After This

Time's ticking and her execution is tomorrow night, with again, the bidders and the Foxes unaware, except for Hiro at least. Yuki didn't come today, and Sakura was in her cell, patiently waiting for breakfast. She awoke way too early right now, since breakfast was at 7:00 and she had to wait since 5:20.

She was hungry, but she probably wasn't going to eat anything more than a bite since it wasn't her usual pills. It was 6:30, only 30 more minutes.

And it was quick, as soon, a guard came to get her so they could lead her to the cafeteria.

Everything went by in a blur and before she knew it, it's already early evening, the sun beginning to set slowly. Sakura was given time outside, just like the rest of the prisoners.

Like usual, she sat off in an isolated corner, watching the rest go about their business. Time passed quickly once more with nothing eventful happening. And soon, the sun was almost completely gone, the moon appearing in the sky.

And within a few minutes, all the prisoners were brought back to their cells and Sakura stood by her cell window, looking through the bars to the scenery outside.

And for a moment, as she stared at the moon above and the plains outside, it felt as if everything was normal. As if she weren't a prisoner.

As if the Foxes and bidders never had to rush to plan her escape.

As if she never lied to them in the first place.

Laying in bed that night, Sakura prepared herself for tomorrow's events, trying once more, to convince herself that moving the date was the right choice.

And she still wondered if Hiro kept her secret.

But everytime she managed to convince herself that she made the right choice, her guilt washed in again when Eisuke's face, the bidders' and the Foxes' face pop into her mind. And it didn't stop the pain of guilt whenever Soryu snuck into her thoughts.

Wrapping her arms around herself, she let out a sigh as she thought about everything up to this point. She just didn't understand, no matter which strategy or angle she used, she couldn't understand why everything was so...

Chaotic.

"So, Ed... You said that her execution was tomorrow, correct?" the blonde grinned from behind her mask as she giggled at the thought of her long time rival gone.

With Sakura gone, she would have Soryu and Eisuke all to herself. And maybe be able to take over Tres Spades if she played her cards right.

"That's right, ma'am... I made sure..." he mutters, feeling absolutely horrible. "Beautiful. Here's your friends back. And sorry, I think I might have broken something." she laughed before her men pushed Aika and Sam out as she saunters away, still cackling.

Aika and Sam were cut and bruised, a few bleeding cuts but otherwise, fine.

"Aika! Sam!" he falls to his knees beside them, hugging both. "Are you guys okay?"

"Other than a few cuts and bruises..." Sam coughs, "I think we'll be fine."

"Okay... Let's get this treated, we need to get you patched up before I go talk to someone. I think they'll be able to stop everything..." he mutters as they exit the warehouse.

The sun rose the next morning and today was Sakura's execution day. She only had about a few hours before the execution. Sakura thought she was safe but...

Hiro can't take it anymore, and he was going to crack with the secret. But what didn't help was that Ed was coming with Aika and Sam later to announce the secret that the young Fox has been desperately hiding.

Everyone in the prison knew about Sakura, and her execution. And the entire day around, she could feel eyes on her, fingers being pointed as people spoke about her.

Time passed quickly, much like yesterday, and Sakura was becoming more and more regretful of her choice as her mind was constantly occupied of the bidders and Foxes. And her team back in Paris.

Her team knew nothing about her execution, at least not of what Sakura has heard of from Rin before she stopped attending the plan meetings.

Back at Tres Spades, which was where they held their meeting today, Hiro was fidgeting in his seat, and everyone kept staring at him suspiciously. Well, until a knock came from the door.

Eisuke expected Kenzaki to come in, but instead three familiar people came in. It was Sakura's pilots and hostess for her private jet.

"Ed? What are you guys doing here?" Ota asks as they walk over to the group. The Foxes already knew about them, as discussed earlier by the bidders.

"We have some news... But you're not going to take this lightly, and by the time you'll have everything together... We'll probably be too late."

"Well you babblin' like that doesn't save us anymore time, kid." Mamoru says, putting out his cigarette.

"Um... Just sit down," Ed says to Eisuke, who stares at him suspiciously, but actually follows his instructions.

Then Aika spoke up. "Sakura... Her execution day has been moved for today..."

Everyone's eyes go wide, but Hiro's were downcast and looking towards the floor as Riki turns towards him with a glare. But what made him angrier was Sam's next words.

"It's tonight. In 3 hours actually..." he mutters, fixing his jacket.

Then Riki storms towards Hiro, grabbing the man's collar. "You knew about this didn't you?!" he growls, glaring at the ginger's almost golden eyes with his own sharp eyes.

The Fox didn't reply but except looked away, nodding. Riki was about to punch the boy, but he only clenches his fest before letting go of the boy after he felt Takuto's hand on his shoulder.

Eisuke and Soryu were quiet, both trying to form plans into heir own minds before Eisuke lifted his head.

"My group into the chopper. Yanase, take your group and follow us."

They literally had no plan, and it was only 30 minutes before her execution.

They managed to sneak into the place after a thankfully quick disguise thrown on from Ota and Hiro, who were ready for a situation like this surprisingly.

Not much of a change except for some contouring and eye contact changes to avoid looking to similar.

They enter the execution chamber and found Sakura already standing on a stage-like platform.

They could see a man, probably the executioner, filling a gun with a few bullets, making sure it was ready. There was some kind of blindfold over Sakura's eyes and handcuffs around her wrist.

The girl could feel movement around her and eyes on her as she kept her head hung low, her vision entirely black from the blindfold.

But that didn't stop her mind from playing multiple pictures of memories in front of her, making her bite her lip and fight back again, saying this was the best choice and route.

This is the best choice. After this, I won't be able to hurt anyone anymore.
