Chapter 9

Um. . .hi.

Sorry that this took so long to get put up. I really wanted to introduce Babs to the avengers but had no idea how to do it, but I also wanted to progress the story instead of a filler. I ended up rewriting this whole chapter like 3 times. It took me a while but I finally got a good mix of both. I'm hoping to introduce more characters as I go on but I am giving a warning now. I'm not going to be introducing as many marvel as I am DC character. My reasoning is that I know DC a lot better then Marvel.  But other then that enjoy the chapter!!!!

Third Person

It was the next morning and the avengers were already out in the dinning room about to enjoy some breakfast, they we're only waiting for the boys, this did not include Peter.

"Hey Alfred are we going to have to wait for them to eat," Steve asked, it sounding polietful.

"I would rather we did Master Steve, but I'm afraid all of the young masters had a late night last night," Alfred said as he served them all breakfast drinks.

He was pouring the last drink when a girl with red hair walked into the dinning room and sat down in an empty chair never taking her eyes off her phone. It was as if she didn't even notice the guest.

"Hey Alfred is Dick up yet," the red headed girl asked him, not moving from the phone once.

"I'm afraid the young masters had a late night last night. Master Dick and Master Jason got into a fight, it led to Master Dick having a breakdown," Alfred told her truthfully as he put his silver platter in between his arms now that it was empty. "Would you care to wake them up as I set up an extra plate," he asked her as she finally looked up from her phone to give Alfred a two finger salute as she left the room to go wake up the boys.

It didn't take long before the New Yorkers heard crashes and screaming coming from the boys room and had to wonder what she did to make that happen.

Next thing they know by the time the four, now five, of them sit at the table Alfred already has her plate set up as he serves everyone food.

"Whatcha doin here Babs," Dick asked her as he sat down.

"Are you kidding me. Bruce dies, you leave off to go to New York all of the sudden, and they'res capes in Gotham. Explain to me why I shouldn't be over here trying to beat you up Pixie boots," she told him calmly as they started to eat.

"You could of texted him instead of coming over Gordon," Damian said to her with a glare.

"Yeah well that would of worked if I was actually told all of the information instead of bits and pieces. I should know when two of my friends are having a breakdown and resorting to bad habits," this was said with a glare to the two oldest batboys.

At the same time both Jason and Dick looked at each other, "You told her," they both said angrily while pointing at the other. "I didn't tell her," they both said once again before she butted in.

"I got my information from Tim after Tony told him to leave so the two could chat," she told them, giving Red Robin a nod of thanks.

"If I may. Who are you," Natasha asked her. This girl just walked in the manor as of she owns it and no one thought to tell the new people who she is.

"Barbara Gordon. I'm Commissioner Gordon of the GCPDs daughter. My father and Bruce Wayne use to work together a lot. I'm also a certified member of the Dick Grayson has a thing for red heads club," she spoke, but at the last one it seemed to be a joke.

"I do not have a thing for red heads," Dick said as he glared playfully at her.

"Wally, Roy, Kori, Babs, Megan, and Garfield would like to tell you that you do have a thing for re heads," Tim shot back at him as Bruce saw Tony smirk. "This is not going to end well," Bruce whispered to himself, but the ones with powers heard him and agreed.

"So Dick since you have a thing for red heads, let me reintroduce you to my friend Natasha Rommanoff. She was born as a red head," Tony said as Natasha got ready to kill him and by the looks of it, so did Dick.

"It doesn't matter how many people you bring up, I will still deny it," Dick said with a laugh. Tony smiled as he saw what could only be a true smile on the kids face, but he had to break it up soon. Since Tim told Barbara about Dick's breakdown the two must know about what happened, and Tony's no stranger to bring things up during meals as it's one of the best ways to ease in the tension, or at least in his opinion it is.

"Dick I hate to bring this up during breakfast," he really didn't, "but you have to tell me where you got the alcohol and why you decided to drink it in the first place," Tony told him seriously as the laughter died down.

"Truthfully. It's Gotham it really was not that hard to find a place who would sell me some strong and cheep liquor. Id's mean nothing in this city. As for why I decided to drink it, well the alternative would be worse and I'd rather be drunk the the other, my brothers and Babs will agree with me on that," Dick told him as he ate his food, the awkward silence growing.

"What Master Dick is trying to say is that during his breakdown he didn't want us to worry him so he went with the better, healthier option. Both is bad if you ask me."

"Still you boys need to come to one of us so we can help you instead of going to drugs and alcohol," Tony the two oldest as he looked up to make sure the message passed through.

"No pills either," Dick whispered. It was barely heard, but those with super hearing could hear it.

"What," Tony asked.

"No pills either. No more drugs, no more alcohol, and no more pills," Dick stood up as he said the same thing, and more even louder as he said each thing he looked to a certain brother.

"Bruce is gone and we have to accept that whether we want to or not. He's not here to glare at us when we don't approve of his ways. He's not here to make sure we memorize every plan that he has going on in his head. He's not here to force us to get into monkey suits and go to charity galas. Bruce is no longer here and we have to accept that. I no what your thinking Damian, but the answer is no your grandfather helped Jason because he was guilty. He's not going to help Bruce. We just have to accept it," Dick said his voice getting louder as he spoke.

What Dick said to Damian seemed to strike a nerve in the ten year old boy. His grandfather helped out his brother, surly he could help out his father, but Damian knew on the logical side that his fathers body was to late to be put into the pits, but his heart wanted to try to see if it could work, even when he knew it wouldn't.

"Grandfather helped Todd! Why wouldn't he help Father!" Damian stood up on the other side of the table glaring at Dick.

"And after he helped Jason it was terrible. He was gone for a year and out of control. If that happened to Bruce then he would never forgive himself," Tim yelled standing up to face Damian as well.

"Guys can we please not talk about this. We have an audience and I-," Jason trailed off, but they all understood. He didn't want a reminder of that time. It wasn't because of the killing, no he was okay with that. It was the fact that his instinct was to kill everyone he came in contact with for a month and it scared him. When he went to Bruce for help after that month and saw Tim prancing around as Robin, Jason got mad thought that Bruce had replaced him. Jason was gone for a total of a year, he let Dick know that he was alive after six months, before Bruce found out he was alive. Their was a major fight, but they made up and Jason moved back into the mansion. Not long after Damian moved in with them.

"You boys are suspicious," Natasha told them as they all sat back down and went back to being quiet.

They were all shocked by what she said, sure they weren't being careful, but they were broken birds right now and they needed help to get their wings fixed so they could fly again.

"What do you mean," Dick told her with a smile as she glared at him.

"It means that I'm done of you four being so secretive," Natasha started as Alfred picked up their plates now that dinner was over and Barbara, not wanting to get caught up in this, left. Said she'd talk to them later. "Traitor," all of the bats thought as they saw her walking out of the kitchen and heard the front door open and shut.

"What if we don't want to tell you," Tim asked her.

"I'm an assassin. I'll figure it out eventually," She told them with a glare.

"What if you don't," Jason asked her, as she realized that they were ganging up on her.

"I will," She says determined.

"I am sure that Lady Natasha along with the rest of Master Tony's team will figure out when they need to," Alfred told them, cluing them in that he knows the big secret.

"I'm going to the gym Alfie," Dick said standing up as his brothers left the table with him. "You guys can come if you want, but you shouldn't use the equipment in there if you don't know how to," Dick told them as they got up to follow the bats.

What they weren't expecting was for Dick to do a hand stand and to start walking on his hands the whole way there. "Show off," Jason said as Dick stuck his tongue out at him, never breaking his perfect form.

"Once they got to the gym Damian and Tim went to the punching bags, Jason started climbing a wall, and Dick was stretching. he only stretched for about five minutes as he went over to a  balance bar and started to practice on it.

His brothers know that Dick really wanted to be on the trapeze at the moment, but he also is a performer at heart and wanted to put on a show. To the others he looked to be doing a routine, but his brothers could recognize that cocky smirk anywhere. He's putting on a show for them. It wasn't to long before he did a flip off the beam and landed on the rings.

Once he was done with those he got a full smile on his face and his brothers had stopped what they were doing to watch him.

"Jaybird you wanta help me," Dick asked as he looked towards the ceiling.

Jason nodded his head excitedly as Dick and him went to the opposite sides of the room where the trapeze was set up and climbed up the ladder after chalking up their hands.

Jason may not be the best, but he can swing, jump from one to another, and hold on to Dick when he jumps from one to another. Dick's smirk got better when the avengers saw what he they were doing and was about to protest, but they both jumped, it didn't take long for them to freak out, especially with no net, but as the show went on they stopped being worried.

It was the end in Dick just did his family's famous move, the quadripule flip, and he and Jason got down safety as the walked towards the avengers.

"Did you guys enjoy the show. I know that Jason needs work, but as always I am absolute flawless," Dick said with confidence as Clint smirked, "You wanted us to watch you."

"Of course he did. Any chance Grayson can put on a show for people who have never seen him he will take the opportunity," Damian said as he walked over to Tim for the two to spar.

"You want us to figure out your secret," Steve said as he put the pieces together in his head.

"Your the ones who made it sound like such a fun game," Dick told them as he dragged Jason with him to watch the two youngest spar, leaving the New Yorkers in surprise.
