Mama, I miss you.
I hardly get to see you.
Even home don't see you like often.
You work day and night.
Sometimes overtime.

You're missing my life.
I am getting older as time goes by.
Before you know it I would be no longer a child.

You be tired all the time.
But still you get up and grind.
You have no time to even see if your shadow's alive.

But as bad as I want you around I understand why you're not.
Why you slave day after day.
The pain you go through.

Being a single parent is not an easy thing.
But you do your all to put that smile on my face.
Make sure I have somewhere safe to stay.
Keep my belly full and have cloths to wear.

I pray that one day you don't have to work so hard just to make me happy.
