P.O.V Jerome

I walked next to Mitch and Sky. They haven’t left my side since we left the park. Ty was in the lead with Dawn. Dan, Dakota, and Seto walked in front of us, and Jason, Quentin, and Ian walked behind us. It felt like we were the people they were protecting, which for me it kind of was. Ty knocked on the door in front of us in a specific way. The door opened and a blue Bacca ({Don’t hate me for this}) appeared on the other side.

“Hey Ty.” He smiled. “Hello James, we have new people.” Ty spoke walking in. I walked past the Bacca, he waved and locked the door behind us. “You are lucky you know.” James was speaking to me, “To change into human form.” I stopped and looked at him. “I was given to me by a friend.” I told him. “Still lucky.” I fell to my kness grabing my head. It hurt as I saw images flashing in my mind.

{Flash Back}

I ran away from all the screams, and what I just saw. “Jerome!” I heard my name being called. I was told to run, no matter what I saw. I hid in the woods under a large tree that I could lean against. I was only 5 years old at the time. I just watched four Bajan’s storm into my house and kill my mom. I couldn’t get the screaming out of my head, as it rung for a long time. I closed my eyes shut tightly and I was hoping to die. I didn’t want to live here alone. I heard new screaming coming from the other side of the woods. I stood up again and walked to where I was hearing the scream. There was a girl about my age screaming at the women that was laying down on the ground, dead. I hid in the tree line looking at the girl, she was human. I could smell it on her. Someone grabbed me from behind and covered my mouth,

“Shh,” the women hushed me. “Stay here.” she slowly let go of me and walked over to the girl. “Leave me alone.”I heard the girl yell at the women. She lifted her hand and pushed the women against the tree, killing her. I covered my mouth again seeing the anger and pain in the girl. Even though I was young, I still understood what was happening. I walked out and grabbed the girl hiding the white eyes that were showing. “I-it is okay.” I whispered like my mom use to me to do. I could feel the tears streaming from my face only my brown fur. “What are you?” she lifted her head up looking at me.

“I-I am a Bacca.” I told her, she smiled. “I will give you one gift, but you will forget about me, and I will forget about you. Until something happens.” I was confused on what she meant, but she softly touched my chest where my heart was and I watched as my fur turned to skin, and every part of my body turned human. “W-what?” I then forgot where I was, and why I was there.

{Flash Back over}

James was bent over next to me. “Yo dude are you okay?” he asked me. I nodded and stood back up. “I-I knew who gave me this power.” I told him. The rest looked at me in confusion. “The reason I can change human to Bacca, is because of Samantha, when we first met. She help me forget about my mom being killed, and about her. I know now, why.” I stood up and rubbed my head again. “To protect me and herself, but then we soon became friends and that is why she wanted me to forget.” Ty walked forward and looked at me. “We have a problem.”
