Chapter Eight

All was normal, or relatively normal, after that dreadful night. A couple weeks later, Lui was able to finally get that God forsaken cast off, which thrilled him to no end. Gabe was surprised though, the night after their fight, Lui hadn't went out to train. He wasn't complaining though because that left time for his cuts and bruises to heal better. By the time Lui was able to get his cast off, his wounds were all basically healed so that means he's able to train without the pain.

However, unfortunately, almost a month after that God forsaken night, Lui had gotten terribly sick. It started as small body pains that faded after a week, but that was the beginning. After that, he started throwing up mostly after eating and kept getting terrible headaches. Gabe kept trying to convince him to go to the doctor's, but Lui kept saying no. He's never liked doctors, and he never will. The small Spin Emperor even managed his way through school even if there were times when he feels sick and ends up running from the class just to throw up in the bathroom.

What Gabe doesn't know though is that when Lui was getting dressed after a shower, he caught a look of himself on the mirror. Before getting on his shirt on, he ran his fingers over his scars and turned to the side to observe the others but found something a little more strange. Lui is a naturally skinny and healthy high schooler, he works out and he normally eats healthy, so why was he suddenly getting a bit fat? In all honesty actually, Lui has noticed he's been eating more than he normally does which was rather weird. But, nevertheless, now that he knows what the problem, he can fix it. Right?

~~~
Wrong.
Lui thought it was going to be easy, but it wasn't. No. He cut back on eating even if his stomach begs to differ and growls at him. He let this go on for three weeks but found that he was still gaining weight. He trained himself until he about passed out, he starves himself to the point it makes him dizzy and almost collapse. Gabe and his parents are all starting to worry about him. They did try confronting him, but Lui's emotions have been stretched thin throughout the time too, his anger through the roof. So you can see how that went.
The smaller blader laid on his side on his and Gabe's bed and stared blankly at the wall, his violet eyes tired and dull. He felt like shit both physically and mentally, but seriously felt something was wrong. He doesn't know what, but he definitely knew something was wrong. He sat up and started unbuttoning his teal shirt for fourth time that week to look at himself. Gabe was out with Rideout for some sort of training thing, something he really didn't want to be a part of. He looked into the body mirror his boyfriend has always had and frowned, running his fingers along his now protruding stomach.
           "This has gone on long enough..." Lui growled to himself as he buttoned his shirt back up, walking from the room with a newfound stride despite his exhaustion. Slipping his boots on quickly, the baby blue-haired male walked out of the house and down the sidewalk. It goes his hatred but it was about time to go and see a doctor, see what they could tell him.
He found a walk-in clinic about a fifteen minute walk from home and walked in, quickly setting up an appointment and filling out designated paperwork before the wait for the doctor began. It wasn't long since the waiting room was rather empty save a couple other people that were there. The nurse that called his name brought him back to where they do the vitals, height, weight, all that. Lui, his short self, rolled his eyes at his height but frowned, finding his weight annoying as the nurse led him to a exam room.
          "The doctor will be right in dear." She had told him sweetly, disappearing behind the door as she closed it. Lui swung his legs slightly and fumbled with his hands, staring down at the thing that upset him the most. His weight really pissed him off at the moment considering he had gained close to 25 pounds despite everything. Hopefully the damn doctor could tell him what was wrong.
A knock sounded on the door and a man walked in wearing a lab coat and carrying the familiar clipboard the nurse held.
           "Hello there, I'm Doctor Flanniger." The man introduced, holding out his hand to him. Lui looked up and sighed, shaking his hand slightly.
           "Lui..." He said softly, slight hostility in his voice as his hands rested against his legs.
           "Alright, so what brings you in today son? Your symptoms list was a little vague." The doctor asked, sitting in the chair in the room after getting gloves on.
           "I'm having weight issues. No matter what I do, whether its training or cutting back with eating, I'm still gaining weight. I don't know what I'm doing wrong." Lui explained to him, sitting up straight and lifting his shirt up to show the doctor his bump of a stomach. Flanniger hummed softly in thought as he rolled over that way, laying his hands carefully on his stomach and pressing in certain areas.
           "Has it just been weight gain, or were there things before this?"
           "Body pains, throwing up, and headaches. Bad ones." Lui told him, wincing softly when he pressed a still tender bruise.
           "Hm, well that all seems perfectly normal, especially for someone in the middle of the first trimester." The doctor explained, looking at him.
           "First trimester? What the hell does that mean?" Lui asked, the confusion clear in his eyes.
           "What that means is that you're pregnant."
~~~

Lui's heart about dropped when the doctor said 'pregnant'. But he didn't believe him.

The doctor ended up making him take a pregnancy test to prove his diagnosis. And, sure enough, the test was positive, which made his stomach completely drop. He was in complete shock and actually broke down into tears after the doctor walked out of room. Scrambled emotions or not, it still takes a lot to make Lui cry. And this was definitely one reason. The walk home was unbearable mostly because Gabe most likely was back and waiting for him. Oh God, how was he supposed to tell him about all this? He's definitely going to be pissed about this, Lui kept thinking as he walked, his small hands clutching teal fabric. Dread filled his thoughts as he walked up the front steps and opened the door, stepping inside and closing it again.

Sure enough, Gabe was back home, smiling at his smaller partner from the couch before he stood.
            "Hey there love. Where did you go?" He asked kindly, walking over and pecking his lips. Lui looked away almost immediately after they pulled away and slipped his boots off, attempting to brush past Gabe to go and hide away in their room. All hope was lost after Gabe gently grabbed his wrist, holding him there. "Hey, what's the matter?" He asked, making Lui flinch.
           "Please let me go..." Lui spoke quietly, making Gabe blink. In the almost eight he's dated Lui, that was the first time he's heard him say please.
           "Baby, I just want to know what's got you upset? Where did you go? I was surprised not to find you home at this time..."

Trapped, Lui thought, biting his lip anxiously. God, he's never felt so God damn scared before, tears started to fill his eyes. The small Spin Emperor took in a deep breath and looked up at him, standing his ground.
           "Gabe, I'm pregnant." Lui told him, managing to keep his voice from quivering as a look of shock painted over Gabe's features.
