Chapter 27
To your surprise, all of your stuff was already put into a room and unpacked.
It was finally time for you to be in the room that your parents said you would have grew up in.
And it was truly a room for a princess.
But one question poked at your skull: how are you a princess?
"Tell me everything." You demanded, folding your arms over your chest. You were in your bedroom with your mother and father (and Phoebe, of course) and now you wanted answers.
Vicent and Vivian glanced at each other with grim expressions before signing and looking at you once again.
"It happened nearly four hundred years ago." Vincent began, "Your mother had given birth to you only six months prior, but those were the happiest first six months that we spent with you. Then one night a rival clan attacked, seeking to be the most powerful in the land. I told your mother to run off with you, so you would not be harmed in the battle. And so she did."
"I quickly ran down the corridor while holding you, my newborn, in my arms and being as careful as possible." Vivian continued the story, "Little did I know that the Winchester clan leader had sought me out."
Flashback to 400 years ago
"Vivian, Vivian, Vivian." Stepping out of the shadows was none other than Joseph Winchester, the leader of the Winchester clan. He had a smirk on his face as he taunted her by calling her name in a sing-song fashion.
Vivian came to a halt since her path was now blocked by the Winchester. Nevertheless, she pressed baby (Y/N) closer to her body, securing the infant.
"What is it you want, Joseph?" She asked sternly.
"Oh," Joseph raised his eyebrows for dramatic effect. "You know what I want, Viv." In a flash, he was quickly in front of the woman. "I want you." He said, caressing her cheek.
Vivian tore her face away from the enemy and stepped back. "Our time together is over Joseph!" She growled at him, clearly angered by his persistence. "I will never be yours!"
The male's smirk dropped and he looked at her with a dry, stoic expression. "You will." He said, his voice oozing with confidence. "I know you will because I'm going to make sure of it." With speed not visible to the naked eye, he was in front of Vivian again, but this time he wasn't there for her.
He was there for the baby.
He snatched little (Y/N) from Vivian's arms and quickly backed a couple of feet away.
"Aww, you engraved her name on her blanket." Joseph taunted. "How cute."
"My baby!" Vivian growled, anger rising within her as her voice began to rise. "GIVE ME BACK MY BABY!"
"Is that any way to ask for what you want, Viv?"
"Joseph, I warn you. Hand over my baby."
"No, you see, this is what's going to happen. I'm sending your daughter far, far away from this land. Somewhere where you'll never think of finding her. And when the time is right, I'll come for her. I'll use her to get to you and since you're a mother and all, you'll come to rescue her."
"Joseph," Vivian was now on the verge of tears, "please, don't . ."
"Think of it as a punishment." Joseph sneered. "I lost someone I love, so now you can go decades without your beloved child."
"NO!" Vivian screamed. Her eyes turned red and she grew sharp, pearly white fangs that matched her already pearly white teeth. With immense speed, she charged towards Joseph, prepared to fight him, but once she was close enough, Jospeh vanished into thin air.
And along with him was baby (Y/N).
"NOOOOO!" Vivian sobbed, dropped to her knees as hot tears flowed from her red eyes.
End of Flashback
"We're not sure what happened to you after that." Vivian said.
"I was raised by a dragon." You told them.
"I see." Your mother smiles.
"W-Wait!" Phoebe stuttered, a panicked look on her face. "Y-You said that you got angry a-and-"
"I grew fangs." Vivian finished the exceed's statement.
"We're vampires." Vincent clarified. "Leaders of our own clan."
There it was. You heard your mother decribe her anger during her storytelling, but you wanted to ignore that fact. Vampires aren't real. You kept telling yourself.
Well, your entire life everybody told you that dragons weren't real. It's a real slap in the face, isn't it?
"If you're my parents and you're vampires," You shifted on your feet and raised an eyebrow, "how come I haven't grown any fangs or showed signs of vampirism?"
"You mentioned that a dragon raised you, correct?" Your father asked and you nooded in response. "Over the decades of searching for you, we came across a spell that seals one's true identity."
"Are you saying that-"
"This dragon must have discovered what you are - most likely when your fangs grew in as a toddler - and, thinking it was dangerous, decided to seal away your vampire identity."
You stared at your parents with your mouth agape. This was a lot to take in and your brain was still trying to process what you had been told.
"We found a reversal." Your mother spoke up.
"Huh?" You mumbled, still in a state of mild shock.
"A reversal ritual that will, obviously, reverse the spell on you." Vincent said.
"You can be a vampire like you were always meant to be." Vivian smiled, but her smile was forced.
She was clearly upset and sad.
Did you really want to be a vampire?
Magnolia, Fiore
"What do you mean you can't find her!?" Laxus snapped at Cana.
"I mean, I can't get a reading on her!" Cana snapped back. "I don't know where she is!"
"Laxus," Makarov spoke up, "it's not Cana's fault. Take it easy."
"I can't 'take it easy!'" He growled. "(Y/N) is who-knows-where with that old fart and his son!"
In that moment, the doors to the guild creeked open and a tall man, who was rather pale looking, with midnight black hair and piercing blue eyes - also appearing to be around the same age as Vincent - strolled into the guild.
"Excuse me, I'm here looking for (Y/N)." The man said, "I believe here she goes by (Y/N) (L/N)."
Laxus, who was glaring at the man who apparently knew you, opened his mouth to interrogate the man, but his grandfather (who knew what Laxus was about to do) spoke first.
"Unfortunately, (Y/N) isn't here right now." He informed, "May I ask how you know her?"
"I'm a friend of her original family-"
"So you know where they look her?" Laxus interrupted, getting in the man's face.
"You mean they came for her?" The man asked, surprised.
"Yes, a little while earlier actually." Makarov answered.
"Then, indeed, I know where she is." The man nodded.
"Good." Laxus grunted. "Take me there."
"Not a problem, sir." The man turned around to leave, but Laxus asked another question.
"By the way, who are you?"
The man's lips twitched upwards into a smirk, which no one saw. He had honestly thought it would take them longer to find you, but now he knows exactly where you are. But he can't alarm the traveling party. He turned around and introduced himself.
"My name is Joseph."
