Mariall's POV

I was walking down the street under the rain, when something caught my eye. At the corner, I saw two puppies. I walk towards it. They were sleeping, when they suddenly woke up. Maybe because they heard my footsteps.

They both look at me and I crouch down, observing their appearances. One puppy was all white with blue eyes, and the other one was all black with light brown eyes. The black puppy growled at me while the white puppy went behind the black puppy. I'm guessing that the black puppy was older than the white puppy.

By only looking at the two puppy, memories came flooding my mind.

Flashback

"Tag! You're in big brother!" I yelled.

I was six years old that time, while my big brother Mike, was eight years old. I have three brothers. Big brother John who was twelve years old, big brother James who was ten years old and big brother Mike. I was the youngest in my family. Last name, Kurta.

I get along with big brother Mike the most. We always play games outside the house. For now, we were playing 'Tag.' Only me and big brother Mike.

"Better be fast, I'm going to tag you!" Big brother Mike exclaimed and I squealed while running away from him.

I turned to a corner, where it was dark and hid in it. I love the dark. I don't know why, but I loved the dark so much. Big brother Mike passed where I was hiding and I giggled. I then went out of my hidings and was about to run home so big brother Mike won't find me, when I suddenly bumped into someone.

I stepped backwards so I can see the person I bumped into. He wasn't alone though, he's with other four more boys. They all glared at me, then gave me a weird smile.

"I-I'm so s-sorry for bumping i-into you." I stuttered.

Something tells me that this five boys are upto no good. Still, I could take them all down easily, but my father said that I could only use my power in emergency. By the way, I could already use Nen since I was only four years old.

"I'll forgive you, if you give me a kiss." The boy with black hair, black eyes, the boy that I bumped into said.

I shook my head.

"I ain't going to kiss you." I stated and they stepped forward, making me step backwards.

Then a familiar voice spoke, making me relief.

"Leave her alone!" Big brother Mike yelled from behind the five boys.

They all turned around, revealing big brother Mike. He went pass them and stood in front of me like my bodyguard with both of his arms on his side.

"And who the heck are ya?!" One of the boy said.

"I'm your worst nightmare." Big brother Mike grolwed.

"Weaklings." The boy that I bumped into chuckled and they all continued walking towards us.

I tapped big brother Mike on his shoulder and he looked at me through his shoulder.

"Ne, big brother Mike, we should just run home." I suggested and he smiled.

"No one force my little sister to kiss them unless you wanted to." He grinned and I smiled.

I was about to say something, but the boy that I bumped into, grabbed big brother Mike at his wrist and punched him on the face. The other four boys started kicking him.

"Big brother Mike!" I screamed and the boy that I bumped into, turned around and faced me.

"Now how bout that kiss?" He ask and I clench my fist.

"Leave.my.big.brother.alone." I threatened him, which he just scoff.

"Whatcha gonna do bout it?"

I closed my eyes and opened them. I know my light brown eyes will turn into Scarlet. All of them widened their eyes and backed away.

"I said leave him alone!" This time, my voice was cold.

They back away and I step forward. Then they started running away.

"Come on! She's a monter freak!" One of the boy yelled, but I didn't care who it was.

They all run away, revealing big brother Mike on the ground with lots of bruises on his face and hand. I rush to him and crouch down to him. He sat up and I flick his forehead.

"Ouch! What was that for?" He whimpered and I glared at him.

"That is for not listening to me." I replied then hugged him.

"And this... is for trying to protect me even though you know you'll only get in trouble." I said and he hug back.

"I'll protect you no matter what, because I love you." He said and I had a little bit of tears streaming down my face.

"I love you too big brother." I sobbed.

End of Flashback

I smiled at that memory and frowned after I smiled. This two puppies reminded me of that memory. I miss everyone so much. All of the people that I'd known at Kurta clan.

I am now eleven years old. It had been five years since the incident. Phantom Troupe killed my whole clan and they'll pay for what they'd done. For now, I'm going to make myself stronger and more powerful.

I realized now why the white puppy was afraid of me and the black puppy was angry to me. My face was fully covered, my eyes was the only one revealing. I was wearinga black ninja mask and I was wearing black ninja outfit. Even a little kid would be afraid of me.
