"Her name's Kako."

I shake my head and throw the blanket over myself.

"O-Oh..." I stare at him and then pull away, flustered. "G-G-Goodnight!" I bow and turn to leave.

"K-Kako!" He calls out and I freeze before slowly turning to him. "Let's go somewhere tomorrow."

I keep staring at him.

"The beach?" He tilts his head and I finally snap out of it.

"O-Okay..." I give a small nod and he grins. "B-B-Bye!" I give another bow and run into the building.

"Aish!" I slap my head.

He tells you he likes you and you run away? Idiot!

I wail and kick the blanket off of me.

I wonder what would've happened if I told him I liked him too... Would we have kissed again and be... A... Couple?

I purse my lips and stop myself from crying.

Luna you idiot! What if he thinks I don't like him now? What if he gives up on me and finds another girl?! Prettier... Rich...

I pout.

Why me? He deserves much more...

I sulk and close my eyes.

"Apa look! A full moon!" I point at the moon and he looks up.

"Wooow." He smiles and I sit on his lap. "Isn't it wonderful...?" He says and I stare at him for a moment before looking back at the moon.

"Yeah..." I say and then gasp. "I know what I want to be when I grow up, apa!"

"What is it?" He looks at me with a smile.

"An astronaut!"

His smile widens. "Really?!" He takes my hand and I nod. "I believe in you." He gives my cheek a light peck.

I smile and wrap my arms around his neck.

"Let's go together, okay?" I pull away and look at him.

"Okay..." He smiles.

Apa... I promise... I'll visit you one day...

"Are you in pain?" A soft voice whispers and I slowly open my eyes.

--Kaoru POV--

"Apa..." She says in her sleep.

She's breathing heavily and sweating so much.

I place the wet towel on her head.

"Okay..." A tear rolls down her cheek and I wipe it away with my thumb.

"Are you in pain?" I whisper into her ear.

Her eyes start to open and I jump away from her.

"Who are you?" She says adorably.

"Oh Kaoru!" Kako's mother open the door and her eyes widen. "What are you doing here today? Come in come in!" She opens the door and I step in.

"Um... I was planning on going to the beach with Kako today..." I say.

"Ohhh well... I think she's sick, sweetheart." She turns around and I follow her into the living room.

"Hghh..." I see her lying down on the sofa, wrapped up in a blanket with a painful expression.

"Kako..." I stare at her.

"Well... Thank god you came... I thought of skipping work today so I could stay at home and take care of her... But now that you're here... Do you mind staying and looking after her?" She looks at me hopefully and I nod.

"S-Sure..."

She grins. "Sorry to bother you like this. Ageha and Ota would usually be the ones to stay at home and look after her but they're out selling crackers." She gives a wry smile.

She looks so tired...

"No! It's fine." I manage a smile and she ruffles my hair.

"I'm so glad my Kako finally met a good boy like you." She smiles. "Alright then! I'm off!" She gives Kako a peck on the forehead. "She might act a little... Unusual... When she wakes up." She gives a knowing smile and kisses my forehead.

"Look after her." She smiles and walks past me. "Adios!"

"Uh... Kaoru?" I say and she stares at me.

"Kaoru..." She reaches out for me and I freeze. "Soft..." She touches my hair and I stare at her. "It looks spiky... But it's soft..."

Her cheeks flushed red, she smiles childishly, as if drunk.

I felt the heat rise to my face.

"Kaoru..." Her hand travels down to my ear and she giggles.

"She might act a little... Unusual... When she wakes up."

"K-Kako!" I take her hand that was touching my ear.

She pouts and with her other hand, touches my hair again.

"Uh!" I take her hand again and she giggles as her other hand touches my hair again. "S-Stop that!" She pouts and keeps touching my hair. I take her hand again and again and she frowns.

"Don't you love me?" She looks at me and my lip twitches.

"O-Of course I do..." I look down and feel her hand on my hair again.

I look up and she giggles.

Cute...

I smile and then she pouts. "Kao-chan!" She throws her arms around me and cries.

"K-Kako! W-What's wrong..." I peer at her face and she looks up at me.

She smiles and then presses her lips onto mine.
