A year ago, I started this book. Armed with a plot outline, a bittersweet ending in mind, I set out to write something unconventional. A grey character who loved someone so firmly set in the light, and committing sins in the name of her love.

It has left a massive impact on me, far more that I'd ever expected. I discovered how much effort writing a novel takes, and learned more about my writing in the process. 

And now it's complete. I could not have done this without the support of all of you guys.

A special mention I could never get away without mentioning:

krsnaradhika: you are the light of my life; my heaven, my home. Without you, this book would never have come to fruition. You've stood by my side through every step, and I can never thank you enough for all that you are to me.

And to all my other readers, who have been so enthusiastic from the start, to those who found this book in the middle and have supported me ever since: I'd never have been able to complete this book without your support.

I do have some vague plans of exploring other characters set in this verse. The story of Madhuraa and Kanha, for one, and maybe Satyaki and Kritavarma too. Maybe one day I'll even write something on Iltani and Lila set in their younger years.

And I promise, Lila does get her happy ending.

There is an epilogue after this author's note, and it is nothing but fluffy goodness, I promise. If you would like to have a poignant ending, I'd suggest not reading the epilogue. If you'd like to heal your heart from the angst of the last chapter, that's exactly what the epilogue's for!
