To everyday see the haunted empty shells

of friends and family you once knew?

Would you be able to ask them to give up rest

Without a remorse of guilt

Of knowing you're asking them to give up peace,

To bring them back into a world of hatred, war, and poverty

Just for them to be with you again?

Even just to say goodbye?
