"I love her." He whispers and my heart panged painfully.

He... Loves her...?

"Woah!" I slip and fall.

"K-Kako!" Kaoru starts slipping and I see him fall forward.

"A-Ack!" I squeeze my eyes shut and he falls on top of me.

I open my eyes and look down to see Kaoru's face on my chest.

"E-Eeek!" I squeal even though I'm flat chested.

"S-Sorry!" He gets up and helps me up.

"I-It's okay... W-what time is it?" I change the subject.

"Um..." He takes his phone out. "Seven."

"Ohhh." I look around.

"That hat looks cute on you." He says and I grab his arm before falling again.

"T-Thank you..."

We start walking over to the edge of the ice and Kaoru helps me out.

"Let's get something to eat." He says as he hands his chauffeur the ice-skates.

"Okay." I nod.

He takes my hand and we start walking downtown.

"What do you feel like eating?" He asks.

"Hmmm..." I look around and see a traditional Japanese restaurant, and right in front is a stand. "Takoyaki..." I whisper.

"Takoyaki?" Kaoru spots the stand and starts pulling me toward it. "They only have one type..." Kaoru starts ordering.

"K-Kaoru I don't have any money!" I say and he chuckles.

"It's fine. I'll pay."

"N-No! You always buy me stuff!"

"Thank you." He hands the man ten dollars and turns to me with the takoyaki in hand.

"K-Kaoru!" I stomp my foot. "I'm paying you back!" I say angrily and he grins.

"Why is it that you don't want me to get you anything even though I'm rich?" He tilts his head. "I'm just curious... I've been thinking about it a lot lately."

"Well... Just because you're rich... Is... not an excuse for me to let you waste your money..." I look down.

"But if it's for you... it's not a waste..." He mumbles but I hear him.

I shake my head and look down.

Why is he saying things like that? Doesn't he like that girl?

I pout. "S-so..." I look up at him as he takes a bite of the takoyaki. "That girl you mentioned... W-what's her name? I'm just curious is all..." I start to look away.

"Ka-" His voice was cut off by a familiar voice.

"Luna!" I turn my head to see Irie waving at me.

"Oh." I look at Kaoru to see him making a sour expression.

"Hey! How are you?" He hugs me and I hug back.

"Good. Yourself?" I pull away and he smiles.

"Well... There's something I want to tell you." He winks.

"Oh?"

I wonder if Kaoru's jealous?

I glance at Kaoru and see him glaring at Irie.

"Luna." Irie turns my head and from the corner of my eyes I see Kaoru jump a little.

"S-sorry!" I chuckle and he notices Kaoru.

"Woah... Who's this?" Irie stands back up straight.

"Oh uh... Irie this is Kaoru. Kaoru this is Irie."

Irie takes Kaoru's hand and shakes it. I can tell Kaoru's smile was forced as he shook Irie's hand back.

"Nice to meet you!"

--Kaoru POV--

Oh how I wish I could break his hand.

I feel my eyes twitch. He pulls his hand away and then throws an arm around Kako's shoulder. I look up at him and gulp.

"So how did you get to know my Luna?" He smiles at me.

My Luna? So this is her boyfriend... He's almost as tall as Mori... Does she like tall guys?

"Um... We go to the same school." I force a smile.

My stomach hurts... I feel like i'm going to throw up.

"Ohhh Ouran huh?" He looks at Kako and she nods. "So are you guys on a date?" He smirks.

Huh?

"Sorry to bother you!" He holds his hands up. "But Luna I just wanted to tell you..."

So... Not a boyfriend? Or is she in an... Open relationship or something...?

"I met this guy... His name is Usui... Super cute..." He says and I hiccup.

What? What?

"Oh! When?" Kako looks at me and smirks before turning back to look at Irie.

"A few days ago! I'm actually going to meet him now." He then looks at his watch. "I'm late! Talk on Monday?" He hugs Kako.

"Okay. Have fun!"

Irie waves to us and Kako waves back.

After watching him go I turn to her and smile wryly.

"We should go." She smiles.

"O-Oh okay!" We start walking to the car.

When we reach her place, I hand her bag over to her and we both stand there in silence.

"So um... I asked you what the girl's name was earlier but Irie cut me off... You don't have to tell me or anything... I was just-"

I place both my hands on her cheeks and she looks up at me with wide eyes.

"Kako." I say and she blinks.

"Y-Yes?"

I chuckle and shake my head.

"Kako." I say again and she furrows her brows.

"I don't-"

I press my lips against hers and then pull away a few seconds later.

"Her name's Kako."
