28|| True Feelings

"KAORU!" I was in the kitchen making her soup when she suddenly wraps her arms around my waist.

"K-Kako!" I jump back and she let's go of me.

"Kaoru..." She pouts and holds her hand out, her other hand holding her blanket.

I blush and take her hand.

She watches me as I finish making her soup.

"C-Come on..." We walk back to the living room, holding hands, my free hand holding the bowl of soup.

We both sit down on the floor in front of the TV, still holding hands. I try to pull my hand away to grab the remote but she squeezes my hand tighter. I smile and grab the remote with my other hand.

"Avatar..." She says and I look at her.

"Pardon?"

"I want to watch avatar the last air bender..." She says and I nod.

"O-Okay..."

After putting it on, I attempt to feed her.

"K-Kako open your mouth..."

She reluctantly opens her mouth.

She then looks at me and rests her head on my arm.

"I love you..." She says and I felt my whole body burn. "I really do..." She looks up at me and places her hand on my cheek.

"I-I-I love you too..." I say and she smiles sadly.

"I'm sorry..." She rests her head on my arm and looks down.

"Huh?"

"I keep making you wait... I'm sorry... I just feel a little uneasy... Do you really love me?"

"You don't believe me?" I lift her head up and tears well up in her eyes.

"Look at me..." She chuckles.

"I am." I say and she stares at me.

"Please wait a little longer..." She moves in closer and wraps an arm around my waist.

"Hm..." I smile and rest my head on hers.

"Why do you love me?" She suddenly asks.

I lift my head up. "Because you're kind... Hard working... Beautiful..." I say and she smiles to herself. She then sits on my lap. "Woah!" I fall back and look up at her.

"I love you!" She lies down on top of me and wraps her arms around my neck.

"K-Kako!"

"Why do you do that?" She pulls away and I quickly sit up.

"Do...?"

"Why do you call me Kako?" She crawls over to me.

I then see a little bit of her cleavage showing and I quickly stand up.

"Uhm!" I look around and spot my jacket that I took off earlier. I snatch the jacket and quickly put it on her.

"Kaoru..." She says as I zip the jacket without looking up at her. I slowly look up and she grins adorably. "Woah! I've always wanted to do this!" She hugs herself.

She's so cute...

I purse my lips. "I used to see couples doing things like this... Like when the guy gives the girl his coat... Or when the guy lets the girl play with his hair... Take photos together in a booth... Or take selfies together and make them our backgrounds... I used to think things like that were annoying but..." She looks up at me and her cheeks flush red. "Now I just want to do all that with you and... Show you off to every one..." She squeaks and looks away.

Is this how she really feels?

She stands up and walks over to her vanity table.

"Kako... What're you doing?" I sat there, looking up at her.

"Hm!" She turns around holding a make-up bag. "Let's have a makeover!"

"M-Makeover?" My eye twitches and she sits in front of me.

"Yeah!" She says in a baby like voice.

I can't say no to her.

"Okay..."

Her smile widens, she opens up her make-up bag and dumps everything out.

"You don't need foundation because your skin is already pretty..." She leans in and kisses my cheek.

"Ack!" I place my hand on my cheek and she giggles.

"Mascara..." She picks up a black cylinder looking thing, opens it and moves in closer to me.

I freeze when she places her hand on my cheek.

"Sit still."

"Ah!" She accidentally pokes my eye and I reflectively cover my eye with my hand.

"Oh! I'm sorry!" She pulls my hand away and tears spill out of my eyes.

"I-It's okay..." I chuckle and look at her with my other eye.

"I-I'm sorry!" Her eyes well up with tears as she looks at me.

"It's okay Kako! I'm fine! See!" I try to open my eyes but instead, more tears spill out.

"Wahhhh!" She bursts out crying. "I'm sorry!"

"K-Kako!" My heart breaks as I watch her cry. I stand up, jog into the kitchen and rub my eyes with water. I turn around and see her standing there, crying. I walk up to her and hug her.

"Don't cry..." I stroke her hair and hear her hiccup. "Why are you crying...?" I pull away and look at her.

"Because I made you cry!" She bursts into tears again and I chuckle.

"It's okay..." I wipe her tears and she opens her eyes.

"Wahhh!" She cries even more.

"W-What's wrong?!"

"You're so nice!" She cries and I couldn't help but laugh. "Why are you laughing?" She says half crying and half laughing.

"You're so funny, Kako..." I smile and she stops crying.

She keeps staring at me and I stop laughing.

"W-What is it?" I ask and she smiles.

"You're so cute!"
