Chapter 17- Flashback x Basement x Secret
And also the fact that me don't want Mariall to do all the gardening by herself in the rain. I still remember what Mikey and James told me before.
Flashback
I was cooking food for dinner when Mikey and James approached me.
"I feel sorry for Master." -Mikey.
"Why?" I ask.
"Well, you see, everytime this happens, she kind of get sick. She just doesn't tell us but after like three days, she'll show a sign of sickness and we always have to take care of her. It can take her like a week to recover. Sometimes one month because she always do her mission when she receive one and it makes her even more sick." James explained.
"But this past few days before you came, she was kind of getting use to it." Mikey added.
End of Flashback
So now meh do the gardening. I don't want Mariall to be sick again like what Mikey and James told me. After I'd done the gardening, I went inside and prepared dinner. Me, Mikey and James ate.
"You know you should at least have a shower and change your clothes other wise you'll get sick." Mikey said.
"Nah, meh fine." I stated.
"By the way, Paul contacted us earlier and told us that Master found something down the basement. Paul then told me and Mikey to sneak in Dereck's house tomorrow while Dereck and Master go somewhere." James said and I was a bit shock.
Why only them? I'm also here. And where's Mariall and Dereck going?
"Meh don't do anything?" I ask and they frowned.
"We have something to tell you." Mikey said with a serious face.
Even though he's a dog, I could still tell.
"First things first, are you a member of the Phantom Troupe?" James asked and I was shocked by that.
Dang, how did they know? Now they will hate me.
Flashback
When I placed Mariall on her bed before, I left and went in the lounge. The next day I woke up early to prepare breakfast, when I heard Mariall, Mikey and James talking to each other. I quietly tip toe until I was by the door and listened to their conversation.
"Do you still hate the Phantom Troupe?" I heard Mikey asked.
Wait, did Mariall hate my group?
"Of course I do. They killed my whole clan. Why wouldn't I hate them?" Mariall answered and somehow, I felt pain in my heart.
What clan? If she hate the Spiders, then she will hate me too when she finds out that I'm one of the member of the Spiders.
"Is there somehow... you can forgive them?" This comes from James.
"No, I will never forgive them. People who's cruel and heartless like them don't deserve forgiveness. They killed my whole clan and stole the Kurta's eyes. Also the fact that they killed many innocent people too." Was Mariall's response and it made me weak.
I love her, but what will happen if she finds out that I'm one of the Spiders? She would hate me and might try to kill me. They must not find out that I'm one of the Spiders. I don't like her hating me.
End of Flashback
"Now answer our question." Mikey demanded.
"Yes. Meh part of the Phantom Troupe. H-how you know?" I ask back.
"Me and Mikey heard you calling someone on the phone. Chrollo? I think that was the name. Me and Mikey heard that your boss Chrollo will force our Master to join the Phantom Troupe."
"Ever heard of the Kurta clan?" I nodded in response.
"Our Master is one of the Kurta clan. Well, she is one of the Kurta clan. Apparently she survived because her brother Mike, saved her life."
"She was alone before but then she found us. At first she was full of hatred, hating everyone including me and James. But she still took care of us. As the time goes pass that we're with her, she began to change. She smiled more recently and even laugh which she barely did before."
"We began seeing the new Mariall which we prefers better. The old, always hatred in her heart and sad Mariall was tranformed into new, energetic, happy, caring and more smiling Mariall."
"Especially the day that she began hanging out with you." I blush at that statement.
"But you see, even though there's a lot of times had pass by, her hate and willing to avenge her clan by killing your group hasn't change yet." James pouted.
I was... speechless. So that's why every time Mariall saw spiders crawling around, her eyes turn Scarlet and kill the spiders immediately.
"Our point is..." Mikey trailed off.
"We could have told it to our Master that you're a member of the Phantom Troupe."
"But we saw that you're important to our Master's life."
"W-what do you mean?"
"You see, till the day you came and became her slave, she smiled more more often and she was happier than before."
"She doesn't care how much she spent just to buy you new clothes."
"And most of all, she look at you differently than she look at other people. Even me and my bro."
"What you mean?"
"Our point is..."
"We think that our Master likes you /We think that our Master likes you." They both said in unison.
"Here's the deal, we're not going to tell that you're a member of those Phantom Troupe as long as..."
