Still A Part Of My Life

One uneventful week passed with no major events and today marked as another work day for Sakura. But she had business in another country, or that's what she said.

"Hey guys, I'm off. Remember, mommy can't take care of you all the way from the States." she directed the comment to Ota, who pouted as Baba laughed at the teasing.

"But seriously though, I have a flight to catch. My private jet's on a schedule today. Eisuke, can I still use it?" the hacker turns to the CEO who nods.

"Wait, the what?" Baba and Ota ask in unison, confused. "Oh, since I'm tight on the schedule right now, I need to use his chopper to get to the airport in hopefully 10 minutes."

"You leave right now?" "If I want to keep my job."

"Seriously though, I'll be gone for the next two weeks. Please tell the maids not to go in my room. I'm doing some research right now and there are drugs and chemicals in there that are still unknown, that means I don't know how the human body reacts to it. They could die."

"Alright, I'll tell Kenzaki to warn the maids." "Thanks, Ichinomiya." she grins, hugging the CEO for a brief moment.

"If you need anything from my room, which you won't, but just in case, there's a small backpack by the entrance with two lab coats, two goggles and gloves. If you wish to enter, two at a time can go but don't drop or break anything. Or I will break you."

"Baba, Ota, understood?" she wasn't much concerned for the others but Ota and Baba, who had wide smirks on their faces. She knew the were up to something.

"And just so you know, you can't look through my belongings and clothes as I had locked them up in my closet with a padlock, keys are with me." she beams arrogantly, lifting a pair of keys.

"Damn... She knows us."

"But anyway, I'm off. I'll see you guys in two weeks." without anymore words, she hurries into the elevators, which close behind her as she stares out to the glass portion of it, out to the vast city.

The trip was going smoothly with no accidents of a such. Well, that was until an engine failed.

"Ma'am!" her personal flight attendant, Aika, was slightly panicking as she ran up to him. There was a small turbulence, but it turned out to be something much more. "It looks like one of the engine's failed, ma'am! The plane's going down!"

"What?! Any nearby islands or any sort of land at the very least?" "No! It doesn't seem that way..."

"...Alright... Aika, there is one free call, right?"

"Yes... But it's in the back! The safest place right now is up front, especially with all the-"

"No... There's only spots for three right?" "Yes..." "And we have you and only the two co-pilots?"

Sakura lead her to the cabin-like room as the attendant nodded. "Then one of us has to stay..." Sakura mutters quietly.

"Yes! Sam is staying behind!" "No, he's not." "H-Huh...? Pardon? Is it me or Ed?"

"If anyone's staying behind... It's going to be me. You deserve to live much more than I do."

"W-Wait! Ma'am!" Sakura smiles, despite the plane hurtling to it's doom. Sam, a pilot of hers, was despite his choice, cowering.

"Sam, you're going home." Sakura orders. "What?! Is Ed or Aika staying behind...?" he seemed hopeful, but worried.

"None of you are going. I am." she shoves Aika and Sam in with Ed inside the small cabin. "W-Wait! Ma'am!" they call in unison, a few tears evident in their eyes.

"It's Sakura. It's been great working with you, guys." she smiles gently and slams the door shut, despite their screams and shouts, begging for her to get in. "Tell Eisuke, Soryu and the rest of the group they're going to need a new hacker." she shouts to the other side, managing a laugh.

Locking them inside from the outside to keep them safe she hurries to the back, but it was too late...

The plane plunges into the ocean and with tremendous force of the waves and the air pressure change causes her to fly back and as the plane lands on the bottom, the strong force forces her up, hitting the roof, knocking her out instantly.

That night, Eisuke was going to contact Sakura, concerning the auctions, and to check up on her trip. He knew she wouldn't miss his call, let along be late for anything. Right now, she should be in her car.

The phone rings, but nobody picks up as it goes straight to voicemail.

"What the heck..."

"Hey, Boss! You need to see Sakura's room! It's so... sciency." Ota and Baba cheer as they walk into the room wearing lab coats, goggles and gloves. But their excited moods deserted when they saw his sullen look.

"What's up, Eisuke?" Ota was the first to approach the topic, to which the CEO answered to. "Sakura. Maybe she was just busy or behind schedule but she's not answering..."

"We don't know that... Maybe she is. how about we just check in tomorrow? Ota and I were going to the casino downstairs?" Baba offers, placing his lab coat, goggles and gloves into a backpack, followed by Ota.

"Alright. I need something to clear my mind." the brunette sighs and glances at his blank phone screen one more time before walking into the elevator.

"There's definitely something wrong." Eisuke announces as he storms into the lounge. The bidders all look at him curiously. "Sakura's been in some sort of accident. She hasn't been picking up, and neither has her boss seen her yesterday when they were supposed to meet."

"We don't know that boss, maybe she just got confused and tired yesterday," Baba tries to defend Sakura. "But she-"

"The kid's in trouble!"

Mamoru suddenly follows Eisuke, bursting inside with some pictures in hand. "Okay, this is new. Mamoru's worried. This is important."

Baba tried to lighten up the mood with a small joke but it seems poking Mamo and Eisuke at the moment was not a good idea.

"Sumiko's plane crashed yesterday! One of the engine's failed and it crashed, but a chopper saw three survivors by the plane." he explained, chucking photos at them.

But Sakura wasn't in any of them.

"Please tell me she made it." Eisuke asks, raising a brow.

"Three survivors, the fourth one was crushed under the plane and's unstable right now. The three survivors were the two pilots and the one attendant..."

"Wait... did they lock her out?!" "No... They said there were spots for three and that Sakura told them to stay inside." "She what?!"

"Eisuke, you should know her by now." Soryu remarks from the side with an empty expression.

"And how do you know that?! When you don't even remember her?!" the man panics, obviously concerned for Sakura's safety.

"She was my classmate and first love. She's still a big part of my life."
