Naruto and Sasuke were back in Naruto's apartment.

"So... what do we do?" asked Sasuke.

"Well... you know... I love messing with Jiji," said Naruto.

"Hokage sama, is it okay to mess with the older Hokage sama?" asked Sasuke.

"Yes," said Naruto with an evil glint in his eyes.

"Well, if we are back in time, might as well enjoy everything," said Sasuke with a smirk.

Hiruzen was doing paperwork when Naruto burst into his office.

"N-Naruto kun!" gasped Hiruzen as he had fallen from his chair.

"Jiji, send Anbu out," said Naruto in a serious tone, as Sasuke entered behind him.

"Why so?" asked Hiruzen.

"We need to discuss something," he replied and Hiruzen motioned everyone to get out.

The Anbu hesitated but gave in after a little convincing.

"Jiji, who are my parents?" asked Naruto in a serious tone.

"I don't know Naruto," replied Hiruzen.

"Oh so you don't know the fourth?" asked Sasuke, and Hiruzen paled.

"H-how?" asked Hiruzen.

"Well you see, I had been talking to Kur- Kyubi for the past six months or so, and apparently, dad had infused his and mom's chakra in the seal," said Naruto, telling the half-truth.

"You talked to Kyubi!" gasped the Third.

"Beside the point. Anyways, he was under a genjutsu of Sharingan, when he attacked," said Naruto.

"What?" gasped Hiruzen.

"Yes, by some Madara wannabe. But the thing is, why didn't you tell me?" asked Naruto, pouting.

"Y-you see, I-I wanted you to have a normal childhood," he said.

"Well with these villagers, Naruto cannot have a normal childhood anyways," said Sasuke, pissed. He never really liked Hiruzen as he knew he hid the fact about Naruto's parents from Naruto.

"Sasuke," said Naruto in a stern tone, a tone which could make even the Anbu obey him, and it silenced Sasuke immediately.

"Anyway, I am not angry. But there is more," said Naruto.

"What is it?" asked Hiruzen, and Naruto entered the KCM-1 and Sasuke undid the genjutsu hiding his eyes.

"R-Rinnegan! And you can control Kyubi's chakra!" gasped Hiruzen. Being old, he couldn't take anymore and fainted.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"I told you he was too old for this job," deadpanned Naruto.

"Seems so," said Sasuke.

After a few minutes, Hiruzen woke up.

"H-how?" asked Hiruzen.

"So... well this morning me and Sasuke found ourselves in a... I don't know..." trailed Naruto.

"Shared mindscape," prompted Sasuke.

"Yeah that, so well, there was this old man, Rikudou Sennin," said Naruto.

"You met him!"

"Yes, Hokage sama. So he told us that we were his kids' reincarnation, and well we had been friends for about six months, so he told us that he would divide the power between us. He got his sage mode, which would activate when he would senjutsu, and mine was Rinnegan, which I would get if I got the Mangekyou. But what no one knows is that I got my Mangekyou on the day of the massacre," said Sasuke.

"Oh..." trailed off Hiruzen when Sasuke mentioned the Uchiha massacre.

Then his attention went on something Sasuke had said.

"Why did you keep your friendship hidden?" asked Hiruzen.

"Well, the council wouldn't want their precious Uchiha to be friends with the demon brat, would they?" asked Naruto rhetorically, and Hiruzen winced.

"I am sorry Naruto," said Hiruzen apologetically.

"Well, don't be. It was the villager's fault. And it is a part of the reason why I am the dead last," said Naruto.

"Why?" 

"Simple, there are enough attempts to kill me as a demon. Think what would happen if there was a smart demon," said Naruto.

"K-kill!" gasped Hiruzen.

"You didn't know?" asked Naruto.

"NO! I WILL GET THEM EXECUTED! WHO WERE THEY?" asked a livid Hiruzen. Mistreating Naruto was one thing. But trying to kill him? 

"Don't worry Jiji," said Naruto.

"Bu-"

"Don't worry, I will protect him. We both aren't exactly weak," said Sasuke.

"Okay..."

"Jiji, could I get access to my dad's compound? He told me to learn fuinjutsu," said Naruto.

"Oka- WAIT HOW DID YOU MEET MINATO!" he gasped before fainting once again.

"..."

They both had fallen asleep in Naruto's house only, as they had been very tired after the jutsu. Currently, Naruto was half on the bed and half on the ground, while Sasuke was upside down on the sofa, his legs on the wall.

All of a sudden Naruto's alarm went off and he shot up.

Sasuke, not being so lucky, fell face-first onto the ground.

"Uh..." groaned Sasuke.

"Get up! It's time for school," said Naruto as he ran towards the bathroom. Sasuke, seeing the time, jumped out of the window and rushed towards his flat.

"Meet me in school," said Sasuke before leaving.

A few moments later, Sasuke and Naruto burst into their classroom together.

Iruka, who was sitting at the table, looked up and saw Naruto.

"N-NARUTO!" he gasped, unable to believe that he could come on time.

"Sensei, am I so late that the school got over!" said Naruto, acting dumb.

"No, you are 30 minutes early," said Iruka.

Sasuke chuckled at this, which further shocked him, as he wasn't known to show many emotions.

"Teme," muttered Naruto.

"Dobe," he shot back.

"Teme"

"Dobe"

"Teme"

"Dobe"

"Teme"

"Dobe"

They both then burst laughing.

Iruka rubbed his eyes, and pinched himself to check whether this was real.

"Now go back to your seat, or others would get suspicious," said Naruto.

"Suspicious about what?" asked Iruka.

"Whether we are friends," said Naruto.

"Are you?" asked Iruka.

"Yes," said Sasuke.

"Why hide it?"

"The council wouldn't want their little Uchiha near the demon brat," said Naruto in a no-bullshit tone.

'He knows!'

"Please, I can't handle one more day of sitting with either Sakura or Ino," begged Sasuke.

"But I wanna sit next to... you know..." said Naruto.

"Please crush on Hinata later," said Sasuke.

"Hinata? I thought you liked Sakura," said Iruka.

"Nope. I actually like Hinata, I just fake it," said Naruto.

"Stop faking it," said Sasuke.

"Well, we can't exactly become friendly. She is Hyuga, and currently, I am clanless. Until I don't reveal my parents, we can't exactly... you know..." said naruto.

"You know your parents?" asked Iruka.

"Yes. I know many things," said Naruto.

"Then how come you are the dead-last?" questioned Iruka.

"You think the council would let a 'smart demon' become a ninja? I will have to hide in plain sight. I can't top or even be in top ten," said Naruto.

"N-Naruto," said Iruka, a little overwhelmed.

"It's all right sensei, I am fine. Though I trust you that you won't tell anyone about this. I told you and can talk freely around you because I know you aren't like the others," said Naruto.

"I won't Naruto. Though at least score average instead of dead last," said Iruka as he ruffled his hair, which soothed Naruto.

"Okay t-sensei," said Naruto as he closed his eyes.

Naruto and Sasuke were sleeping when Ino and Sakura burst inside.

"I was first!" yelled Sakura.

Naruto and Sasuke woke up.

"Get out of there Naruto baka," yelled Sakura.

"Ma, Sakura-chan, you need to be polite when asking someone something," said Naruto.

"GET OUT!" they both screeched.

Naruto looked at Sasuke, who shook his head vigorously.

"Sasuke doesn't want to..." said Naruto before he saw Hinata sitting in the corner alone.

"... On the second thought, I would love to annoy him," said Naruto with a smirk as he got up.

"Traitor," said Sasuke. Naruto just stuck his tongue out at him.

"Sakura-chan, you know, Sasuke likes strong ninjas," said Naruto.

"Oh?" both Sakura and Ino said in surprise.

Without saying anything, he went and sat next to Hinata.

"Hey Hinata chan," greeted Naruto.

"N-Naruto kun!" she said as she turned red.

"Do you have a fever?" asked Naruto cluelessly.

"N-no," she said.

He then proceeded to sleep, only to be woken up by Iruka.

"NARUTO!" he yelled, startling Naruto as he hugged Hinata in surprise. Unable to take it, she fainted.

"Hinata, are you okay?" asked Naruto, and the class facepalmed.

"She is fine Naruto," said Shino.

"Oh," he said. The class turned, as Naruto looked at the board with a clueless expression. But Shikamaru and Iruka could swear that he had a smirk on his face.

'Troublesome,' he thought.

'This time, I will actually treat you like a princess, hime,' thought Naruto.
