Breakup and Brawl
Narrator's POV
Steven and Connie seemed like the perfect couple. They stayed in contact with each other, both of their families approved of the relationship and most of all, they loved each other dearly.
However, lately Connie has been acting strange around Steven and he's noticed. She won't kiss him before he goes out on a mission, she doesn't call him as much and whenever he asks why, she always says the same thing:
"It's just some stupid shit. Nothing to worry about."
Well, one day, Steven decides to go over to her house. He brings some flowers with him.
On the way there, he runs into his friend Lars, who was chilling against the wall of the Big Donut outside.
"Yo, Steven. What's up, dude? Going to see Connie?" The Pink Boy asked.
"Yeah. She hasn't been herself lately. So, I'm gonna go see her since the Gems don't have a mission today." He replied.
"Alright. I should do that for Sadie. She's been pissed lately. I wonder if it's that time of the month?" Lars asked.
Steven shook his head. "While you figure that out, I'm gonna head off. We'll talk later, Lars." He said as he left.
A while later, Steven arrived at Connie's house.
He knocked on the door, but then discovered it was open already.
"Connie? You home?" Steven called to his girlfriend.
Suddenly, he heard noises from upstairs.
"Huh. Wonder what that is?" He asked as he went to check it out.
When he got to Connie's room, his heart sank at what he saw....Connie was in bed with another guy!
Steven burst into the room. "Connie?!? What the hell are you doing?!? Who the fuck is this?!?
Connie glared at Steven. "Look. You are always on missions with the Gems. You never have time for me! Jeff was here when you weren't! I don't love you anymore!"
Steven went from heartbroken to royally pissed. How could this bitch do this to him?!? After all he did for her?!?
"Yeah. So get lost before I kick your ass, freak." Jeff commented.
Steven wasn't leaving that easily. Maybe a few years ago, he would have walked away, but he's been through too much to put up with this asshole.
Steven glared at Jeff and Connie. "Why don't you make me, pussy? I'll break your other arm and shove it up your ass." Steven threatened as his eyes glowed a scary pink.
"You lay a hand on him and I call the police. My Dad is a cop, remember?" Connie commented.
Steven just smirked. "I remember. But....your dad can't arrest me if I have proof you are a two timing bitch."
"What proof?" Jeff asked.
Steven pulled out his phone and played back this entire conversation! He had recorded it.
Enraged, Jeff lept at Steven, who dodged the attack.
Steven then tackled Jeff out the window, sending them both out of the second floor, landing in the bushes.
Jeff scrambled to get up, but Steven wouldn't let him, raining down punch after punch on the boy.
Connie came running outside, screaming for help.
Steven threw Jeff into a nearby metal fence as Connie could only watch.
By this time, Jeff had been busted open as blood was pouring from his head, covering his face.
Steven then grabbed Jeff's arm.
"Remind me: Is this the one Connie broke?" The hybrid asked coldy as he snapped the arm like a twig.
Jeff screamed in pain.
Voices could be heard while this was going on, but all of it was a blur to the enraged Steven.
Suddenly, the Gems had arrived just as Steven grabbed Jeff's other arm, ready to snap it!
"STEVEN! STOP! IT ISN'T WORTH IT!" He could hear Pearl scream.
"STOP HIM! HE'S GOING TO KILL HIM!" Connie screamed.
Steven dragged Jeff's body over to where everyone could see. He then pointed at Connie.
"THIS IS HER FAULT! SHE CHEATED ON ME WITH THIS ASSHOLE!"
The Gems glared angrily at Connie, now knowing that this was her fault.
"That would explain why you came out here in a damn towel, you slut!" Amethyst snapped at Connie.
"I don't care! I don't love Steven anymore!" Connie screamed.
Steven then grabbed Jeff's other arm and looked at Connie.
"Let's see how this bastsard holds you in his arms now, bitch!" Steven snapped as he snapped Jeff's arm in two with a sickening crack.
Connie rushed over to Jeff's side as Steven then glared at Connie, who looked terrified.
Garnet then intervenes, stopping Steven from doing something he'll regret.
"No. She isn't worth it. You are better than that. You don't need her, Steven. Let's go home, Ok? "Garnet said.
Steven sighed. "Fine. I still need the sword."
"I'll get it and bring it by your place, dude. Just go home and rest." Said Lars, who had just arrived.
"Alright, thanks Lars." Steven replied.
Garnet glared at Connie. "You are no longer welcome at the temple, Connie."
The Gems and Steven headed back to the temple. Steven didn't say anything as he went in Rose's Room to reflect. It would be where he would spend the most time for several days, much to the concern of the Gems...
