— Nonith, Southern Wastelands, Anitra —
Sealing a Deity was insultingly easy, to be honest. The cocky little bastard walked right through the portal all on his own, levitating for effect before the debuff in the sealing chamber hit him and he slammed down into the metal floor face-first. "That's surprisingly not as funny as I thought it'd be; boring, really."
The deity slowly looked up at the sound of my voice, grinning. "What a darling attempt at betrayal, dear; still, don't you think it's a little against your best interest? Irritating the person who gifts you XP... unwise."
"Oh I'm not worried, you'll be squeezed dry in your very tiny cell. I'll be fine. Also, betraying you and committing a Coup against a much stronger person, Toppling and Conquering a proverbial Empire of a God, with no one any the wiser, and then using your name to give me access to your allies and enemies alike, all of that will likely Net me a good chunk of levels, if I'm understanding my lessons well, right?" I smirked, and his caramel-colored eyes widened slowly as he realized my point; his Class was based in those things exactly: Betrayals, Coups, Shadow Governing, Conquering Enemies, Destroying Enemies Politically and Physically. I was doing all of these all at once, and I was doing it seamlessly, with no evidence or witnesses. Not even his allies would know he was taken, and with Muradin's Help I would keep up normal correspondence with his allies just like I already did for Rackhavic.
"Ahhh, and much like the Great Deity Ressin before me, I am destroyed by my student... the cycle continues..." he chuckled again, slumping to the floor once more. "This is the spell which defeats Demigods, isn't it?"
"I did promise to show it to you, didn't I? I always keep my word." I grinned, then sent him away into a Maze, where he would languish until he managed to get out of Muradin's Divine Realm. "Now Muradin, can I have his Divine Realm as an Enchantment Material?"
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): You don't want a Training Area made with it? )))
——————————————————————————
"And increase the amount of political fuckery in this planet?"
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): ... ... ... Fair Point. You may use it however you like. What will you be making with it? )))
——————————————————————————
"A Divine Realm for Myself. I'll use it to impersonate him and Rackhavic and any future Demigods I capture; that way they don't get wise and stop giving me their names and Pacts. Plus the creation will create an Avatar of this being, but as my Familiar. And yes, I know it'll be bound to that space, but it won't be able to betray me, so it'll be very useful."
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): You want a Pet God Puppet? )))
——————————————————————————
"Who wouldn't?"
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): ... ... ... You're Adorably Vicious. )))
——————————————————————————
"Careful, or I mute you again and call your wife."
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): She's not my- no, I just meant- you know I adore you, I just meant that- yes, I know, you're right... )))
——————————————————————————
"Ha! I didn't even need to call her, did I? Hey Luxos."
——————————————————————————
((( Message (Luxos): Hello, Dear. Thanks for keeping this idiot on their toes. Good luck and enjoy your Coup D'état!!! )))
——————————————————————————
"Thank you, you're too kind! I definitely will!" I smiled at the screen and closed it, humming a tune while I walked into my office through a silver portal. "Let's make my Divine Realm, Shall we? Merging the Divine Realms of Trelisant and Rackhavic with a Dungeon Core and my own self, alongside scrolls of... Hmm, actually, my entire Grimoire Infinitus, as another Material. That will include all the spells in the entire Spell List as components, as needed. My intention is to create my own Divine Realm as a place wherein people can project their Astral Selves into Golems and explore my Dungeon Town, growing stronger and interacting with each other while providing me with portions of their Mana Regeneration, just like I do with Muradin, except they won't have to be members of my Order or Faith to do so, because the Flesh Golems will be considered 'Familiars' to me. I'll make sure to include Contact Other Plane as a core component, so that I can bring the spirits of people from earth to this world for limited, controlled sessions."
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): NO!!! NO, STOP TRYING TO RUIN MY EXPERIMENT!!! I WILL NOT ALLOW IT!!! )))
——————————————————————————
"Don't worry, they won't believe it's real; I'll convince them it's a Artificial Reality Video Game, and they won't be able to bring back any Mana or Magic with them when they disconnect. They will consider it a game, but they will be helping produce more Mana for this world's survival and Earth's as well, considering if you die Earth dies too, right?"
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): But... how would you manage it without putting Mana into the world? Even if I approve of your idea, Astral Projection still requires Mana on both ends. )))
——————————————————————————
"Did you have to put Mana into the world to kill me and summon my soul?"
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): Well... no, but that was because I used Divinity, which is a separate force... you're not considering me using Divinity for this, are you? I don't have enough for even another hundred people, much less the tens of thousands you're imagining!!! )))
——————————————————————————
"Sure, but Trelisant and Rackhavic do, and it's their Divine Realms I'm using as the Gamer Lobby and Afterlife. Plus, I'm tricking people into believing it's a video game, so I'll get XP for Trickery without having to be horrible to people. Plus Plus, influx of Mana from another source, and an increase in importance for Arcata's Tower of Muradin, which will be the origin point for the Spawning of these Players. Plus Plus Plus, the Souls of the dead from Earth will have a destination beyond the Long Dark, increasing not only their Mana Generation abilities but also providing some succor to their Spirits. (The souls will be confined to the Demiplane and Dungeon, of course, to prevent any dimensional taboo trading problems or day of the dead concerns.) Plus Plus Plus Plus, if the players 'die', they get disconnected and all their accumulated XP gets given to me, and therefore you."
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): Aha, and there's your big twist; you just want them to farm XP for you!!! )))
——————————————————————————
"Isn't that what your followers do for you?" I raised an eyebrow and waited for a response smugly for almost a minute before they deigned to respond.
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): ... But you're not a God? )))
——————————————————————————
"Details, my dear, semantics at best! Regardless, you don't really have a Veto here, so how about you just do your best to make sure it doesn't ruin anything, especially your experiment, okay? Now, as I was saying, on the Earth side of things, I'll use some Divinity to create a small Factory and get Wyatt to make a Company Website for me, and from there sell the 'immersion headsets'. This will take care of my family on Earth, and also assist my efforts to gather Mana for the continuation of this dimension's existence."
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): And your own journey to Apotheosis, apparently. )))
——————————————————————————
"Hey, cherries meet cake, who cares?" I grinned mischievously, then looked at the Gestalt Screen in front of me as it updated with my results, and my entire world twisted for the briefest of moments, before stabilizing like it hadn't moved at all.

Enchantment Material detected: Luxos Metal Cube, (30m^2), Divine Realm Demiplane (x2) Grimoire Infinitus, Tier Seven Dungeon Core, Ythryn Mythallar (Planar Engine), Human Soul (Laura D'Artagnan), Human Being (Anitra Arcata).
Resultant: Divine Realm of The Dungeon Master (Owner: Anitra the Dungeon Master)
——————————————————————————
Activating Fusion...
Resultant Achieved!
Appraisal: The Divine Realm of the Dungeon Master is an Amalgam Demiplane which is designed to look different according to who is seeing it; a human would see a lively town square with cafes and bookstores and quaint little fountains and parks, and would be met by supposed 'Fairies' to explain the rules of existence in the Dungeon Town. A demigod or deity would see the preferred realm of the being they are expecting to meet, such as the Divine Realm of Rackhavic or Trelisant, and would be met with the Avatar of the Being they are trying to meet, with various extremely potent Mental Magics forcing them to consider the being they meet as the Real Original of said Avatar, and to remain calm and friendly whilst they are there. The Divinity of this Realm, drawn from various sources, is entirely separate from Mana, and is used to transport the Souls and Astral Bodies of the beings it ferries to and from Earth without Infecting Earth with any Mana. The souls of the Dead from Earth and Nonith are also collected, upon true death, and given various options within this Divine Realm, as every single soul of Earth and Nonith is claimed by the Divine Realm of Anitra the Dungeon Master, and, by proxy, Muradin the Deity of Magic, the Creator of Both Named Realms.

——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): Well Done, you've managed to do what only two others have done in the entire USS's extensive History. One bad point, however, which I didn't account for: your Achievement got announced in the USS, as well, so any Deity or Elder Demigod that hasn't yet crossed over will now know of it, and of you. You'll need to be a bit more wary, going forward... and those who are here already should be quickly apprehended and brought into the Dungeon, so they don't have the chance to get wise. )))

"Legendary Rising Champion and Living Deity, huh?" I chuckled, now examining my body as the changes ended, and again I noticed the Mana doing very odd things... this time, instead of replacing my muscles, it moved into my tendons and ligaments, bonding to my bones and even spreading into my Joints slightly. "Hmm... interesting."
——————————————————————————
((( Message (Luxos): Any Discomfort? I remember when I reached Tier Three, it was a doozy!!! I nearly passed out from all the Mana and weird senses in my muscles!!! )))
——————————————————————————
"I'm fine, but thanks for asking, dear... my shoulders are a little stiff, to be honest, but it'll work itself out. Now if you could tell Honey to return and continue her work at the School while I return to my Dungeon Hunting, I'll get the rest of the details sorted soon, regarding my limited and careful contact with Earth, for my idea."
——————————————————————————
((( Message (Luxos): About that... you're already receiving a few thousand souls from Earth and Nonith both? Would you like some help managing them all??? )))
——————————————————————————
"... oh shit, I forgot how many people die an hour... yes, if you could send an Avatar to handle things as an Angel of Muradin, the Overarching Deity of Earth and Nonith? Just to calm them all and sort them out? I have plans for them in the future, but for now I just need them calmed down. If any of them are psychiatrists, you might be best served recruiting them to help with that."
——————————————————————————
((( Message (Luxos): Yes, I'll send a few dozen of mine and Honey's Simulacrum to deal with it! Good job! The more Souls we save from the USS the more Pissy they get!!! Ha!!! )))
——————————————————————————
"Indeed, booping the noses of our enemies is a plus to any project!" I stepped back into the Vardo, sitting at my desk smoothly, and hummed softly when I realized my connection to the Dungeon was still there, though fainter. 'Apparently my range of connection extended slightly, or perhaps just now I have a connection to my own Realm with the Legendary Addition to my Mana and Health? That seems more likely.'
"Let me get this straight... you just reached Tier Three a moment ago, right?" Heron spoke up first, looking at a Notification Screen in front of her that held the System Message, a stripped down version of my own System Notification.
"Mmhmm." I nodded, sipping my tea once more and smiling at the steam rising from it. "Lovely tea, as always, Aron. I have some paperwork to do, so if we could get back to the road? And Honey, please assist Luxos immediately? She's going to struggle a bit with the influx of Souls she has to wrangle."
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): She really is; Souls are notoriously unreasonable. )))
——————————————————————————
((( Message (Luxos): I would love some help, yes; these Earthlings are beyond confused. )))
——————————————————————————
Honey nodded, bowing her head in my direction as she stood up and made her way into a silver portal. "I will be on my way, then; send me a message if you require my assistance, Lady Anitra."
"I will, good luck with the Souls; tell Luxos and Muradin they're free to make themselves comfortable, change things however they like, because the souls should be seeing whatever they expected to see after death, just with my little spin on it. Unless Luxos turned off that feature because she didn't quite understand my intent?"
——————————————————————————
((( Message (Luxos): ... Shush, you!!! )))
——————————————————————————
"Mmhmm, that'll make things a bit easier. And Muradin, make sure to tell the other Deities that they'll need to send an Avatar over to my Divine Realm if they want their Followers to be greeted by their own people instead of Muradin's? They'll probably be a little miffed if they worshipped Stone Eye their whole life and got into Muradin's Afterlife."
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): Fair enough. And it also gives you a portion of their Faith and Divinity. Sneaky little brat. )))
——————————————————————————
"Hey, all of the Net Profit goes to you, because I can't hold Divinity in my body, why are you complaining?!?"
——————————————————————————
((( Divine Message (Muradin): Mostly on Principal. I don't actually object to doing it, but the concept of tricking other Deities is mildly repellant to me. )))
——————————————————————————
"Just tell them the truth? Duh? Who asked you to lie?" I scoffed under my breath, shaking my head at the illogical being, and began drawing up a letter for my little brother Wyatt, to explain the situation to him and my nieces and nephews, as well as detailing my plans for a company that would take care of them while they lived on Earth; after their eventual passings, I could bring them over here permanently, in new bodies like Wayland's, starting them at Tier One like everyone else. For now, I needed them taken care of while my business stopped producing the money that they all relied on, and while Wyatt was a good assistant, he wouldn't be able to handle keeping the business afloat on his own for more than a few months, before my lack of Commission Income caught up to them.
——————————————————————————
((( Message (Luxos): Anitra? Do you know a Paladin named 'Avesta'? )))
——————————————————————————
I frowned at the question, looking at the screen carefully while I searched my memory. "Uhm... I think so? Paladin of Stone Eye, right?"
——————————————————————————
((( Message (Luxos): Yeah, he's here? And asking for you by name? )))
——————————————————————————
"Here... Where, Luxos?"
——————————————————————————
((( Message (Luxos): Your Divine Realm. He's Dead. )))
——————————————————————————
A golden portal opened up at my command, allowing me to March my way into a long Grand Hall, wherein a Throne was set at the back wall behind a few hundred different kiosks and information counters, long lines of see-through souls approaching each one and speaking unintelligibly with the Dungeon Merchants manning each booth. At the Throne, however, Luxos and Honey The Sweet stood next to a Soul that had a good deal more substance, with even his muscles and bones visible, which I decided was likely due to his Tier in Life. "Well there's my answer on why Demigods are immortal... Inquisitor Avesta, I regret your passing; can you inform me as to how this came about so I may perhaps either avenge you or revive you? If your body is still around and your brain is intact,-"
"My death was Stone Eye's Will, Champion Anitra; I do however wish you to save my apprentices, whom I sacrificed myself to secure the safety of. My method will only last for a few days, so I humbly request you show the Mercy of Muradin; even though we do not serve the same deity-"
"That doesn't matter to me, Avesta; gods are just old people with extra chutzpah behind them. Where are your apprentices?"
He blinked in shock at my casual dismissal of deities, but shook his head and focused on the question at hand quickly. "Right... have you ever been to the Great Barrier Reef, or the Kingdom of Letoni?"
