, what did I do to deserve such an amazing friend like you?!" Hoseok added and pulled Taehyung close to hug again out of excitement.

"Correction, amazing 'Husband' don't you love me, Hoseok?" Taehyung chuckled as the older laughed and kept walking with the younger until they were interrupted by phone call that caused them to stop walking. Hoseok glanced at the caller ID to see that Yoongi was calling. This brought Taehyung's attention on how Hoseok still had Yoongi's phone number, it was a little off how Hoseok spoke about Yoongi as if they cut off all ends... But still held onto his contacts like nothing ever happened. "Who is it..?" Taehyung asked so curiously, pretending like he didn't read the caller ID.

"Yoongi..." Hoseok added. At least the older knew not to lie to Taehyung. Hoseok was an honest man to the younger. Keeping his tight bond with Taehyung no matter what.

           "What does he want..?"

"Guess I'll have to find out." Hoseok whispered and answered the call, stepping away from Taehyung for some privacy, but this only caused the younger to him like a lost puppy. Taehyung then stopped as soon as Hoseok held out his hand to make him wait as the older sat down at a nearby bench in the cold to listen to the call.

The younger gawked at Hoseok silently... He wanted to be able to sit there along with Hoseok and listen to the call on speaker like close friends would, whispering what to say next as Hoseok delivers the words and Taehyung thinks on them. It was what Taehyung thought of and smiled just thinking of it. That bond was what he wanted with Hoseok and couldn't wait to atleast move closer to the man. For once in his life, he felt happy to know that he was slowly moving on from his feelings he had before for Jimin. However, he never felt them leave completely.... It was like he was falling for Hoseok... But still wanted Jimin.

After waiting for a good while, the boy was starting to grow tired now and couldn't keep his eyes open from how long his day was. Just thinking of the amount of work he had in store for him and Jimin the following day. The younger approached Hoseok and lightly tapped his shoulder, catching Hoseok in silence while he listened to Yoongi. It seemed as if he was having an important conversation since he didn't pay attention to Taehyung at all and just jolted his shoulder to make Taehyung stop and wait longer.

"Hoseok..." Taehyung whispered as Hoseok just looked back and held up a finger to make Taehyung wait longer. "Hoseok I have to go-"

"I know... I know. Can't you just listen to me for once?" Hoseok said into the call and Taehyung just sighed and walked home anyways. Giving Hoseok some time on his own so he can talk to Yoongi and sort things out with his ex. Taehyung wasn't upset about it or didn't make a big deal about it. He understood what Hoseok had to deal with now. Yet, Taehyung walked back lonely and arrived to the empty apartment. Hoping to see at least Jimin sitting and reading a book but even he was too busy to come back to Taehyung. It only felt as if their friendship was crumbling now.

Jimin was siting on the couch as Jungkook was at the kitchen table drawing alone. Jimin layed on the couch, finishing up the movie on his own as he turned his head back to see Jungkook just sitting in the kitchen, erasing and drawing again. Crumbling paper and starting over again quickly.

"Jungkookie! Come here." Jimin said in a cute voice while poking his head up from the couches. "Don't you want to watch the movie?" Jimin asked as Jungkook only shook his head and kept drawing quickly. "Jungkook, kiss." Jimin said with a smile and pointed on his cheek. Even if they were friends with benefits, Jimin wanted this to at least be like a relationship secretly.

"A kiss?" Jungkook chuckled as he looked back at the kitchen. "Why don't we go and finish cooking?"

"Ah,  Jungkook I'm not hungry right now..." Jimin said in a whisper and stood up to look at Jungkook as the movie finished. "You know...  I always wondered how were you able to know so much about sex for a closed off virgin. It was really good for our first time." Jimin giggled trying not to get embarrassed.

"Easy. I watched the movie a few times. At first I thought it was weird but then I watched the sex scene and payed attention to it. Not to sound like a creep but I learned from it." Jungkook chuckled as he kept moving his paper along the page of his sketch book.

"You went rough.. I'm surprised I'm not feeling any pain..." Jimin mentioned as Jungkook made a smirk and gazed up at Jimin.

"You know what they say. It's just like working out. You won't feel it until the morning. I'm pretty sure it goes for sex too when things go rough like that in bed." Jungkook then smiled as he kept drawing, followed by Jimin's cute laughters after it.

"Ah, shut up." Jimin giggled and watched the credits roll on his laptop. "Jungkook, is that why you wanted me to stay? Because I might not be able to walk?"

"Oh I really didn't know I would leave you sore but I guess so?" Jungkook snickered and teased Jimin as the older walked into the kitchen to see what Jungkook was drawing. "What are you drawing there? I want to see!" Jimin said cutely as Jungkook closed his sketchbook quickly and started to blush.

"They're not good anyways! I'm  just... practising drawing the sea..." Jungkook added as Jimin smirked and walked to Jungkook, moving his hands down Jungkook's shoulders, caressing his arms to seduce Jungkook playfully into letting him see.

"Can I see...?" Jimin whispered as Jungkook quickly stood up.

"Fine.. Only one!" Jungkook added as he opened his sketch book carefully to a page where he had a drawing of Jimin down at the docks, sitting with his recorder on his first day there. "See? I-It's you... I remember seeing you down at the docks that day. But of course I was only downstairs to get my check cashed in and I saw you but only a glance before running off.

"You.. Draw amazing! I love it..." Jimin said with a smile. "Do you have more drawings of me?"

"N-No... Not really." Jungkook chuckled and scratched his neck nervously. "You can keep this drawing of you... If you'd like?" Jungkook said as Jimin nodded happily.

"Hand it to me before I go tomorrow. Let's go watch a movie or.. We could go to bed~" Jimin said in a whisper as Jungkook held his sketchbook close and smiled.

"Yes. Let's go do that." Jungkook responded, walking off to the kitchen coffee table and setting it on the table before turning around and walking to the room to join Jimin with a smile as Jimin kept staring back at the coffee table with the same suspense as before.

Jungkook never wanted to be mentioned to any other living soul, he talked to the sea like it was a living thing capable of talking back and he avoided the Landlord, the people and everyone out there... Even the check was sent to him. Yet it wasn't his. Jimin thought it was off how Jungkook wasn't going to fix the check issue so quickly since he was payed. Yet he sat there and left it alone. Just to collect dust on the counter of the kitchen marbled counter top.

Jimin thought of this and walked to the room, distracted by the thought as Jungkook quickly closed the door and locked it like someone else was going to come through it. Yet it was just his insecurities on having Jimin leave him. This only made Jimin wonder if Jungkook used to have a neighbor up on the third floor that left him a while back. He did mention he had someone take his checks and mails in for him but now no one remained up on the third floor now. Just this lonely boy locked into solitude which, Jimin pitied but also questioned.

But no matter how much Jimin asked Jungkook on more about the boy, Jungkook shakes his head and changes conversation. Jimin just hoped one day he reads those letters, he would understand. Yet he hesitated in worry thinking that maybe the truth might be the most scariest thing out there behind Jungkook's isolated mind.
