Modern (AU) Part 2

Black Order Academy

Siba got her laptop back thanks to the help of Lavi, the guy she was talking to for three and a half months and such, but wasn't saved from the questions of her dear and loved classmates.

"Allen!! Allen!! Chill.. He's a good guy!!" Siba said as she was trying to protect Lavi from a very angry Allen.

"How can you be so sure?!!!! What if he ends up like that teacher?!!!" Siba shudder at Allen's mention of Ex-Professor Johnny, and it seemed to tick Lavi off watching her shudder for he instantly got in front of her and held a protective stance saying, "I would appreciate it, if that name wasn't mentioned today. Especially on my first day here."

Allen blink a few times as he thought 'This dude is strange.. But Siba was happy when she talked to him..' He sighs in defeat and says, "You hurt her man and I hurt you 10xs over, you got me!" Lavi smiles nervously and nodd his head vigorously from behind Siba as she looks at him from the front and shakes her head in a playful way earning a goofy smile from Lavi.

~Time Skip~

It was now the end of school and Siba happens to walk down the school campus sidewalk when all of a sudden her vison goes dark.

'Oh no. Not again!'

She grabs the hands and was stopped by someone whispering "Easy Kitten. Its me~." Siba let out a sigh in relief and wrapped her arms around Lavi's neck behind her.

"You do realize I could've Mercenary slammed you to the ground, right??" Siba asked, more like stated, as Lavi smiles and says, "Yeah I know, but I could help myself. I mean my beautiful Kitten walking home looking as gorgeous as ever~." Siba blushed and actually thanked the heaven that Lavi was behind her.

"I believe miss Mercer Lee has somewhere to be Lavi."

Lavi grunts and turns his head to Bookman and glared while taking his hands off Siba's eyes.

She turns and blinks a few times before Bookman walks up to her saying, "Please forgive my Dunderhead grandson, he should really learn his manners.." "Can it you Old Coot." Lavi said as he glared at Bookman, making Siba laugh slightly, catching both of there attentions, saying, "I wondered if there was a relation between you two. Guess my hunches do hit the mark~." She sang as she turned slightly from the two Bookmen, as Bookman's eyes widen in realization and said, "Miss Mercer Lee??" Siba stopped, still facing the same way, and gave a "hmmm" Sound. "Is it true Mercenaries have long term memories and they can't forget anything from their past experiences?"

Lavi was curious, for Siba never mentioned her past and only told him that she, herself, was part of the Mercenary Clan, but after he saw her shudder he was beginning to worry.

He was about to ask when Siba speaks up saying, "Yes, it's true Mister Bookman..." Bookman was about to complement her for that but she chimed in saying, "However, it seriously sucks being the only one to remember everything. There's nothing good of it." She mumbled that last part, but not enough for Lavi and Bookman.

"Forgive me miss Mercer Lee..." Lavi was soft eyed at the way Siba looked, for it was upsetting him.

Siba felt the vibes they were giving off and sighed and literally smacked her face with both hands, causing both Bookmen to jump, and turned to them saying, "Don't worry about it. The past is the past, and I'm focusing on the now~!"

She smiled causing Bookman to smile and Lavi to have an wide eye.

'Whoa. She totally is a Strike!!! I seriously scored on this one~!!'

"Hey, speaking of the now...." Lavi and Bookman looked towards Siba. "Do you guys even have a place to stay??" That caused both of them to have wide eyes as Bookman says, "Yes we do miss Mercer Lee. Why do you ask??" Lavi started to sweat drop cause he had forgotten to tell Bookman that Mercenaries and Bookmen are similar but not identical, as Siba walked up to Bookman's ear and whispers, "I thought Bookman don't settle until they find a reason??" Bookman had wide eyes as Lavi slowly inched away, only to get kicked by Bookman saying, "You idiot you squealed!!" "I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING YOU OLD COOT!!!" Lavi blasted back but Bookman grabbed his shirt and said, "Because of what you told her we're leaving." Lavi blinked in shocked as he looked at Siba, who looked oddly innocent, and said, "Lavi? Did you not tell him??" Lavi sweat drops more, do to the fact that Bookman stopped, and said, "N-No. I haven't... I was..." 'Come on Lavi Think!!!! Oooooo~ got it~!' "I was waiting to see you~." He gave her a goofy smile in hope she would buy it, when he looked up to her she had a smile that said oh really and a quirked eyebrow as she got up and walked towards them saying, "You forgot, didn't you?" He nods his head as Siba laughs and Bookman quirks a brow.

Siba's laugh dies down as she looks up to Bookman and says, "Reason why I know is because Mercenaries and Bookman are similar in ideals and training, they're not identical per say, but they are remotely similar." Bookman's eyes were wide as he looked down to Lavi.

"How long have you known??" Lavi had a thinking face on and said, "It was the last thing she sent me before my phone died on the plane... Speak of which..." He turns to Siba. "You wouldn't happen to have a spare changer would you??"

Siba thought for a moment and said, "Yeah I got a few, what brand??" "An AT&T J3 Mobile~." "I think my charger would fit.." "What brand??" "Samsung Galax J3." Lavi made an oooo sound as Bookman sighes and says, "Lavi we must go. We have a place to find." Lavi pouts as Siba says, "Well, how 'bout my dorm??" They both look at her. "My original roommate and her grandmother left a little over a month ago, and my dorm is pretty big. You can have their rooms till you find a place."

They both blink as Bookman says, "We wouldn't want to be a bother. Lavi here is messy.." "Can It!!!" "Oh I'm aware..." They both look at Siba. "I over heard you yelling at Lavi for being messy over the phone hehe~." They both blush, do to the wonder of how they forgot that as Siba walks pass them saying, "But hey! For Bookman small details aren't important correct?" Bookman smiles and says, "Correct, and for Mercenaries all details of life are of value." "Yeeup~ so follow me gentlemen."

Lavi smiles and got up and followed behind Bookman and Siba, who's under his arm.

~Time Skip~

The three wonder around until they finally stopped at the road, causing Lavi and Bookman to blink confused.

"Why'd you stop Kitten~?" "I must second that question miss Mercer Lee." Siba smirks and says, "We're gonna have a little fun on the way~." They both blink a few times as they then saw Siba reach for a tarp revealing a motorcycle.

Lavi's eye widen as he runs up to Siba saying, "Whoaoh! I didn't know you ride Kitten?~" Siba laughs at Lavi hugging her motorcycle as Bookman walks up and says, "I thought Mercenaries settled?" Siba giggles with a confident smile and says, "Not if you're the blessed and....." She then reaches in her bra, making Lavi turn pink, and pulls out a license. "Know how to drive the monster I've made~."

Bookman and Lavi stared at her with wide eyes as Lavi shouts, "You Made This??!" She smiles and says, "Yep~! Don't believe m--" "Let me drive!!!" Siba blinked a few times before saying, "Let you drive?!" He nods as Bookman comes up and says, "It will be good practice for Lavi--" "Whoa hold on. He's 18 and doesn't have an license!" Lavi shakes his head and says, "No I can drive. But I've never drove an motorcycle!!" Siba's eyes widen as she then smiles and reaches into her back pocket and says, "Catch." He looks up and immediately catches the object and his eye widens and immediately looks to Siba.

"You scratch it, you fix it for you'll be driving handicap." Siba states as Lavi nods but Bookman was confused as Siba says, "For you'll be having a Elderly person and a 18 year old girl, who made this hot-ride riding with you." He nods as he watched Siba go to a garage of sorts and add a cargo passenger side car. "Miss Mercer Lee, what's the safest?" Siba blinks a few times before pointing to the cargo car and saying, "If we crash, you'll more than likely land on me and Lavi." He nods and gets in as Siba locks up the garage, tightly, and gets on the bike behind Lavi and he waisted no time in revving it up and drove off.

Siba yells and clung to Lavi's shirt but realize that they haven't crashed yet.

"You dummy!! You said you'd never drove a motorcycle!" She playfully punches his arm at a red light as he laughs and says, "The best surprises come by doing, not saying Kitten." "I know that!!" He laughs again as the light turns green and they start moving again.

"Which way?" Lavi asks as Siba looks over his shoulder and sees the sign to her dorm. "Right!" She yells as Lavi nodded and made the turn and came to a big building.

"Whoa." Lavi said as Siba smiles and gets off the bike and stands in front of the building saying, "Bookman, Lavi, welcome to the Dual-Credit Dorms. Now if you follow me, I'll take to my dorm room." They both nodded and follows Siba to the room, where their expectations were literally thrown out the window.

"THIS PLACE IS HUGE!" Siba laughs at Lavi's statement as she watches both him and Bookman look around, okay more Lavi than Bookman, as Siba wanders to Bookman.

"You have many books miss Mercer Lee. May I ask why?" Siba shakes her head, as Lavi peers his head through curious, and says, "I do not mind. You see most of these books belong to my roomate. She and her grandmother were Keepers." Bookman and Lavi were wide eyed as Bookman asks, "What was their motive miss Mercer Lee?" Siba gave a hmmm sound and says, "Nothing really, they were actually similar to Mercenaries and Bookman, except one thing.." "And what's that Kitten??" Lavi asks intrigued by the Keepers.

"They travel the world like Bookman do, except they save the memories of the deceased." That widen their eyes as Lavi said, "Didn't realize Ryo was here..."

'Huh??'

"Indeed. Perhaps coming to late was a bad idea..."

"Hold on what are you guys talking about?? Ryonia and Keeper were really calm. Ryo and Komui even started dating~." That caught their attentions as Lavi says, "For Real?!!" Siba laughs as her phone rang.

She answers it, while Lavi and Bookman where having their own chat, and literally hears a voice that caused her to shake.

"T-Train..." The phone hangs up and she's left mortified, going notice by Lavi as he sees her starting to fall to the ground.

"SIBA!!!!!!"
