Chapter 16
"Yukino Aguria."
Yukino's eyes widened from the sight of your current state. You didn't look like yourself, that's for sure.
Were you possessed by someone? A dark mage, perhaps?
Yes, yes, that must be it!
But naïvety will get you killed, Yukino.
"Who are you?" Yukino asked sternly, deciding in her mind that a dark mage is controlling you.
"You know exactly who I am." You spat. "Don't play innocent, Yukino."
"(Y/N)-sama," The Celestial Mage said hesitantly. "t-tell me, what's gotten into you?" Or rather, who. She thought, her hand slowly gripping her golden keys.
You chuckled manically, your shoulders shaking as you did so. Once you calmed down after a few seconds, you glared at her again.
"I just want to stop a problem before it starts." You stated in a monotone voice. "And the problem is you."
"Me?" Yukino's eyes widened and a split second later, you were directly in front of her.
Not wasting a second, you raised the hammer and hit Yukino in the head. She flew back into the wall, dropping her Celestial Spirit gate keys.
It happened in the blink of an eye. It was so quick. Yukino only saw a flash of your skin before a throbbing pain coursed through her skull and she was sent flying.
She winced upon impact and felt something running down the side of her head. She raised a hand to the left side of her head, near her ear, and felt something wet. Removing her hand, she looked down at her fingertips and saw blood.
Then she heard footsteps coming toward her.
She looked up and saw you sauntering closer and closer, swaying your hips with confidence.
"(Y-Y/N)-sama," Yukino stuttered softly. "ho-how am I a problem to you?" I need to stall her until I can reach my keys. She thought, spotting her keys a few feet away from her, by your feet.
"You like Sting." You replied, your voice low and dangerous.
The girl's eyes widened in shock. She knows!? Her heart rate increased as she tried to keep herself from panicking. How does she know?
"You're going to end up taking Sting away from me." You continued. "So, I'm just going to kill you now!"
Yukino saw a flash of silver and leaned to the left, attempting to get away somehow.
But it was too late.
You took the pair of scissors and nonchalantly flung them into Yukino's shoulder as if it was a normal thing to do.
She gasped in pain and whimpered, tears forming in her brown eyes. She looked at you with those same teary eyes. "(Y/N)-sama," She muttered, "this isn't like you."
"Well, I wouldn't have to do this if you would just stay away from Sting." You shrugged your shoulders. "Far away."
"I-I will!" She said immediately, her eyes pleading with you. "I promise!"
You turned sinister again in the blink of an eye. "You're lying." You growled.
"N-No, I'm not! I-I swear!"
"Shut up."
While you were glaring down at Yukino, she took the opportunity (deciding that this was as good of a time as ever) to gather all of her strength and kick you in your right calve.
She watched you stumble back and quickly crawled toward her keys, ignoring the pain she was in. As soon as she grabbed the keys, she wobbled to her feet.
At about the same time, you had regained your balance. And now you definitely not happy.
"Whoever you are, I will release (Y/N)-sama from your control." Yukino stated, determined.
You had a blank expression on your face as you lazily glanced at the kitchen clock. "I've got to finish this up." You sighed. "Sting could wake up at any moment to use the bathroom."
Yukino's eyebrows furrowed at that sentence. "Open! Gate of the Scales!" The respective key glowed as she began summoning her spirit. "Libra ♎!"
You stared at your opponent unfazed.
As Libra appeared, Yukino squeezed her eyes shut as she attempted to pull the pair of scissors out of her shoulder.
"L-Libra," Yukino whimpered. "change the target's center of gravity."
"As you wish." The spirit complied, raising a hand, which held a scale, in front of her face.
In an instant, you were sent flying back and out of the window, the glass shattering upon impact.
You landed on the cool concrete ground, back first, surrounded by glass shards. You were held down by the weight of gravity, unable to move.
"Good job, Libra!"
You heard Yukino's voice from inside the house. She appeared in the area where the window once was, holding her injured, scissor-free shoulder that was bleeding.
"(Y/N)-sama . . ." She mumbled, looking down at you.
"I'm done playing around." You growled, glaring up at her.
Yukino raised her eyebrows in confusion, but then she heard thunder in the distance. Thunder? She thought.
Thunder was heard again, sounding closer than the last. But this time, lightning flashed across the sky.
The building storm became closer and closer until it was right above the girls' head. Lightning flashed again, but instead of simply flashing in the sky, it came toward the ground.
The lightning hit Yukino's roof, startling her.
"Begone." You snarled.
"(Y/N)-sama, come to your senses!" She pleaded.
Another crackling of lightning was heard before it came down again.
Toward Yukino.
"Yukino!" Before the lightning could strike her, she was tackled out of the way.
She landed on her back and groaned lightly from pain. But her eyes widened when she realized who saved her.
"S-Sting-sama!" She gasped.
Sting was both bewildered and confused. What was going on? He was looking for (Y/N) when he heard thunder. "Yukino, what's going on?" He asked.
"I-I don't know. (Y/N)-sama is acting strange."
"(Y/N) . . ." Sting muttered your name. He quickly stumbled to his feet and ran over to you. "(Y/N)!" He called, kneeling next to you. "Are you okay?"
"Sting!" You gasped. Moving your legs slightly, you learned that gravity was no longer holding you down. "Why are you here?"
"I woke up and you weren't in bed, so I came looking for you." He explained. "What are you doing here?"
You sat up and pouted. "I was just taking care of Yukino. I was trying to be quick . . ." You trailed off, mumbling to yourself.
"Take care of Yukino?" Sting repeated, his eyes widening.
"Yeah, well, she was going to take you from me." You mumbled in a very childlike manner.
"Wait, (Y/N)," Sting gripped your shoulders and looked into your eyes with a serious expression. "what do you mean when you say 'take care of Yukino'?"
Please, don't be what I think it is! He pleaded in his head.
"I'm gonna kill her." You replied, looking at the blond and blinking innocently. You spoke as if it was only natural to commit such an act.
K-Kill her? Sting's eyes widened. "(Y/N), you can't kill Yukino!" He screamed.
"Of course I can!" You stated firmly. "I'm not gonna let her ruin our love, Sting!"
The blond gasped. No, this isn't (Y/N). This . . This is all wrong. "(Y-Y/N) . . . what happened to you?" He said in a shaky voice.
I told you so, you fool! Hurry, you need the lamp!
