Chapter 3
The gong had been sounded, so the match had officially begun.
You stared at Jura, wondering what you should do.
Should I attack first? You thought. But it looks like he's concentrating.
Suddenly, Jura's eyebrows furrowed together and the ground started to rumble.
You took a deep breath, readying yourself for the attack.
"Rumbling Mount Fuji!"
The ground beneath you gave way, but you didn't fall. You were stuck in the air as a large burst of magic power shot up from the core of the Earth.
"Oh boy, would you look at that!" The announcer exclaimed, "Jura made the first move, attacking Fairy Tail's (Y/N)!"
You admit the attack hurt and your body was sore, but this match just got started.
No way were you surrendering yet.
Once the attack subsided, your body hit the ground as a cloud of dust and debris surround you.
You stood to your feet, coughing from the air pollution. Let's see . . "Storm Dragon's Roar!" Your breath attack shot through the air, clearing the dust and debris, and headed straight toward Jura.
"Iron Rock Wall!" He shouted as a literal rock wall ascended from the ground, shielding him from your attack.
Your roar collided with Jura's rock wall, shattering it. However, after the wall was shattered, your attack dispersed.
Wasn't enough, huh?
"Iron Rock Fist!" A giant human-shaped fist, made entirely out of the Earth itself, came up from the ground and headed toward you.
And it moved surprisingly fast.
You couldn't think of a defensive spell fast enough, so you decided to do something else.
Taking a deep breath, you closed your eyes and immediately the air around you started to move faster.
You continued to concentrate as the winds you were summoning became stronger.
As Jura's spell came within distance, it slowed down and ultimately came it a complete stop, halting in the air.
The wind that you were creating was blowing away from you, so when the Iron Rock Fist came near you, it stopped because of the wind acting against it.
"Woah!" The announcer yelled excitedly, "Instead of dodging or casting another spell back at Jura, Fairy Tail's (Y/N) has stopped his attack completely!"
While the wind was pushing against the iron fist, more wind gathered above it, pushing down.
The Iron Rock Fist was pushed into the ground, crumbling on impact.
Whispers and murmurs filled the stadium.
"Jura's a Wizard Saint, right?"
"That little Fairy can keep up with Jura!?"
"Who is she?"
The Fairy Tail B team smiled as they watched the match.
"She's doing really well." Mira giggled with a smile.
"Yeah, Juvia had no idea that (Y/N) was this strong." Juvia commented.
If she was around when the whole Fairy vs. Phantom thing happened, I'd be six feet under right now. Gajeel thought.
"Of course, she's strong." Laxus said, looking down at you. "After all, she's my girl-" Upon realizing what he was about to say, he abruptly cut himself off. No, she's not. He grimaced in his head.
The three other members noticed his mistake, but chose not to say anything. Mira just gave Laxus a sympathetic smile.
Back on the field, Jura put his index and middle fingers together, raising them in front of his face.
"Supreme King Rock Crush!"
Dozens of large rocks came up from the ground around Jura. A second later, all of those rocks came at you quickly.
From a watcher's point of view, it looked like the rocks hit hit you dead on and created a rock pile that surrounded you, crushing your body.
Fairy Tail didn't want to believe that you'd actually been hit by the attack, especially Laxus.
But when they heard your loud grunt of pain, they knew that you had been hit.
Laxus gripped the edge of the balcony, his veins appearing on his hands. He stared intently at the pile of rocks, which was where you once stood.
C'mon, (Y/N). He pleaded in his head. Please, be okay.
The arena went quiet, wondering if you were defeated or not.
The announcer was about to comment on your 'defeat', but then he heard something.
Everyone heard something.
And it sounded like . . . munching?
A couple of rocks from the front of the pile rolled out of the pile and away from the group, leaving a whole in your burial.
From the inside, you kicked the pile of rocks, causing them to collasp, freeing you.
Standing there, you held a single rock in your hand that hand a chunk bitten out.
And you were chewing on something.
Jura's eyes widened. As did, everyone else's. Except Fairy Tail.
"Oh my!" The announcer shouted excitedly, "(Y/N) is apparently eating Jura's rocks!"
"That's (Y/N) for ya!" Phoebe grinned.
Laxus sighed in relief, smiling to himself. You idiot.
"Impressive." Jura smiled, amused. "I had no idea that you could eat the Earth."
You swallowed before speaking. "I can eat anything that has to do with a storm. The four elements and lightning."
In the Sabertooth balcony, Lector was shocked. "She's a Dragon Slayer! Her!" He shouted.
"That's weird." Sting spoke up, staring blankly at you. "I've heard of the Fire, Iron, and Sky Dragon Slayers. Heck, I've even heard of the wannabe Lightning and Poison Dragon Slayers! So, how come I've never heard of her?"
"I believe I have, if my memory is correct." Rufus said with a smirk.
"Oh yeah?"
"She's not wildly talked about like the others, but she has been in Sorcerer Weekly once or twice. You may have noticed by now, but she's the Storm Dragon Slayer. And she used to date the famous Laxus Dreyar, but they broke up seven years ago."
"Really?" Sting grinned wickedly, looking down at you. "She was able to show the Laxus a good time? Kinda wonder why they broke up. I mean, she is hot."
"Not interested." Rogue growled.
"If you say so." Sting sighed. Wonder if she'd give me a good time?
You got on one knee and put your hand on the ground. "Storm Dragon's Sandstorm!"
The wind began to gain speed and the sand and dust from the ground started to rise and fill the air around your opponent.
Jura became invisible as the sandstorm surrounded him.
Then a bell went off.
"That's the end of the match!" The announcer said. Your attack dispersed, but not by your doing. "Both fighters are still standing, so this match ends in a tie! Lamia Scale and Fairy Tail B will earn five points!"
The crowd cheered, but you mostly heard your guild. You sighed walking off of the field, only to be met by your team.
"I'm so proud of you!" Mira exclaimed, hugging you. You smiled awkwardly, patting her head.
"Juvia thinks that was amazing!" Juvia said.
"You're one tough chick, ain't ya?" Gajeel smirked.
"I knew you could do it." Laxus said.
"Thanks guys." You sheepishly rubbed the back of your neck.
Makarov had announced that Fairy Tail was going to celebrate both failure and your tie with a Wizard Saint, so everyone was walking to the nearest bar.
You were walking with your partner, Phoebe, when you felt a presence behind you.
"Who's there?" You growled, glaring over your shoulder.
From the shadows, a blond walked towards you. You could see his guildmark on his arm.
Sabertooth.
"Yo," He smirked, waving. "I'm Sting, and you're (Y/N), right?"
"Last time I checked." You said plainly.
"I watched your match. So, you're a Dragon Slayer too?"
"You use Dragon Slayer Magic?"
"Sure do. I'm the White Dragon Slayer. The third generation."
"Third?"
Sting's smirk grew, "Yeah, I was raised by a dragon and had a lacrima put inside my body. Unlike your ex."
"What was that?" You asked through gritted teeth. You tried to supress your anger.
"I heard you dated that fake Dragon Slayer, Laxus. I was wonderin' why you two broke up."
"None of your business." You swiftly turned your back to him and started to walk away.
"If it was me, I'd give you a real adventure." Sting said, making you freeze.
"What?" You looked over your shoulder again.
"Why not date a real Dragon Slayer?" He said.
"Are you implying that I go out with you?" You asked and he nodded in response. You furrowed your eyebrows as Sting walked closer to you.
He had a smirk on his face the entire time. He quickly closed the space between you two by grabbing you by your waist, pulling you toward him, and smashing his lips against yours.
Your eyes almost popped out of your head.
Phoebe froze, wide eyed and jaw dropped.
And Laxus, who came looking for you since you hadn't arrived at the bar yet, stood a couple of feet behind you.
His eyes were wide too, but his emotions went from shocked to rage in a split second.
