***********
Both the Professors ran down the hall wanting to reach the hospital wing as fast as possible. The emerald eyed wizard was carrying the unconscious witch in his arms. He was looking down at her from time to time almost making sure she was still alive.
The potions master however was more focused on getting the witch to the hospital and would often glare at the wizard when he pauses to check for her breathing.
Half an hour later, they finally arrived at the hospital wing. David set Florina down on the closest bed and sat beside her.
A few minutes later, the medi-witch, Pomfrey arrived carrying an empty tray and a handful of gauze. She stopped in her tracks when she spotted the two wizard and raised a brow.
"Is there anything I can help you with Professors at such a late hour?" she spoke calmly.
David stepped forward nodding, "Yes, Poppy. We apologize for showing up like that but we are hoping you could help her."
"Help who?"
The emerald eyed wizard sighed, "Florina Woods. We found her in the forbidden forest in a horrible state. She seemed to have been beaten by someone..." David added in a murmur "Or something."
The witch gasped when she got closer to the bed that Florina was in. She silently nodded at David and softly moved the witch's hair away from her face to get a better view.
Severus – the potions master – was silent the entire time watching the medi-witch's every move. To any outside observer, he seemed to be indifferent.
However, he was concerned for the witch and silently vowed that he would murder the culprit who did that to her. All his emotions of anger and rage were bottled up inside of him and hidden behind his "cold indifferent" mask.
The onyx eyed wizard subtly turned to his look alike to find him trying to hide the anger that was rising within him but failing miserably. David couldn't forgive himself in fact.
I should have went with her, he thought angrily, I know Snape said that he trusts the ghost... but I don't. Maybe if I insisted on going with her, none of this would have happened.
A few silent minutes passed with both the wizards watching Poppy do her thorough examination, shaking her head and tutting whenever she finds another bruise on the witch's body.
When she was done, she looked up at the impatient wizards with a sad look on her face.
She was staring back at them silently making them more concerned. David finally shot, "What is it Poppy? What's wrong with her?"
The witch looked down at Florina extreme sadness on her face. "Florina's arms and legs suffered from fractures that my potions alone cannot fully heal unfortunately. As for the bruises on her face and – her entire body as a matter of fact – they were due to her trying to escape from something but constantly being pinned down."
"Escape from something?" Severus murmured masking his shocked expression.
He had a hunch but was hoping he was wrong. Either way he decided to not say what he thought out loud to not worry David, who was already worried.
Poppy heard him and nodded however.
She took a deep breath and faced them "She wasn't beaten Professors. I am deeply sad to say but they tried to rape her."
"What?!" Both the wizards shouted in unison unable to stop themselves.
Severus cursed under his breath, I knew it!
The potions master got up at once, "What do you mean 'they' Poppy?"
She sighed "All those bruises couldn't have been done by just one person. And honestly I don't think it was a human who could have done all that alone. As you see here," she pointed at Florina's arm "those bruises almost reached her bones causing them to fracture. The same thing with her legs."
The witch went to her medicine cabinet and took an ointment. She proceeded to rub it on Florina's face slowly making sure to avoid applying pressure.
As she did so, she asked the wizards, "How did you find her?"
Neither of the wizards spoke right away, their tongues were tied from the shock.
After a while, David cleared his throat and said, "We found her lying on the ground in a fetal position..." he paused deep in thought "Now that I think about it, perhaps she was in that position to protect herself from her attackers."
Poppy faced him and nodded, "That is likely possible yes. One thing that is clear however, she fought them off strongly which resulted in them getting more violent with her."
David's face was red from anger. He spoke in a whisper scared of the answer.
"Were they...were they successful? Did they..." he couldn't complete his sentence and lowered his head to hide the tears in his eyes.
Poppy understood what he was trying to ask however and she shook her head giving him a sad smile. David sighed in relief and got closer to the unconscious witch on the bed holding her hand.

Rose dodged another thick branch as she zoomed as fast as possible through the forbidden forest.
"I can still reach her," she kept whispering to herself "It takes time for Lucifer to... he cannot do it to her just yet."
When she entered the clear land she saw in her vision, she stopped herself abruptly. It was exactly as she saw, a huge empty circle of land that contained no life within it.
However one thing was missing, the terrified witch that laid in the center of that circle. But she wasn't the only one who wasn't there, the two demons along with their overlord was also nowhere to be seen.
The fairy's heart skipped a beat. She swallowed hard as she cautiously stepped closer to the place that Florina was previously on. Rose noticed a few drops of blood on the ground smudged within the sandy ground.
The fairy slumped on the ground defeated palming the bloody sand in sadness. "He already did it," she whispered to herself "the deed is done. The cursing ritual happened and I wasn't even there beside her to support her."
Rose couldn't do anything except to cry silently wishing she could have saved her carrier. Slowly, she began to feel her blood boiling and her skin started to turn yellowish red. Her eyes bulged out of their sockets turning blood red instead of the caramel hazel that graced her orbs.
"No Rose, don't turn just yet!" she exclaimed trying to calm down the burning inferno within her.
Her subconscious however responded, "You were late Rosaline! You could have saved her. You could have stopped him. You are always late!"
The fairy felt her body doubling in size and her wings turning ashy black instead of their mildly attractive ashy silver. Her hands and legs swelled up to the size of beach balls. The beautiful features that she took from her carrier were morphed into an ugly hideous beast.
She turned to an Irasane.
Breathing heavily, fear and anger were both morphed within the fairy. She wasn't just feeling a singular emotion – which was anger – but she also felt extreme guilt for her carrier and fear of not being able to turn back to her original self.
After a few minutes of the fairy stuck in the hideous body of Irasane, the feeling of guilt and only guilt began soring over her. She wasn't feeling angry anymore and thus she began to turn to her original self.
The transformation back to a human was extremely painful but the fairy didn't feel any pain. Only one feeling invaded her heart. Guilt. When she turned to her human self, she slowly got up and palmed the Burnette hair that cascaded down her face.
"I don't deserve to look like you Florina," she whispered to herself tears filling her eyes "I don't deserve to have those luscious locks nor those shimmering blue eyes. What's the point of looking like you if I can't even protect you?"
She turned to look at her wings that returned back to its ashy silver self. Testing her wings once, she rose slowly from the ground and left the clearing going back to the forest.
Passing by a thick group of trees, she noticed a dim glistening light out of the corner of her eye. Turning to it, she noticed it was zooming away from her and towards the castle.
"That cannot be a fairy," she whispered to herself as she picked up speed to follow it.
"Could it be?"
When she reached her maximum speed, she began to get closer to the flying being trying her best to get a good look. Surely enough, it was a glistening ghost wearing dirty ragged clothes and a torn up wizard hat.
She smiled in relief and exclaimed, "Davies!"
The glistening ghost immediately stopped not giving the fairy enough room for her to halt too. She didn't expect him to stop so abruptly and she collided into him making them both fall into the ground.
The fairy was the one to recover quicker from the fall. Once she was on her feet, she extended a hand to the ghost who was busy adjusting his hat and clothes. He took it gladly.
"Davies," Rose began breathless "Where is Florina? Did Lucifer... did he do it?"
"Do what... Oh, did he finalize the curse on her?"
Rose nodded. "I am sorry my dear friend, but yes he did. He performed the entire ritual unfortunately."
"Don't be sorry Davies. We knew it was going to happen eventually, I just wished I was there with her when it happened. To... to comfort her."
Rose patted the ghost's shoulder as he shook his head. "No Prim, I should have been with her too but I... he... he sent me back to my cave. She was all alone. He wanted her to be alone to feed off her fear."
Rose's eyes widened in shock. Her arm automatically fell to her side as she observed the ghost wallowing in self sadness. Both the magical beings stayed silent for a long time as neither had the courage to speak.
After a while, Rose whispered, "So what happens now?"
Davies was looking down at her feet andshrugged, "I guess we will know when she wakes up."
