“Ready?”

“Ready.” said Brightnose, looking at the busy road like it would kill her. “Where are we going again? And why?”  Darktail looked at Brightnose and said “We need to see my friend Colorfur. She will help heal your leg. It looks like you broke it.” Brightnose looked at the asphalt and saw a squirrel get run over as soon as it stepped out onto the road. She looked at Darktail and said “You go across and get her. I can’t run at all. Be CAREFUL!” “All right. I will.” Darktail chuckled. “I’ve done this a million times. Bye!”

She walked out and ran across, dodging every vehicle and when she got to the other side,Brightnose realized that she had been holding her breath the whole time. She let it out in a big “WHUFF!” and watched her friend disappear into a dark alley.

When Darktail reappeared, a yellow, brown, black, and white patch-covered cat was at her side. They ran across the road together and the patch-covered cat said “Hi. I’m Colorfur. You must be the one with the broken leg."
