From Sunset
a boat ride of clouds for me
in the apple blossoms flowing
like a gush of respite far away
in the horizons blushing rubies
a maiden fair she is shy and lingering
to open the laces of the sun's tired shoes
a gentle whisper from the bamboo groves
lost in a village by the sea
caressing my shampooed tresses
a silken wave it stirs in black forest
a butterfly drenched in honey
textured in cinnamon and floating
in a cardamom raft loosed from
some deserted bazaar somewhere
back in the lanes that we have passed
a letter dripping in riot of colors
soaking my brain in tea bags of mist
that grows quitely amongst the peal
of bells and conch shell bleats -
you have quietly grown older for me
into a midsummer's rainy night
