Hamilton took in a deep breath before opening the door to his house. Laurens forcing him to go to bed early the previous night seemed to actually have been beneficial as he was fully functioning properly. Functioning enough to be nervous as hell.

He walked inside, looking around until he made his way to the living room where Eliza was seated on the couch. She stared up at him with a blank expression and patted the spot next to her. "Sit."

Swallowing nervously, Hamilton nodded and sat next to his wife. She let out a long breath before speaking.

"Alexander... how the fuck did you think that was a good idea?"

"I... I don't know, I thought it'd be easier than talking to you, I guess." Hamilton replied hesitantly. "But it was a mistake... and I'm sorry. For everything."

"You mean it?" Eliza wiped her eyes before looking back into his.

"Of course. I love you Eliza, and it was wrong of me not to come to you first." Hamilton said.

Eliza wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. "That's all I wanted to hear...."

Hamilton hugged back, and when they separated, a sudden realization came to him and he gave her a confused look. "Wait, you don't seem mad about the whole cheating thing."

"Alex. I tried to pressure you into dating John before we got together." Eliza said plainly, "I've always shipped it. My only problem is you didn't tell me, but feel free to go after your gay desires. I'm a hardcore fujoshi."

Hamilton took a second to process that. "Seriously?"

"Seriously." Eliza giggled a bit. "John's a sweet guy, I'm willing to share with him."

Alexander sparkled in happiness. "You really are the best wife ever."
