Riiiing.

I look at my phone screen.

Miya?

I answer. "Mi-"

"Kako~" She sings. "You know that assignment we got last week?" She says.

I look up to see Ageha climbing up the counter with help from Ota.

"Ageha! Ota!" I stand up. "Yeah!" I say into the phone as I storm up to the twins.

"Do you want to do it at Haruhi's place... Now?" She asks.

"What do you want?" I ask the twins as Ota helps Ageha down.

"Ramen." They answer at the same time.

"I don't think I can. I have to take care of the twins. My mother should've been home fifteen minutes ago but I guess she's working late today..." I say as I hand them both a packet of ramen and hear her sigh.

They scrunch the packet and open it to eat the ramen raw.

"Guys..." I sigh as they giggle and run to the living room.

"Then bring them." She says and I ponder.

"Okay fine."

"Good! We'll be there soon." She says and hangs up.

I walk to the living room to find them watching anime whilst stuffing their faces with raw ramen.

"Guys. Change your clothes. We're going out." I say and they jump on the couch.

"Yay!"

"That's my bed..." I whisper and sigh with a smile.

"Where?" Ota asks and I wrap an arm around his waist.

"Haru-onee's place." I say and they grin.

"Yay! We get to see Ranka!" Ageha hops off of the couch and runs to their room.

I look at Ota and pat his head.

"You okay?" I ask and he nods.

"I'm good." He grins and hops off the couch.

I ruffle his hair and watch him run to the room.

I walk to my vanity table and stare at my reflection before smiling.

Dating Kaoru has made me feel beautiful.

I grab my hair brush and start brushing my short, light brown hair.

I no longer use my rainbow wig to fake being someone i'm not. I'm satisfied with myself and i've never been happier.

"We're ready!" The twins come out and pose.

"Alright. Let's go wait outside."

I lock the door behind me and take their hand.

As we were half way down the staircase...

"Hey!" Doni calls out and I turn around.

"Go." I gently push the twins and they reluctantly walk downstairs, looking back every now and then.

"What?" I fold my arms and he grins.

"Your mother hasn't given what she was suppose to give me for quite some time now..." He takes a step toward me.

I gulp.

"You know... I'm actually getting bored of her now..." He comes closer.

"Your so whiny. Like a child asking to be breast fed." I spit on his shoe. "Just shut the hell up then." I say and he grins.

"The only reason why you're still here is because of me. Otherwise, you would be living on the streets... You ungrateful little bitch."

I grit my teeth.

"Now that i've had enough of her... I guess it's time you move out." He comes closer. "Unless... You're willing to-" Just as he was about to grab my wrist, he stumbles back and falls.

"Don't touch her."

I turn to my right to see Kaoru glaring at Doni.

"You little shit!" Doni stands back up and Kaoru stands in front if me to shield me.

Kaoru shoves him back. Doni swings his arm to punch him but Kaoru dodges and kicks him in the stomach.

"Fuck... you..." He breathes out.

Kaoru steps on his wrist and Doni winces.

"If I ever find you touching her again... You'll regret it." He says and stomps on Doni's wrist before turning around, grabbing my hand and pulling me downstairs.

"Kaoru..." I say and he stops before turning around and hugging me.

I wrap my arms around him and feel my face burn.

"Thank you..." I purse my lips and he pulls away.

"Y-Yeah..." He scratches his head.

I follow him to the limousine and he opens the door.

"Kako!" Miya latches onto me.

"Hey..."

She let's go of me and pulls me in.

All the host club members inside. Ageha and Ota playing with Mori and Honey.

I look at Tamaki.

"Oh... Hello..." I say and he grins.

"Hiya Kako!" He says and Ana gives me a small wave and smile.

"Hi..."

"Kako-chan!" Honey grins and I return the smile before he goes back to playing with Ageha and Ota.

"Hi."

"Hey." Haruhi says and I smile.

"Tamaki somehow found out about us going to Haruhi's and decided to tag along... Of course... Not without Ana and Kyoya." Miya sighs. "So we invited Honey and Mori."

"Oh okay." I nod and Kaoru takes a seat next to Tamaki.

"So what're we gonna do there? Play some games? Eat commoner's food?" Tamaki asks and Miya gives him an annoyed look.

"I told you that we're going to be doing our assignment." Miya rolls her eyes.

"How boring."

"Then why did you come?!" Miya yells.

"You didn't tell me you were going to be doing an assignment!" Tamaki throws his arms up.

"Yes I did you moron! I told you on the phone when you called me!" She reaches out to pinch him but Ana holds her back.

I chuckle as the two of them argue.

Kaoru moves to Miya's spot next to me and gives me a charming smile.

I look down and smile as I play with my hands.

We arrive at Haruhi's place and file out of the limousine.

"Haru-onee's place is bigger than ours, huh onee-chan?" Ageha says and I nod.

"Please don't make a mess... Tamaki." Haruhi says as she takes her keys out.

"Me? What about them?!" Tamaki points to the two pairs of twins. Ageha, Ota, Hikaru and Kaoru.

She gives him a look before he shrinks back and hides behind Ana.

Haruhi unlocks the door and turns on the light.

"Dad? You home?" Haruhi places the keys onto the counter. "Oh!" We hear her gasp.

I peek my head in and look around before my eyes stop at what Haruhi was staring at.

"Ama?!"

Sorry I took long. School just finished so i'll be writing more. Sorry it's short too, ugh, I was so irritated at the shitty chapter but, forgive me, It's been a rough week.
