"Hmm.... nope. Nu-uh. Not this one either..." Emma mumbled as she picked and compared the different kimono she had, along with the ones you brought her that you owned. "Agh! There's gotta be one that brings out her beauty perfectly!"

"Ughhh... Emma! Just pick one and put it on her! We still have to go to the Shrine!!" Mikey complained, rolling on the ground in annoyance. He rolled over Draken who was quietly reading a magazine and began to pull on his sleeve "Draken!! Do something!!"

"You're just impatient." Draken sighed, placing down the magazine on the ground before turning to Emma, "And Emma, just pick one."

"I can't just pick one!" Emma exclaimed, placing another kimono in your arms as it was 'acceptable'. "I have to make sure that (Y/N) looks the best, especially today. Who knows, someone else might get interested in her other than that shitty guy!"

"....That... shitty guy?" The two boys raised a brow, looking at each other with confused yet suspicious faces. But before they could even ask what her words mean, they were already thrown out by Emma. "...Who's that???"

They wanted to ask who it was, curious as to how 'interest in another guy' and '(Y/N)' came to be in the same sentence that wasn't a question. Like... the last time that was asked, you had the most empty face ever.

You just weren't interested in dating. So... How come it sounded like you were interested in someone just now?

"Tadaa!!" Emma presented as you walked out of her room, all dressed up in a kimono she herself picked. The two boys just clapped out of boredom, smiling as they just wanted this to be done and over with. "So? What do you think?"

"Yes. Very nice." They nodded, their buts numb from sitting on the ground for twenty minutes. "So, shall we head out?"

You all nodded and left the house to go to the shrine for the new year and make a wish. You were all gonna go by bike since one, you had no plans to walk in the cold, and two, you and Mikey had plans.

You got on your bike, Mikey riding with you while Emma rode with Draken. You and Mikey gave each other a sneaky smile while smirking at Emma who was blushing badly. But Draken was still as dense as a rock.

"Hey, hey, (Y/N)-chan, buy me takoyaki, 'kay?" He asked from behind you, resting his head on your shoulder to make himself look cute. "Pleaseeee!"

In the past, you would've said yes without hesitation, but for now, you felt like teasing the boy by pretending not to hear anything. He pouted, and you knew that he'd do anything to get that takoyaki.

"(Y/N)???" He grumbled, giving you a small glare. "(Y/N)." Still no reply. "(Y/N)!!"

"Ow-!!" You flinched, surprised by his choice of suddenly screaming in your ear. But your reaction seems to have made him happy, his smile basically radiating. You sighed, shaking your head in disappointment in yourself. You really can't say no to these idiots. "Alright, fine! But I get to have something in turn!"

"Fine."

"....Mikey..." The light in your eyes slowly dimmed, glancing at the cold road ahead. Your smile remained, yet there was no emotion in them. "...Get rid of them for me."

"You got a gang you don't like? We can do it as our gang's first fight of the new year!"

"You know who I'm talking about, Mikey. Don't try to outwit me by changing my attention."

"...Hmm... I see..." The boy sighed with a smile, looking down on the ground. "I'm talking to Kashi right now."

You four arrived at the shrine packed with people all around. Well, it was to be expected, it is the new year. While walking with them, you could hear familiar voices and even see familiar faces. A few gang members were here as well.

"Emma," You whispered to the girl, taking her arm and making her stop. "I'm gonna be leaving in a bit."

"Hm? Why?"

"I'm going to meet up with my boyfriend for a date later." You answered before nodding off to the two guys you two were with. "I don't think they'll like it and won't let me go if they realize."

Emma puffs out her cheeks with a frown. She didn't like your boyfriend one bit, and it was understandable. She wanted to spend the first day of the new year with you and the others, so she was really reconsidering this.

But she knew you. And you weren't an idiot. She can clearly see just how much distaste you had with your boyfriend, you still continued to be with him. Clearly, there was a reason, and that reason was something concerning them.

"...Alright..." She whispered in defeat and gave you a pained smile. "I'll help you out."

"Oiii!! Emma! (Y/N)!!" Draken called out from a distance. He and Mikey had gone quite a long way while you and Emma were talking. It took them quite a while to realize that you two stopped. "Let's go! The place's gonna be packing later on!"

You and Emma jog over to them. And once you were all together, you could hear a familiar set of footsteps running over to you, followed by a few voices.

"WAIT FOR ME!! MY EMAAAA!!" Takemichi's scream was loud as he chased the wooden tile that kept on running away. "Huh?"

"Your Emma?" Emma asked with a sour tone, making the two boys turn to look. "What do you mean your Emma?"

You looked down on the ground and saw the wooden tile, Takemichi's wishes written on them. You couldn't help but try and oppress the smile that was slowly forming. It was so cute yet so childish, and that was coming from a 27 year old man from the future.

"You mean this?" You stomped on the tile, making it flick upwards to your hand, holding it to the boy. The face on your face was that of a teasing smirk and Takemichi knew you read his wish. You chuckled and leaned over to whisper, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

Mikey and Draken narrowed their eyes at the boy, giving him a death glare. He got spooked and backed off, bumping into Chifuyu, making the two tumble back.

"Oh, everyone's here!" Mikey exclaimed, surprised to see most of the Toman leaders here in the shrine. "Looks like everyone's here to celebrate."

While the others were greeting each other, you just went next to Draken, clinging to his sleeve while silencing yourself. Only a few of them know of your identity, you would rather not say anything to the twins, the Shiba siblings, and Peyan. Especially Mucho. You would rather keep your mouth shut rather than say something that might out you.

"(Y/N)." Emma whispered, meaning over to you with a nervous smile. "You're glaring at Mucho."

"Oh. My bad." You weren't. The guy was looking at you with a confused stare, but you just quietly rolled your eyes. But still showed your distaste for him. "The countdown's going to start."

The others raised a brow, wondering how the hell you would've known that cause you didn't look at your watch or the time. Even the ones you went with here were wondering how you knew that.

And before they could ask anything, everyone began to count down, completely roping in the others with them.

"5!"

It'll be a new year.

"4!"

Hopefully, the year that all of this shit is going to end. [*the next arc* surprise shawty!]

"3!"

Hopefully, everyone gets their happy ending.

"2!"

Hopefully, you get to kill that bastard with your own hands. [*me, knowing the next arc, i think* surprise shawty!!]

"1!! Happy new year!!"

Everyone gathered together and took a big leap, Takemichi letting go of his ema once again.

A new year... A new problem. [HAH]

As everyone was socializing, talking about eating together for their first meal of the year, you had quietly slipped away with Emma covering for you and distracting them. But it seems that someone has been way too observant.

"(Y/N), it's past midnight. Where are you going?"

"Ah, Draken." You turned around and faced your big brother, giving him an innocent smile. "I'm gonna go crash home first. You guys can go eat ramen without me." 

"...You're the doing the thing." he said, tilting his head with a frown. You hummed in confusion, wondering what he might be talking about. "You slip away silently to do something by yourself. And when you're caught you always play it off with a smile." 

"Hmm... I don't remember ever doing that." That was a lie. You know you've been doing that. You're aware of your own little habits. But it's not like you can stop it. If you could, you would.

"(Y/N), I've known you for nearly ten years. Don't try to hide things from me." 

"....Alright... you win..." YOu sighed, a bit disappointed that you can't even go through this little thing without getting caught. And you thought that you got better at sneaking, but it seems that Draken's big bro senses were a lot stronger. "You see, I'm going on a date!" 

"Ah.. A date- DATE?!" 

"Don't worry too much, Draken." You chuckled, twirling the keys in your hand. "I'll be done and over with him after this."

The cold wind of the new year blew past the two guys as they walked down the street, making their way back to their homes. Hanma was the only one doing the talking while Kisaki was just quietly walking, thinking of plans to do and all of that stuff.

But his train of thought was cut off when a motorcycle suddenly rushed past him, his own life seemingly flashing before his eyes.

"HEY!!" He snapped his head towards the culprit and saw a familiar motorcycle struggling to stop the vehicle. "WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!!" 

"Ahaha!! Sorry, sorry! Don't get your panties on a twist!" You laughed with a slightly teasing tone on your voice as if you hadn't actually intentionally tried to run him over. You made your way back to them, but this time, a lot calmer. "Sorry about that, Kisaki. I'm still not used to using a motorcycle. My brother's a real dolt when it comes to teaching." [y/n out for blood💀]

"Yo!! Nice for you to join the party, babe!" Hanma chuckled, amazed by your stunt of nearly running over his co-worker, Kisaki just sneered at him. But he ignored him and got on the back. "Sorry boss, I'm booked for the rest of the night."

"Tch. You should've informed me of these matters beforehand." Kisaki complained. "You better not be late for the meeting tomorrow."

"I won't."

"See ya later, megane!!" You gave the boy a wink as you drove off. "So, any news while we were away??"

"Well... we did mess around with the Shiba sibs." He began to tell the story of the Black Dragon problem. You already knew about it because, duh, you're you. You just nodded and gave him a few comments that fitted your profile. "Also, when did you start learning how to ride a bike?"

"When we were at our grandparent's place." You lied through your teeth. If you had a penny for every time you lied in front of this guy's face, you'd have enough to last Mikey a lifetime supply of dorayaki. "I've been trying to reconnect with my brother."

You had made an excuse that you and your brother, Kashi, were fighting when you first met, that was why you had approached him to gain some info about your 'secretive brother' to tell on your parents. That is why, right now, you were 'reconciling' with him. 

It was a story you made in the fly when they got integrated into Toman, so you prepared that lie that moment you told them you, as Hifumi (Y/N), and Kashi are siblings. 

"Hmm.. sounds like you could use our help. We could fix up your shitty relationship with your brother, just look at the Shiba siblings!"

"No thanks."

"Good night, or good morning. Whatever the time is." Hanma said as you dropped him off of his house. "So, wanna go to the arcade tomorrow? Or this afternoon?"

"Can't." You answered. "You guys have a meeting this afternoon."

"Boringgggggg."

"Hmm... maybe it might not be so boring." You smirked, leaning over to your boyfriend. "Something fun might happen~"

"Hmm... I'll take your word for it." He leaned down, giving you a peck on your lips. It took everything in you to not slam his face on the ground. Thank god he wasn't your first kiss. "See ya later." [K1?]

"...Maybe..." You got back to your motorcycle, waving goodbye before leaving. And once you were in a faraway distance, you let your face drop. "Something fun really will happen." You reached for the flowers in your hair accessories, pressing a button to turn off the recorder. "It'll be a fun afternoon... I'm gonna watch in satisfaction as Mikey personally kicks you out of our Toman."

Also, just wanted to let ya know that i'm working on another TR story but with (Y/N) being some kind of being with magical powers. Also that Tom Riddle story.
