Third person P.O.V

A little boy about the age of five was limping out of the forest. Wings torn and blood covered his clothes and mouth. Tears were streaming down his face as he cried for help to anyone who would save him. But no one was around.

"Mom....Dad..*cough* M-Matthew" The boy cried as he fell on him knees.

The pain he felt inside of him was to much. His body hit the ground and the darkness started to consume him.

Henry's  P.O.V

I was walking around the park with my newlywed wife Jessica exploring the area that we now live in.

"This place is amazing Henry" Jessica said her eyes sparkling in the sunlight.

"Yea..it is" I said.

We took a seat on the bench beside the waterfall. The park was beautiful but there was one thing off about it. Where we the kids? There's a neighborhood down the road from here so I thought the children would come here and play. But the place was deserted.

"Honey I'm going to keep exploring you can stay here if you want" Jessica said knocking me out of my thoughts.

I looked at her giving her a small smile.

"Ok don't go to far" I told her.

She waved and walked around the corner. I pulled out my phone and took a photo of the waterfall. It was the only thing the made the park light up. Suddenly I heard Jessica scream scream my name which made my heart skip a beat. I ran around the corner to see her on her knees holding something. I went beside her to see a little boy covered in blood and dried up tears on his face. I looked over at Jessica who was just as surprised as I was.

"W-What happened to him?" she asked pushing his hair out his face.

"I don't know but he needs help" I said.

There was a long silence after that until Jessica broke it.

"Let's take him in"  she said.

I looked at her. She was serious. I nodded my head in agreement and picked the little boy up. We took him to our car and put in in the back seat. As we set him down he stirred in his sleep mumbling 'Mom.. Dad' Jessica gave him a sad smile as we drove off.

When we got to the house we got to the house I took him to the bathroom for a bath. When I pulled off his shirt I noticed cuts and bruises on his body.

'What happened to you...' I thought.

After his bath I wrapped a bandage around all of his cuts and bruises and layed him down in the guess bedroom. I heard Jessica come inside leaning her head on my shoulder.

"You ok?" I asked.

"Yea..I'm just confused" she explained, "What kind of parents would leave their child alone hurt like this?"

"I don't know..." I sighed.

"What do you want to name him?"I asked changing the subject.

Jessica moves towards  the boy and gave him a kiss on his forehead. She smiled and looked at me.

"Anthony...his names Anthony" She said.

I laughed and sat on the bed next to him.

"Welcome to the family Anthony"
