Seven years later. . .

Your head hurt. It was throbbing. Your body hurt. What was the last thing you remember?

Tenrou island.

S-Class trials.

Grimoire Heart.

A storm.

A dragon.

Acnologia.

And Laxus.

He returned. You were so happy.

"YOU'RE IN BIG TROUBLE FOR STEPPING FOOT ON THIS ISLAND WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE EXPELLED!" Makarov shouted at his grandson.

The next second Laxus was tackled by the Thunder Legion.

"I missed you so much!" Freed cried.

"I thought we'd never see you again!" Evergreen cried as well.

"Welcome back, buddy!" Bickslow said.

"Get off of me." Laxus growled.

After the trio calmed down, Laxus sensed that someone was staring at him. He looked over his shoulder and saw you staring at him with eyes full of tears, your body covered in bandages.

(Y/N). He thought. He stood up and walked towards you. Your body shook from trying to hold the tears in.

"Hey," He greeted, "been a while."

You nodded your head, not trusting yourself to speak.

"How have you been?"

You growled internally at the fact that he was trying to get you to talk. "Good." You mumbled, "I've missed you though."

"I missed you too." He gave a small smile, "More than you know."

"So, are you staying?" You were hesitant to ask, afraid of the answer.

Knowing what you really meant, Laxus sighed. "No, I'm still expelled." He wished it wasn't the case. He wished he was allowed back into Fairy Tail so he could be your boyfriend again.

But he wasn't.

You opened your mouth to respond, but a deafening dragon's roar interrupted you.

You slowly opened your eyes and found yourself staring at the clear blue sky.

Eventually, everyone gathered on the island and learned that after Acnologia's attack, First Master Mavis protected the island using Fairy Sphere. However, the spell took seven years to complete.

You've been on this island, asleep, for seven years.

A rescue team who just-so-happened to be nearby took everyone back to the guild.

Back home.

Only, Fairy Tail was now the weakest guild in Fiore.

A new guild, Sabertooth, held the title of the strongest guild.

Demanding to know how Fairy Tail could get their reputation back, Romeo told the returning members about the Grand Magic Games.

The GMG is a magic competition between the eight guilds that make it past the preliminary round.

The winner of the GMG gains the title of Fiore's Strongest Guild and a large jewel reward.

So, of course Makarov decided to participate.

He assigned two Fairy Tail teams, promising that each team could do whatever they wanted to the losing team.

Team A was Natsu, Gray, Erza, Lucy, and Wendy.

Team B was Gajeel, Juvia, Mirajane, Laxus, and you.

And an hour or so before receiving this news, Laxus' expulsion was lifted.

Everything was going great until you realized that your magic wasn't up to date.

So, Makarov sent everybody who was asleep on Tenrou Island on a training session.

Everyone split up into teams and went off on their separate ways. They would be training for three months straight.

You and Phoebe, obviously, went with Laxus and the Thunder Legion.

The blond led you to the mountains for "an intense workout," as he said it.

Thirty minutes after arriving, Laxus demanded that you all start training.

He suggested that everyone fight each other in groups, which everyone agreed to.

Laxus claimed you as his training partner and the Thunder Legion trio decided to train together.

"Get back, Phoebe." You instructed, not wanting her to get hurt.

"Don't have to tell me twice." She groaned, flying away from you.

Laxus attacked first, "Lightning Dragon's Roar!"

You decided to copy him, "Storm Dragon's Roar!" Black clouds mixed with lightning came out of your mouth, colliding head on with Laxus' attack.

An exploision went off, but didn't affect neither of you. You both waited for the dust to clear up before continuing.

Laxus smirked, "Lightning Dragon's Breakdown Fist!"

You smirked back, "Storm Dragon's Hurricane!"

The wind around the area picked up very quickly. You jumped to dodge Laxus' attack, and put your focus back on Laxus. The clouds in the sky turned a dark grey color as the winds reached 170 miles per hour. Then it began to rain heavily as a massive hurricane formed above Laxus.

The strong winds trapped Laxus in an air tunnel, which he tried to free himself from. Then the hurricane came crashing down to Earth, hitting Laxus directly.

The ground shook from the impact as you watched the aftermath of your spell.

Laxus stood in his same exact spot, but he was in an intense defensive stance. Although, he wasn't defeated, the attack did do some damage.

His pants and button up shirt were torn, and he had some new scratches.

"You're as strong as ever." He said, "I missed your magic."

You smiled in response. The whole way here, Laxus never once brought up the topic of you two getting back together.

And you've been wondering.

He's in Fairy Tail now, what's holding him back?

You wish you knew the answer.

"Lightning Dragon's Heavenward Halberg!"

The command of a spell snapped you out of your thoughts. You jumped and dodged the attack. But while you were still in the air, Laxus appeared behind you.

"Raging Bolt!"

The attack hit you head on and you hit the ground pretty hard. And although it hurt, it wasn't nearly enough to defeat you.

"You're strong too." You said, standing up and rubbing your head.

Laxus just smirked at you. He wanted to get back together with you, but he didn't want to rush it.

He literally just got accepted back into the guild.

Maybe after Fairy Tail won the Games, he'd ask you out again as a victory reward.

You two kept fighting after that. And that was basically what you did for the next three months.

The crowd cheered for the wizards on the field. Except, Fairy Tail. When Natsu's team entered, they were booed.

You wanted to snap some necks at that point. How dare they insult Fairy Tail like that?

"All eight teams are on the field!" The announcer exclaimed, "We've got Fairy Tail A, Quatro Cerberus, Blue Pegasus, Mermaid Heel, Lamia Scale, Raven Tail, Fairy Tail B, and Sabertooth!" The crowd roared once more. "Let Day 1 of the Grand Magic Games begin!"

That once pumped up energy was shredded to pieces after today's competition game called Hidden.

Both Fairy Tail teams came in last place.

And if there was one thing you hated, it was losing. You were very competitive.

After the competition, there was battles between a wizard from another guild. All of the fights were pretty boring to you. The only one that remotely gained your interest was when Orga from Sabertooth fought in his match.

You didn't know black lightning existed.

"Now, it's time for our final battle of the day!" The announcer exclaimed, "This match will be between Jura Neekis from Lamia Scale and (Y/N) (L/N) from Fairy Tail B!"

"What?" Your eyes widened, "Me?"

"And against Jura, of all people." Mirajane gave you a sympathetic smile.

"Don't worry." Laxus smiled at you, "You can take him."

You smiled back. "Thank you, Laxus."

"Anytime."

A nice hug and a kiss would be great, You thought, but I guess that's not gonna happen.

You left your team and walked to the field of the arena.

"Kick his old butt, (Y/N)!" You heard Natsu shout.

"Show him who's boss!" Gray shouted.

"You can do it, (Y/N)! I believe in you!" Erza shouted.

You turned towards them and flashed them a grin before turning your attention back to your soon-to-start match.

Jura was standing a few feet in front if you, calm and composed as ever.

"Alright wizards, this is the final battle for today! Keep it clean and not too deadly! You have a thirty minute time limit!"

The crowd cheered at the top of their lungs, excited to see a Wizard Saint fight.

"Let the match begin!" A gong was sounded, signaling the start of the match.

You took a deep breath, here we go!
