Supergirl ~ Trinity ~ Part Two
I feel like I spoil everyone sometimes when I update way past midnight on the night before classes. You guys are lucky I really get into writing sometimes.
And since it seems like I need to keep saying this . . . I try never to promise when an update is going to happen. I'm in school, I'm very busy, and I never know when something's going to pop up in my schedule that could change my writing plans. I also never know when something may take more time to write than I expect, which happens a lot. So please, please, please, please do not ask me for when you think I may update again because the simple answer is going to be I don't know. The worst is asking for an update an hour or so right after I publish an update. Usually when I finish a chapter I update it right away and I haven't even started on the next chapter, so there is no way I'm going to update back to back unless it's an episode I've said in the first update that I've completed in its entirety, like "Of Two Evils."
Believe me, I work as hard as I can to finish these chapters so everyone can enjoy them, and I'm certain that all of you, just like me, value the quality of these chapters more than how quickly they get out. I would much rather give you a chapter I've written to the best of my ability a week, or two, or even longer after the previous update than giving you one within two or three days that is complete garbage. I would much rather give you my best, so please allow me the time to write it.
Now, on that note . . . Kara, Alex, and Lena venture into the dark valley to find Sam, Oliver has a chat with J'onn and Mon-El each, and where exactly are the Legends again?
***
Kara heard two gasps mingled with hers as she woke up, and when she did, she saw all black around her, including the sky and trees. She swallowed hard, fighting a shiver. "We're here," she whispered.
Lena slowly stood, looking around. "This is . . . " She completed a circle, trying to find the words to say. "This is impressive," she settled on.
"This is Juru," Kara told her.
There was a cracking noise from behind them, and they turned to see Alex snap a few sticks off one of the trees. "Are those for Sam and Julia?" Lena asked.
"It's for whatever might be around," Alex answered, climbing over a few fallen branches to join them.
Lena frowned, scratching her head. "I don't even know if anything here can get injured."
Alex hummed. "Sorry in advance."
"What?" Lena frowned, then yelped when Alex jabbed her with one of the sticks. "Ow!"
"Yeah, we're good," Alex nodded, smiling as she held up the stick. "This one. I like it. It's mine."
"Thanks," Kara took the stick offered to her, then bracing herself, dragged the stick across her palm. She hissed, making both women look at her. "Yep," she held up her now bleeding hand. "This place bites."
"Ouch," Lena winced sympathetically.
Alex nodded in agreement, then caught sight of something past Kara. "Oh, my God."
"What?" Kara asked, turning to look.
She gasped when she saw the woman lying in the mist. "That's Grace," Alex gulped.
"Who?" Lena frowned.
"She's the human form of Pestilence," Kara answered.
Lena swallowed hard, looking down at her. "She's dead."
"Which means that we're running out of time with Sam and Julia," Alex nodded.
Kara looked around, then pointed. "They headed this direction."
Lena nodded, giving Grace one last look before following Kara through the trees.

Surprisingly, it was Dig who cracked first and asked one of the questions everyone was wondering. "How long?"
"Fifty-four minutes to totality," Querl answered.
"Jesus," Cisco dropped his forehead onto his clasped hands. "I hate this."
"Not being able to do anything?" Slade raised an eyebrow.
"Exactly!"
Slade scoffed softly, returning to his pacing. "You're not the only one."
Jesse jumped at a triumphant noise, and she turned to see Evelyn laugh and pull a pile of cards towards her. "Got it!"
"How are you winning this?" William protested.
"I'm good at cards," Evelyn grinned in reply.
"What're you doing?" Jesse asked incredulously.
"War," they answered at the same time.
"Never mind that," Winn frowned over . . . whatever he was working on at his console. "Where did you find the cards?"
They pointed at the same time towards Mon-El, who was looking at a tablet with Imra. As if aware of the eyes suddenly on him, Mon-El looked up, only to blink when he realized what he was getting asked. "What?" he held up his hands defensively. "We still have cards in the 31st century!"
"Well, at least they're still having fun," Laurel sighed, watching William and Evelyn flip over cards.
Malcolm smiled when they shouted "War!" again, making multiple adults around the room chuckle. "It'll be OK," he told her.
She sighed, leaning against him as he put his arm around her. "I hope so."
Barry tilted his head as he watched them, then pointed at them and looked at Oliver. "When did that happen?"
Oliver finally looked up from Kara, blinking in confusion, then turned to look at Malcolm and Laurel. He frowned, tilting his head. "Probably some time after he woke up from being infected by Pestilence."
"Huh. How're you explaining that to Thea?"
"I'm not going to," Oliver smirked. "That's for Malcolm to explain."
Barry whistled. "Good luck, Malcolm." Oliver snorted, but his amusement faded at once when he heard Kara make a noise from where she was laying. He looked down to see her head tossing and turning from side to side, breathing sharply. When she whimpered, he clenched his jaw and turned on his heel, walking off. "Oliver!" Barry called, making the others look up.
J'onn walked away from Alex's side, holding up his hand to stop the others from going after him, but William bit his lip, looking at Evelyn. "I won't look at your cards," she promised.
William put his face down and scrambled to his feet, running after J'onn, Evelyn watching him go in concern. He caught up to J'onn just as he rounded the corner to where Oliver was pacing restlessly. "Oliver?" the Martian asked.
Oliver spared both of them a look before closing his eyes, taking a few deep breaths to try and compose himself. "Kara was in a coma the last time she was unconscious with a crown on her forehead," he said in a tight voice, hands on his hips. "And this time, with the eclipse happening and what Brainy said . . . " He shook his head, looking up at J'onn. If he looked at his son, there was no way he was going to stay composed. "She looks so breakable."
"She's strong," J'onn told him. "They all are."
"I know," Oliver closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. "But I just want to pull her out so bad."
J'onn sighed, looking down. "Yeah, me, too."
"It stings enough that these Worldkillers are Kryptonian and there's no possible way for me to help her except with the one weapon that I know hurts her as much as them," Oliver continued, speaking faster as he went. "And I can't pull her out no matter how much I want to because that diminishes the chance of getting Sam back. I can't pull her out, I can't fight the Worldkillers for her, and all I can do is just stand by and watch her be in pain – " He cut himself off, taking a deep breath. "I hate this," he finally said, his voice cracking.
William moved around J'onn and hugged Oliver tightly. "I don't like it, either," he said in a small voice.
Oliver sighed, crouching down so he could hug his son better. "It's awful," he whispered. "And seeing her like this is why I didn't want you here when she was in a coma."
He felt on a hand on his shoulder and looked up at J'onn, the Martian looking down at them with a kind expression. "She's stronger with both of you there with her," he told them. "She'll come back to you, just like she did then."
Oliver could only take a deep breath and nod, reaching out and clasping J'onn's shoulder thankfully. He did the same thing, squeezing Oliver's shoulder supportively.
***
"You don't look so good," Alex frowned in concern.
"I'm just tired," Kara waved it off, though she was breathing heavily. "Brainy said it'd be hard for me to carry both of you in here." She huffed, flicking a strand of hair out of her face. "Is this what it's like when humans exercise? This is terrible! Why would you ever exercise?"
"One foot in front of the other," Alex patted her shoulder.
"Put it this way," Lena came up on her other side, a smirk on her lips. "Oliver wouldn't be in as good shape as he is if he didn't exercise."
Kara stopped short, glaring at Lena even as her cheeks flushed pink. "OK, that's not fair."
"No?" Lena grinned widely as Alex laughed hysterically. "You think it's not?"
Kara fidgeted, then pouted. "My fiancée," she mumbled possessively.
If anything, that just made Alex laugh even harder. "Oh, I wish I had a camera," she wheezed, doubling over as Lena, too, started laughing. "Oh, that's priceless."
"I hate you both!" Kara complained.
"No, you don't," Lena grinned.
Kara playfully sighed. "No, I don't," she agreed, joining Lena's giggles. "Could you imagine where we'd be if this happened and I hadn't told you I was Supergirl?"
"Oh, God, I probably wouldn't have told you about Sam at all," Lena grimaced.
"That wouldn't have ended well at all," Alex remarked.
Kara stopped short. "We don't even know how long it might have taken Oliver, Slade, Malcolm, and Laurel to find me."
That stopped the other two in their tracks as well. "You're right," Alex realized in shock. "Whoa."
Lena swallowed hard. "I'm glad you told me."
"Yeah, me, too," Kara nodded numbly. "Thank Oliver, too, for asking me to help him. I think stopping Prometheus and saving everyone gave me an unexpected confidence boost to tell you."
"I will do that," Lena scratched the back of her head. "God, imagine your reaction if I you hadn't told me and you found out I had Kryptonite."
"Oh, Rao," Kara shuddered. "That would not end well at all."
"No," Lena shook her head. "You'd probably want to find out if I had any more Kryptonite aside from what I used on Sam."
Kara sighed. "Overgirl and the Worldkillers who are hurting people, who have been able to go toe-to-toe and/or beat me, have shown me Kryptonite is necessary. I may not like that you have it, but at least if one of them goes after you, you're covered." She cringed. "And the Red Kryptonite fiasco . . . ugh." She threw both hands in the air. "At least there's a method you can use to try and make sure I wouldn't hurt anyone."
"We'd have to find someone to shoot you, though," Alex tilted her head thoughtfully. "I don't think anyone on your team or Oliver's would like having that job."
"OK, can we stop being so dismal?" Lena asked.
"I second that motion," Kara raised her hand. A shriek echoed around them, making all of them look around. A second later, a black-cloaked figure with a pale as bone face appeared, shrieking before poofing away in a cloud of smoke. "Never mind," Kara swallowed.
"What the hell was that?" Lena's eyes widened.
"The reason we have sticks," Alex held hers up.
The next time one of the figures appeared after whipping around them, Alex threw her stick like a javelin. The figure exploded in a cloud of smoke, and Kara swallowed. "That's a Kryptonian demon. I've seen them before." She looked around, then pointed. "That's where they went. We're running out of time."
"I think I see an entrance over there," Alex pointed as well.
Kara jogged in the direction Alex pointed. Sure enough, there was a steel door in the wall, the symbol of the Worldkillers etched into the metal. She pulled it open, poking her head inside to see if there were any other demons. "All right, come on," she held the door open. "Come on."
Alex and Lena hurried inside, and Kara closed the door behind them. They walked through what appeared to be a fortress of stone, and as they walked around the corner, Kara's ears picked up female whimpers coming from further in.
When they rounded the corner, Kara froze when she saw the woman lying against the wall, staring blankly at the wall opposite her. "Julia," she breathed, running over to check on her. "Julia!"
"Julia, it's Supergirl and Agent Danvers," Alex joined her, crouching in front of the woman. "Can you hear me?"
"We're here to help you," Kara said.
Just past them, Lena followed the whimpers, catching sight of scratched words on the wall, all variations of my daughter's name is Ruby. When she rounded the corner, she swallowed hard, seeing her friend shivering against the wall, still clad in her hospital gown. "Oh, my God," she ran over.
"I killed them."
Lena blinked, not able to hear Sam's voice, she was barely audible. "What?" she asked, hearing footsteps behind her as Kara and Alex followed her.
"I killed them," Sam repeated.
***
"You are saying that, when Reign takes over Ms. Arias's mind, Ms. Arias's goes into this dark valley?" Stein asked over the screen in the Legion ship.
"That's exactly correct," Harry nodded.
"Yeah, it's a completely different dimension," Felicity chimed in.
"Astonishing," Stein murmured.
"Well, Kara, Alex, and Lena are in there trying to find Sam and get her to show them where the Worldkillers currently are, and hopefully before this eclipse possibly kills Kara," Cisco nodded, then froze when he felt piercing glares on his back. "I'm being death glared at by Team Arrow, aren't I?"
"Whatever gave you that idea?" Slade scowled.
Cisco gulped. "I'm gonna . . . go over there and find something to do far away from everyone."
"Probably smart," Caitlin nodded rapidly.
Jesse looked at her father in confusion, who cleared his throat. "You learn very quickly that there are certain people who are . . . much more protective of Kara than others," he explained. "For instance, three former supervillains and her fiancé. Hence the heat vision glare without the actual heat vision."
"Oh," Jesse nodded in understanding.
"Are they doing OK, though?" Iris asked in concern.
"If we could talk to them, we'd tell you that," Mon-El sighed, looking over his shoulder at the trio.
Iris clicked her tongue sympathetically. "I wish we could help."
"Actually, we get the Legends are doing their whole saving the timeline thing, but we've tried contacting them and haven't gotten a response at all," Winn scratched his head. "We thought Ray and Lily would be all over this."
"My Lily would be," Stein smiled fondly, which faded as he thought. "But I understand your concern. The last I heard when she and Jefferson stayed, they had just rescued Dr. Palmer after he was kidnapped, retrieved the broken remains of the Fire Totem, and were planning to retrieve Miss Jiwe's."
"Oh, more magic," Max sighed. "Wonderful."
"Wally sounded like he was settling in, though," Iris added.
"Good," Barry nodded. "Hope he can keep up with the craziness."
"If having a speedster onboard doesn't drive them crazy first," Iris smirked.
"We're reaching critical," Querl suddenly announced, Felicity peering over his shoulder to see the timer click down to fifteen minutes. "Fifteen minutes to totality."
Oliver tensed, and Barry turned to look at the screen. "We'll be back as soon as we can," he promised.
"Good luck with Sam," Iris wished.
"And the Worldkillers," Stein added.
"Thanks," Oliver finally said.
Mon-El shut the screen down, turning and walking up to between Kara's and Lena's beds, looking down at a pale and clammy Kara, Oliver, holding tightly to her hand. Mon-El looked down at William and Evelyn, who had moved their card game closer to Kara, both occasionally looking up at the unconscious Kryptonian. "Think you can do me a favor?" Oliver asked.
"Anything," Mon-El nodded.
Oliver sighed. "If one of them wants to pull her out . . . you gotta be the one to say no."
The Daxamite blinked rapidly in surprise. "What?"
"I can't tell you how much I'm biting my tongue to stop myself from telling Brainy to get her out," Oliver admitted quietly, running his other hand through his hair. "And if someone tries to pull her out . . . I don't trust myself to stop them."
Mon-El sighed, then nodded in agreement. "OK."
Oliver nodded gratefully. "Thank you."
Mon-El simply nodded, looking back down at Kara. "You're welcome."
***
"You're here," Sam whispered.
"Of course we're here," Lena frowned. "You think I'd forget about you?"
"Lena," Sam stared at her, then gasped and looked over her shoulder. "Alex . . . Supergirl." Both smiled reassuringly, but those smiles faded when they heard Sam's next words. "I killed you, too? I'm sorry!"
"Sam, no," Alex immediately shook her head.
"I'm sorry!" Sam sobbed.
"No, Reign didn't kill us," Alex bent down. "We're here to help you."
"We're gonna get you out of here," Lena nodded.
"The people I killed are coming," Sam whimpered.
"Reign killed, not you," Kara told her.
"We're gonna make sure Reign never hurts anyone again," Lena promised.
"But Sam, you have to wake up," Kara crouched down. "You have to go back to your body and send us a message, tell us where the Worldkillers are."
"Don't let them in," Sam mumbled, not seeming to see them as she backed up. "They want me. I killed them."
"Hey," Kara shook her head. "Hey, you are not a murderer."
She started to step after her, but before she put her foot back down, she staggered, blinking as a wave of dizziness swept over her.
***
Back on the Legion cruiser, Kara's body suddenly seized, and Oliver swallowed hard as her hand squeezed his as she gritted her teeth, head thrown back on the bed. "Ten minutes to totality," Cisco watched, chewing his lip.
"She can't take much more," Querl stepped away from the scans.
"Keep her in," Mon-El ordered.
"She's only got minutes!" Querl protested, reaching for the crown on her head.
"I said keep her in!" Mon-El snapped.
Querl blinked rapidly, looking at him in surprise, along with everyone else. Several of them looked at Oliver, who hadn't even opened his mouth, and he only nodded gratefully to Mon-El. The Legionnaire nodded back, watching Kara's stiff form.
***
"Hey," Alex crouched by Kara, helping her stand back up. "Hey, we have to get you out of here."
"No," Kara clenched her jaw. "Not yet. Not yet." She took a deep breath, watching Sam scoot back further. "Sam, we don't have much time. Come on, stay with us! Remember who you are!"
"Hey," Lena walked after her, crouching back in front of her. "You are Sam Arias, OK? You're the woman I would trust with anything."
"You're good," Alex nodded.
"You're a friend," Kara pitched in.
"You're a fighter," Lena continued.
"You're a mother," Alex added.
Sam flinched at that, and Lena pounced on the opportunity. "Remember Ruby?" Sam squeezed her eyes shut, looking down, and Lena swallowed. "Ruby, she's waiting for you to come home."
"Sam, you have to think of Ruby," Alex pressed.
"Ruby," Kara insisted.
"Remember Ruby?" Lena asked.
"Ruby!"
***
Sam inhaled sharply, and when she opened her eyes, she wasn't in the valley anymore. No, instead she was in the rocky Fortress she just barely remembered, and with wide eyes, she looked at the two women in front of her, their joined hands crackling with electricity . . . and the black suit she was wearing that belonged to Reign.
***
When Sam's eyes opened, they were demonic red, and she surged up, grabbing Lena by the neck and lifting her into the air. "Let her go!" Kara cried, rushing forward as Lena choked.
"I'll break her neck!" Reign threatened, squeezing tightly.
***
Sam gulped as she looked around, then carefully removed her hands from the circle. The electricity vanished, but the two other Worldkillers remained frozen. Sam watched them for a few seconds, waiting for any kind of movement. When she saw none, she turned around, searching the Fortress. What had Supergirl said to do?
Her eyes found the console in the center of the Fortress, and like in a daze, she walked over, reaching over to find a button of some kind, then her fingers brushed over a crystal . . . the same crystal she had gotten from the pod Patricia had found.
Send us a message. Tell us where the Worldkillers are.
***
"Take me!" Kara shouted urgently. "Take me instead, please!"
"You," Reign sneered, glaring at her. "You are nothing. You've always been nothing. Only one of equal strength can defeat me. You are driftwood in the face of a hurricane."
***
Sam picked up the crystal, examining it. She looked back down at the console, twisting the crystal over in her hand, then reached over and inserted it into a slot in the console.
The crystal lit up blood red, and the lights on the console followed, and Sam gave a small smile for the first time in weeks, her heart racing. Hopefully that was enough.
***
Rapid beeping came from one of the screens, and Imra's head shot up as she turned it towards her. A second later, a wide smile formed on her face. "It worked," she announced. "We've got a location."
"Pull them out!" Oliver shouted the moment the words left Imra's lips.
"Pull them out now!" Mon-El reinforced the order, and Querl sprinted to Kara, reaching for the crown on her head.
"Setting a course," Imra rushed to the console of the ship.
"Here we go," Barry took a deep breath, lightning crackling in his eyes as Slade and Malcolm exchanged vicious smirks.
***
Sam turned away from the console, then froze when she came face to face with the hologram of a woman cloaked in black. "You!" she accused, letting out an echoing roar and scream.
Sam staggered back against the console, grimacing at the noise, then reached over and yanked the crystal free. The hologram vanished, and Sam sighed in relief, looking back at the crystal.
She heard footsteps, then looked up to see the Worldkiller with black hair in blue walk up, her sickening yellow eyes glaring at her. "Human!" she sneered accusingly, then punched her in the face.
Sam collapsed against the console, then stiffened and groaned. A second later, and animalistic growl came from her chest, and she glared up at the Worldkiller in front of her, eyes flaring red as her lips curled upwards. Pestilence smirked in satisfaction, looking down at her. "I thought that might work."
Reign stood up and delivered a swift right hook to Pestilence, knocking her down. "It did," she nodded as Purity joined them. "Thank you. They're coming."
"No," Purity shook her head, looking up. "They're already here."
Reign and Pestilence looked up as well to see the Legion cruiser hovering above the Fortress, weapons humming and ready for battle.
***
The last Kara remembered seeing of the valley was Lena fizzling out in shimmers of blue. Then she was opening her eyes on the Legion ship, eyes suddenly seeing blinding white.
She shot upright, gasping for breath, one hand reaching for her chest. Something tightened around her other hand, then Oliver and William were both in front of her, Evelyn hovering behind William in concern. "You OK?" Oliver asked, squeezing her hand tighter.
"Yeah," Kara swallowed hard, nodding. "Yeah, I'm good." Oliver sighed in relief, and she surveyed everyone around her. Aside from William, Evelyn, Harry, Felicity, Max, Lucy, and Winn, everyone was in a super suit of some kind, and hope stirred in her chest. "It worked?" she asked.
"Like a charm," Mon-El grinned.
"Are we still talking about dark magic?" Querl asked, blinking in confusion.
Kara nudged William a bit, smiling at him. "Told you I'd be fine."
"It was still scary," William gave her a small hug.
Kara rubbed his back as she stood up. "Sorry, Will."
"You should rest some more," J'onn frowned at her.
"If it didn't work earlier, I don't think it's gonna work now," Oliver pointed out.
The Martian sighed, but conceded with a nod. "Let's go."
"Team Tech back in action?" Lena asked, accepting Harry's hand up.
"You bet," he nodded, giving her a hug.
"Good," Lena cracked her knuckles, giving Jesse a smile. "Good luck."
"Thanks," Jesse grinned back. "You, too."
"Uh, one quick thing," Winn raised a hand, making everyone look at him. "Can I talk to the human, firearms-shooting people from Team SuperArrow real quick?"
"We're not called that!" Oliver huffed in annoyance.
"Hey, it's quick and it's easier to say than Team Supergirl and Team Arrow."
"I like his thinking," Cisco pointed at Winn as he put his glasses on.
Slade rolled his eye, but he, Dig, and Alex all moved over to where Winn was beckoning them. "We kind of need to go," Alex pointed after the others.
"Listen, this is worth the wait," Winn promised.
"OK," Dig frowned, folding his arms. "What you got?"
"Well, let's see," Winn backed up, rubbing his hands together. "I'm counting what everyone brings to the table in a fight like this, y'know? I mean, J'onn can phase through things, he can shapeshift. Then you got Supergirl, she can laser-vision, freeze-breath, she's massively strong. Then there's Laurel, and she's got her super scream, which Alex has a bit of, though it's not the same as being a meta. Oliver and Malcolm don't really have super powers, but they've got the Kryptonite arrows to at least distract the Worldkillers until someone else can take them out – in this case, most likely Kara and Laurel respectively."
"You really don't know how to give a pep talk, do you?" Slade scowled.
"Yeah, not really feeling the hype," Dig agreed.
"Exactly!" Winn pointed at them. "Exactly, right? So, I'm thinking, 'in a fight against the Worldkillers, what do three of the best, most badass fighters need to take their battle-readiness up a notch?"
Alex eyed the boxes he set down in front of them, and her eyes widened when Winn pointed to the gun at her side. "You didn't," she breathed.
"Oh, girl, I did!" Winn grinned, popping open the box in front of her, showing the customized pair of guns he had inside. "And then some!" He pulled out a pair of fingerless gloves from underneath the guns, holding them up for the trio to see. "What if I told you . . . the future is magnets?"
He pointed the gloves to the side, and a startled yelp came from where Querl was speaking with Felicity. A second later, Querl's Legion ring landed with a smack against the palm of the glove. "Whoa!" Dig's eyes widened in shock.
Alex burst out laughing in glee, even as Querl stormed over. "That ring literally costs more than this entire ship!" he ranted, snatching his ring from the glove and sliding it on. "Also . . . that hurt!"
Winn smiled proudly, pointing between Dig and Slade. "I customized your gloves to match your suits," he said as the duo opened their cases. "Oh . . . and the guns?" He smirked. "Wait until you see the bullets."
"What did you give us?" Dig asked, a smile growing on his face.
Winn just hummed, rocking on his heels. "I guess you'll have to shoot the Worldkillers to find out, won't you?"
Slade chuckled, taking the pair of guns in his case and the gloves, Dig doing the same. "Thank you, Winn."
"No problem," Winn gave them double thumbs up. Alex gave him a quick hug and grabbed her own belongings, running after the others. "Good luck!" he called.
***
"Those look new," Laurel tilted her head as the trio joined them.
"They are," Alex grinned smugly.
"OK, how do we do this?" Barry looked around. "We're all either going to win this easily or we could just as easily get in each other's way."
"Yeah, let's not do that," Cisco shook his head.
"Some people have unfinished business with Pestilence," Kara glowered.
"Yeah, get in line," Malcolm checked the arrows in his quiver.
"Mon-El, Imra, Malcolm, Siren, and I can move in on Pestilence," Oliver volunteered.
"OK, and Cait, Cisco, Jesse, and I can face Purity," Barry nodded.
"I'll help you," J'onn said.
Kara took a deep breath, looking at Alex, Slade, and Dig. "You three watch my back?"
"You know it," Alex nodded.
"OK," Kara nodded, clenching her hands in fists. "Comms check?"
"Overwatch, right here," Felicity said at once.
"Telle, standing by," Winn added.
"Checkmate, standing ready," Lena pitched in.
"Wells, ready," Harry said.
"Reading loud and clear," Lucy said.
"Loud and clear here," Max added.
"Brainiac 5, standing ready," Querl said. "Structure nearly breached. Prepare for drop."
"Good luck!" William and Evelyn called over the comms.
Kara smiled, looking over at Oliver. "We've got this," she told him.
He nodded in agreement. "I love you."
She smiled back, reaching for his hand. "I love you, too." He squeezed her hand, and Kara looked over at Barry. "Thank you," she told him.
"Any time," Barry nodded.
Kara looked around, then took a deep breath. "Brainy, we're ready!"
"Dropping in three, two, one," Querl announced.
The transport beam activated, and Kara reached out and grabbed Barry's arm as well as the floor vanished under them and Oliver. The trio landed in crouches at the same time in the middle of the Fortress, the rest of their teams following them.
When they straightened, they found Reign, Purity, and Pestilence in front of them, the three in battle stances, eyes glowing ominously. Kara's fingers curled into fists as Barry placed himself in a running stance, Oliver's fingers tightening around his bow.
The two groups of three stared at each other, then Kara flew forward towards Reign, Barry disappearing in a crackle of lightning shortly after. The moment they moved, Oliver drew an arrow and fired at Pestilence, the Worldkiller raising her hand and swatting it out of the air, but she was distracted enough for Mon-El, Imra, and Laurel to charge, Malcolm joining Oliver. Barry's lightning smacked into Purity and knocked her back, allowing J'onn, Cisco, Caitlin, and Jesse to swarm her.
And Alex, Slade, and Dig sped after Kara and Reign as they dueled back further into the Fortress, both throwing vicious punch after punch.
***
Just to let people know, this takes place for Team Flash after "Enter Flashtime" but before Jesse returns to Earth-2, and the Legends are currently going through "Amazing Grace" which is why they're not in here.
Plus I'm already losing track of some people (poor Max and Lucy almost got left out in some places) so that would be too much, lol. The finales will be interesting with so many people involved.
