Naruto felt all the strength in him flood out as he collapsed to the ground. Kakashi sat up quickly and lifted him up. "Naruto?"

He's back! He is alive and has his memories!

Naruto sobbed in relief. Kakashi then doubled over the fist in his gut. "Never leave me like that!" Naruto said angrily, before hugging Kakashi tightly, crying silently.

Kakashi wrapped his arms around his student. "I couldn't let you die. Now would you mind explaining why we are in the past?"

Naruto stopped crying and blushed. "I-I was upset after you d-died and used a forbidden Uzumaki Fuin-Ninjutsu to send my self back so I could change it."

Kakashi frowned under the mask. I didn't realize how much confessing would affect him. But hearing just how bad things were maybe it was a good thing I did.

"Did you mean what you said, y'know, before you d-died?"

Kakashi looked over to see that the blond had a blank face. He studied Narutos features, taking in every detail. He looked into those beautiful blue eyes, darkened by grief but lightened by happiness. He saw the hope, hope of what though? Hope that I say yes, or no? He saw the suppressed fear of rejection? He decided to test the waters.

"What I said? What do you mean?" He said confusion shining in his visible eye.

Naruto blushed to the roots of his hair. "That you, you, y'know.....love me?" The last part was whispered.

Kakashi felt his features soften. Naruto seemed to doubt it, doubt that he could be loved that way.

"Yes Naru. I meant it with every fiber of my being." He said softly.

He felt unending joy in seeing nearly all the darkness leave the blonds eyes, filled with happiness and hope. There was lingering doubt hidden around the edges though and he hated it.

"I mean it. I love you Namikaze Naruto." He said firmly and gently, so gently.

Any doubt left in Naruto seemed to vanish as he threw himself at Kakashi again.

"I-I I Love you too Hatake Kakashi."

They stood in each other's arms for a bit longer, relishing in the comfort it brought them.

Eventually though they parted, opting to lay on the bed and go to sleep, after all, they wouldn't want to keep the other two members of their team waiting, would they?

The next morning two genin stumbled out onto the field looking tired and mildly irritated. Their irritation stemmed from the fact that neither their sensei nor third teammate were anywhere in sight.

A few hours later (Read: two) Naruto and Kakashi appeared in a flash. Of yellow.

"What is that Jutsu ?" Sasuke asked.

"Your late!" Sakura shouted (Again read: screeched)

"Maa, one at a time now. That was a teleportation Jutsu. And I could have sworn I said to meet up at ten." Kakashi answered.

Both genin had tics above their brows.

Naruto was laughing his ass off in the seal.

As the two genin calmed down Sakura asked,

"Ne, Kakashi-sensei? Are we gonna learn that Jutsu?"

Kakashi adopted a confused look. "What Jutsu?"

"You know, that teleportation one." She said.

"I'm afraid you will not be learning that Jutsu Sakura. Or rather cannot learn the Jutsu." Naruto replied.

"What do you mean?" This time it was Sasuke who asked.

"It is a family Jutsu. As of now I am the only one who can use it."

"What's it called?" Sakura was concentrating piecing together certain facts she had never noticed before.

"It's called Hirashin."

Sakura gasped. "But that is one of the Yondaimes Jutsu! You would have to be his..." she trailed off he eyes widening in realization.

Sasuke just stared at Naruto. Naruto couldn't help but fidget uncomfortably under his gaze. Finally, Sasuke nodded.

"Well now that that's over with, let's get our first mission! I'm sure Tora-" Kakashi began Cheerfully, only to be stopped by the murderous gaze of his...boyfriend?

"No." Naruto growled. He hated that cat. Absolutely hated that cat. In fact he almost had an order sent out to kill it before the war.

"Ano, sensei? Who is Tora?"

"A demon!" Naruto said. Sorry Kurama but that cat is more demonic than you. He heard a growl rumble in the back of his head. That wasn't denial. All he got in response was another growl. He laughed, ignoring the questioning looks from his teammates. But of course for Kakashi,

"Nothing just was thinking to my darker half. He said something funny." He smiled like it was perfectly normal to have two personalities, and for a Shinobi it was. Too bad I don't really have two personalities. He continued walking next to Kakashi who he could tell was amused.

"Actually you do have two personalities remember? The waterfalls on Turtle island?"

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot. I have merged with that side though.

They eventually reached the tower and made their way to the mission room.

"We have painting a fence, babysitting the Hokages grandson, or catching Tora."

At the mention of Tora Naruto glowered. "Kakashi," He said sweetly. Kakashi shuddered. "Yes Naruto-kun?"

"Could we not take the Tora mission? Please?" To everyone else it sounded like an innocent question, but to Kakashi, it was a threat. "Maa, we'll take the babysitting mission."

Narutos grin stretched across his face. He would get to see Konohamaru again!

"Thanks Kashi- sensei!" He ignored the strange looks from everyone in the mission hall.

Konohamaru was one of the ninja who were still alive when Naruto came back.

They made their way to the Sarutobi compound, which was realitivly small. They knocked on the door and waited for it to be answered.

When the door opened they stared ahead, only Naruto knowing to look down. Konohamaru liked to answer the door.

"Boss!" Naruto 'oopmhed' as the young boy barreled into him.

"Hey Kono, what's up?" He asked ruffling the young boys hair

"Nuthin'! Why're ya here boss?"

Naruto rubbed the back of his head knowing Konohamaru wouldn't like this. "Ahh, me an' my team got a mission to babysit you."

"What! Boss, I don't need babysat! I'm gonna be Hokage after all!"

Naruto chuckled at his protest. "Maa, remember Kono you gotta best me before you can become Hokage. Also just bear with it, I might teach you a new Jutsu."

As predicted Konohamaru stared at Naruto with stars in his eyes. "Really boss?" He asked.

"Yep. Now is Jiji here? He wasn't at the tower."

Konohamaru ran back into the house, probably to get the Sandaime.

A minute later Naruto saw Konohamaru pulling on The Thirds robes. "C'mon old man! Naruto will watch me be awesome and tell you later!" Konohamaru shouted.

The Sandaime Chuckled. "Hello there Naruto-kun,Sasuke-kun,Sakura-Chan, Kakashi-kun. How are you this fine morning?"

All three genin adopted looks of irritation, while Kakashi eye smiled. "We're just great Hokage-sama!"

Soon enough the Third left leaving Team 7 with Konohamaru.

"Hey Kono! Wanna see one of my Jutsu? I made it!" Naruto said.

"Really boss? Show me!"

Naruto channeled his Chakra and disappeared. When he reappeared Team 7 plus Konohamaru were on their asses.

"How did you do that boss?" Konohamaru asked.

"It's called Flash Step. It grants you short bursts of speed. It is like the Shunshin, except it has a lower chakra drain."

"Cool! Teach me please!" Konohamaru begged.

"Oh, I don't know...maybe maybe not."

"Please, pretty please?"

Naruto chuckled. "Fine. Watch."

He slowly performed the seals, aware that his team was watching him too and channeled his chakra into the Jutsu. He Flash stepped five feet away. "It works better if you chain it together. Instead of using the Jutsu once and going a mile, use it multiple times and you will go faster."

Konohamaru tried it and failed. After a few more tries he managed to move a little over two feet. He started chaining them together going two feet per Step. Soon though, he stopped, exhausted.

He leaned against Naruto and drank some water.

"Wow boss that was awesome!" He said.

Naruto chuckled." Yes it is. Now why don't you rest for a bit okay?"

Konohamaru looked ready to protest but yawned and felt his eyelids droop. Soon enough he fell asleep.

Naruto smiled fondly at the young boy and picked him up. He started walking towards the Sarutobi home while saying over his shoulder, "I am taking Kono home. I will leave a clone there with him for his mother will be home shortly."

He heard Kakashi tell them to keep practicing Flash Step while he went with Naruto. He heard as the Jounin caught up.

"You know you did not need to do that right?" He said.

"Maa, but I wouldn't want to leave my cute little Naru-Chan to walk his sleeping client home all alone now would I?"

Naruto rolled his eyes and kept on walking. They walked in content silence, enjoying the others presence.

Finally Naruto spoke up. "I'm glad that your here Kashi, I mean you not the past you. No offense but you are too smart for your own good."

Kakashi smiled. "I'm glad too, I was prepared to die and stay dead, when I sacrificed myself for you. This is our second chance."

Naruto smiled softly. "Hai. We will fix what went wrong."

Kakashi nodded firmly. "No matter what."

They walked the rest of the way in silence, dropping Konohamaru off at home and making their way back to the other members of team seven.
