Just A Little Longer
The blonde nodded, and used his auto mail blade. He clapped his hands together, and placed one on his metal arm, slowly raising it to his hand, and following him was a blade, and a blue spark. Edward tightly shut his eyes, and winced.
"What's wrong?!" Roy asked worriedly.
"Pr-Pride he's-" The blonde let out a small whimper, and Roy forced himself up, his wound still bleeding. He wasn't sure he was going to live through this one. He wrapped an arm around Edward, and pulled him close.
Ed rested his head against the older male's chest, and he used his auto mail to make the cut, wincing slightly as he did so. Blood slowly seeped out of Ed's hand, and began to form a small puddle.
Eventually, the liquid version of the stone was seen, and the mark on Ed's shoulder disappeared. The now restored blonde looked to his superior.
"Hang on Colonel Bastard." He stood from his spot and ran to the infirmary, grabbing a first aid kit and rushing back to Roy's office.
"Lay down, and open your shirt for me." The blonde demanded. Roy chuckled weakly and nodded. Ed treated the wound, and wrapped bandages around it, sighing in relief when he was done. He closed up the kit, and Roy looked at him.
"Edward, come here for a sec." He pleaded. The boy nodded and crawled towards him. When he was close enough, Roy pulled the boy into a kiss. Edward blushed, but kissed him back. When the two pulled apart, their foreheads rested against one another.
"Colonel, can I be honest with you?" The small alchemist asked.
"You mean more than you already have?" Roy chuckled. Edward rolled his eyes.
"Shut up." He mumbled.
"Yes Edward, you can be honest with me." He replied.
"I love you." Ed explained. Roy smiled softly, as he sat up, and pulled the blonde into a heartfelt hug.
"I love you too." Ed smiled. The door suddenly slammed open, and Alphonse came charging in.
"Colonel! Brother's a homunculus!" He exclaimed. He then saw Ed in Roy's lap. "Get away from the Colonel!" He exclaimed again.
"Al, it's me. Ed." The blonde replied, sweat dripping a little.
"Oh yeah?! If it's really Brother, tell me something only Ed would know!" Alphonse decided.
"Alright. When you were younger, during a thunderstorm, you'd wet the bed." Edward explained, chuckling slightly.
"Brother! Nobody was supposed to know that!" He exclaimed. This conversation ended in Al chasing Ed around Roy's office. Once the brother's had calmed down, Roy pulled Ed into another kiss.
"And that's how I met your father." A 22 year old, Edward Elric explained. Two kids sat in front of him, and a 36 year old Roy Mustang had his arms wrapped around Ed's waist. The two kids giggled.
"Hey mommy?" Their now 13 year old daughter asked. "What is it?" Edward replied. A few years back, Ed and Roy had married, and they decided to adopt two kids.
"What's for dinner?" The girl asked, making Ed and Roy chuckle.
"I'm not sure. Roy, what's for dinner?" He asked, turning towards his husband. The man rolled his eyes.
"I'll think about it." He sighed.
"Well don't take too long to think about it daddy! We want to eat sometime soon!" Their 11 year old son replied. Ed just laughed at Roy's expression. The man could probably take years to figure this one out.
"Well, I'll help daddy figure out what's for dinner, how about you two go play?" Edward suggested. The two kids nodded, and scurried off to their playroom. Ed and Roy smiled. The raven headed man laced their hands together, and gently kissed the blonde next to him.
Not everyone in the world can have good luck. Thats what makes them human. Their mistakes keep them on the right path. Ed nuzzled his head into the crook of Roy's neck. And sometimes, all you need is a mistake to change your life around.
