The air was thick and noxious, rank with the smell of ash and death.
An era had fallen. An era of men, as they called themselves. Beings of the earth, or so they claimed themselves, even as they desecrated their own home planet. It was time to bring balance to Humanity. To Earth - Terra.
Planet after planet. Soul after soul. Thanos, son of Alars; ruler of the galaxy, has traveled far and wide in search of the holy stones of Infinity. Embarking on a final journey to resurrect what is his, he claimed each Stone one by one: soul, reality, space, power, time, and lastly, mind stone. All within his gauntlet, their divine power brimming with luminescent colors, ushering their richest abilities to his veins.
"Finally." - the Mad Titan turned around, neglecting the greying body of a robot that now laid on the floor, dead. The power was in Thanos' hands, but of course, it didn't stop there. One by one, The Avengers marched onto attacking him - their rage is incessant.
The diverse group of mortals, with abilities mightier than the average Terran, stood their ground by fighting Thanos - avenging the death of their companions. But for Thanos it was nothing. Just mere nuisances, who called themselves 'Heros', kept launching at him, thinking that they could stop him. The Titan scoffed, he pitied them. The air had a rotten, dirty quality everywhere a person could think to go. Humanity could have been angels among the stars. Glorious people on a beautiful homeworld, yet instead they chose a product of greed, perhaps the deadliest sin of all.
With a fist and a swing, Thanos could easily knock the Avengers off their feet, The infinity stones doing the rest of the job for him. It was their end. And the beginning for a new peaceful universe, and anew life for the only person he cherished.
Just when Thanos rose his gauntlet to end it all - a lightning stroke from the sky, alerting everything on its way. Thor unleashed his Stormbreaker, aiming it straight onto the Titan. But the mighty lord didn't ignore it, he rose his gauntlet in anger to defend himself, to block the weapon - but the Stormbreaker bounced the power of the stones off of itself. Thus, Thor's axe pierced straight into Thanos.
Pain sears through the Titan's abdomen better than a branding iron, his mind conceding to the torment. The pain washed over him; it was exquisite and debilitating. The only thing stopping him from plummeting face down on the ground was the Stormbreaker itself.
"I told you." - Thor rushed to the Mad Titan, forcing him to glance at him in the eyes, "You'll die for that."
Of course, he was avenging his brother.
Mercilessly, Thor presses his Stormbreaker deeper into Thanos' guts making him roar in anguish. Dark violet liquid spilled from the giant axe, with a discreet, metallic scent. It cascaded across Thanos' tunic, leaving it marked on Thor's weapon. The monster deserved it, for every soul he took.
"You...Y-you," Thanos's throat gurgled as he struggled to breathe, slowly panting hard he looked up at the foolish Asgardian "You should've gone for the head."
Emitting all his willpower, Thanos snapped his fingers.
Blinding light.
With their raw energy embarked into one, the Infinity Stones fused into the light, bringing its wielder into a familiar dreamy realm. A luminous light of an empty land, with gentle waters, was all that surrounded Thanos. No gauntlet warped around his palm, no blood-spilling injuries - just him. Alone.
Thanos eased himself. He looked around: it must've worked. His purpose, his mission, his intentions - It must have! Just when his eyes observed his empty surrounding, Thanos spotted a gentle light. He rushed to it, his heart leaping and for the rarest times - he was apprehensive.
But with a faster pace, the small light started to gain form, thus, slowly merging into a small (your-weight) female. Thanos stared in awe, as the person he fought for and destroyed thousands of planets was finally standing in front of him.
"My Daughter."
"F a t h e r." - It was his little girl. (Y/n). "Thank you!"
Thanos' eyes watered in agony until his cheeks were waterlogged. After so many years of torment and sorrow - he finally got his little girl back. He watched her figure stand still, slowly gaining balance. The sweet child looked as if she was always this alive, this innocent - just like Thanos always remembered. He waited for (Y/n) to slowly open her (eye-color) eyes, to finally meet his gaze, but instead of two eyelids opening...
Six ones opened. Revealing six eyeballs on (Y/n)'s flawless face - each in color of the Infinity Stone respectively.
"My Daughter." - Thanos breathed. It's been so long, but he succeeded. His whole mission of retrieving the stones just to see the face of his little girl once more was finally completed. She looked as if wasn't even dead all these decades.
"Father! You retrieved them." - (Y/n) smiled, her six eyes of infinity stones piercing right through him. But it was the same, loving smile.
"I did, little one," - Thanos shook his head, his lips twitching. "I did."
"You sacrificed a lot."
The young child tilted her head, her six eyes unblinking nor is her smile changing. (Y/n) was no longer dead - she's alive, the universe brimming within her eyes and her form is luminous. That's all Thanos wanted, no matter the cost to pay - his little (hair-color) Terran Darling was back.
"It's time to go home."
As more lights invaded the Titan's vision, he was back to the mortal realm on Earth. The Stormbreaker still plunged in his abdomen, blood still spilling, but the gauntlet... it was worn out. The Infinity Stones are gone from it.
Stagnant silence filled Earth.
"What did you?" - Thor backed away slightly, confused yet sensing the dread within the air. The God of thunder just saw a flash of light for mere seconds before an omniscient atmosphere filled him and suddenly - the Mad Titan had a broken gauntlet. "What DID YOU DO?!"
But Thanos didn't bother to respond, he knew very well what happened. With no words being said, the Titan flicked his gauntlet one last time before teleporting away from Earth, leaving the Stormbreaker to fall on the ground with his blood spilled on it.
No one knew where the Mad Titan escaped to.
But away in the vast wasteland of Planet Titan, where seemingly no one lived for eons, a certain land was filled with vegetation and thrived with life. It was a timeless heaven. An orange-hued sunset warped the sky with a sheepish tranquility, the air fresh and clear.
Thanos lumped, stamping his feet for a few seconds, and then trying to uphold his massive body down to the front porch.
Halfway threw back, still thumping, The massive Titan felt a small soft hand grip around his palm. In which Thanos was gladly met with (Y/n)'s unchanging smile. Her smaller figure warmly warped around him. They both walked to the front view, and finally, Thanos threw himself to sit. He breathed in, seeing (Y/n) standing by his side, her six eyes observing the heavenly sunset in front of them.
He and his Daughter were now home.
