Chapter 33~ Carmen

Carmen was in his work uniform, and Osmond looking at him as if he wanted to eat him. It wasn't much, just a dark shirt with a logo and black pants, but still, Osmond seemed to get distracted by it every three minutes and would stop listening. "Hey!" Carmen said again, snapping his fingers in front of Osmond's face. "I'm talking to you".

A sheepish grin stretched across Osmond's face as his eyes ran over his body slowly. When he met his eyes, he said, "your pants are really tight," and Carmen rolled his eyes into his head.

"This store is about to be filled with children, and you're looking at me like you want to fuck me on the desk," Carmen said, and Osmond's eyebrows short up.

"Is there any way we can have that arranged some time?" He asked, and Carmen sighed.

"Don't know. I hope so". He then closed his eyes and leaned forward to press his face into Osmond's shoulder.

Today was the children's piano clinic at work, and he had brought Osmond in. Naturally he'd chosen Osmond, his boyfriend and piano prodigy, to help teach. He was both excited and nervous for what came next. Excited to see his mega attractive boyfriend interact with children, and nervous to see his somewhat jealous boyfriend interact with none other than Jordan Sullivan, who was thankfully late at the moment.

"Hey," Osmond said, running a hand down Carmen's spine, "it's gonna be great. I'll be the perfect gentleman. I won't even tell him that you once screamed his name during sex".

Carmen pulled back quickly and punched Osmond's chest. "That was an accident," Carmen reminded and Osmond smiled down at him. "Osmond, it was an accident. I didn't mean it. You know that, right? Why would I need to think about anyone else when I have yo-"

Osmond cut him off by leaning forward and connecting their lips. Carmen braced himself on the checkout counter between them, pressing up to get closer to his boyfriend.

"How did I get so fucking lucky," Osmond asked, pulling back and cupping Carmen's jaw. "I have a beautiful boyfriend who my friends, and my aunt, and I love, and he loves me back, and-"

Carmen grasped the front of Osmond's shirt, forcing their mouths together once more and Osmond laughed but complied, his mouth eagerly parting Carmen's.

Their kiss was like fire. Like burning passion and wanting. It had been forever since they had sex, not since their trip, and Carmen had only had two orgasms since that, both of which occurred the night they went out to dinner with Ezra and Adrian two weeks ago.

"I've got to get in your pants," Carmen groaned against Osmond's mouth and the other grunted in agreement before greedily sucking on his tongue.

"So this is why you canceled our date, huh?" A masculine voice asked and Carmen hastily stepped away from Osmond, panting heavily and turning to the front of the store where Jordan Sullivan and another very familiar boy were standing. One of them was grinning at him, and the other looked a bit troubled with the situation.

The grinning one walked over to Osmond and extended his hand. "Hello there. I'm Jordan Sullivan".

Osmond looked him up and down for a moment, taking in his dark brown hair and bright green eyes last before shaking his hand. "Osmond Daily". He used his mother's last name more commonly than his father's these days.

Jordan repeated the name before turning to Carmen and ruffling his hair. "I can't believe Bambi found a tall handsome man," he exclaimed, though he sounded rather superficial. Carmen rolled his eyes, dodging his hand. "Don't you agree, babe". This was addressed to the other boy who was still standing in the doorway, and Carmen would have recognized him anywhere.

Medium brown hair that curled, piercing blue eyes. Carter Vanroy.

Osmond raised his eyebrows at Carmen, most likely at Jordan's use of the nickname babe, and Carmen just shook his head.

"Sorry," Carter said, suddenly grinning. "Still don't like dick".

"You keep telling yourself that, sweetie". Jordan looked back to Osmond and Carmen before addressing the shorter one. "You remember Carter, of course," and then it Osmond, "but you wouldn't. Osmond Daily, meet Carter Vanroy. He's the best setter on our volleyball team".

"You play volleyball?" Osmond asked in monotone and Jordan looked back to Carter, smiling at his best friend.

"And you you play the piano," Jordan said absently before he began to move towards Carter, who had yet to move from his original place in front of the door. "Hey sexy, wanna help me move all the electronic pianos out into the-"

"Oh, we already did that," Carmen cut in and Jordan raised his eyebrows.

"I thought you weren't strong enough to do that," he pointed out and Carmen flushed red but gestured at Osmond.

"Maybe, but he isn't". Osmond smiled at Carmen, his eyes crinkling adorably and Jordan looked rather irritated for a moment as he look at Osmond's arms.

"Alright". It was uncomfortably quiet, and Carmen couldn't help but notice how tense both Jordan and Osmond were as they stood side by side and looked down at him.

Looking for help, Carmen causally shifted his eyes to Carter, who immediately got the message and opened his mouth to speak. "Yeah, so aren't we supposed to open soon? I feel like teaching some little people how to play the piano".

Osmond looked intrigued. "You play?"

Carter opened his mouth to respond, but Jordan spoke first, his voice not as enthusiastic as it usually was. "Like, hot cross buns and a c scale".

Carter looked alarmed at his best friend's tone, but didn't say anything about it. Carmen sighed, wondering if any of this was a good idea.

***

Carmen had been right to be excited. Osmond and little kids were adorable together, and just watching it made him fall more in love. He had known that Osmond wanted kids, further on in life, but for some reason he hadn't been able to picture the man with children.

Until now.

Osmond was kneeling on the floor so he was eye level with a little girl who was talking to him with the enthusiasm that only a seven year old can manage. Carmen wondered what they were talking about, but figured out pretty damn quickly as Osmond dropped to the ground in front of a piano and folded his legs pretzel.

She watched him with curious brown eyes, and then beamed as she recognized the opening notes of happy birthday, played fancily by Carmen's boyfriend, though this was unsurprising.

"You're in love with him". Carmen turned to Jordan, who was watching him with sad eyes.

"I love him," he repeated, looking at the beautiful boy he had once loved for a second longer before bringing his eyes back to the man he now considered to be the love of his life. "He makes me better".

"And happy?" Jordan asked, the indistinguishable sound of hope in his voice.

"Are you hoping I'll say yes, or no?" Carmen asked, and Jordan chuckled.

"See, it's when you say things like that that I'm led to believe that we belong together". Carmen dropped his eyes from Osmond and turned his head, but he still didn't look at Jordan.

"So you want me to say no," Carmen said, though already knew the answer. "And that's how I know that we don't belong together".

"Carmen," Jordan said, his voice shaking. "I love you".

Carmen's breath caught in his throat at the words he had longed to hear for so long, but they didn't have the effect he had always thought they would. "You know, if you had said those words to me before I left, everything would have been different. If you said them to me then I would have said them back, and we would be together right now".

"I should have told you-"

"No you shouldn't have," Carmen cut in, speaking louder than he intended. He looked up and glanced around to see if anyone had noticed, but they were all still absorbed in the pianos, or more specifically, piano, singular, which happened to be the one Osmond was playing. Carmen could hear his boyfriend saying:

"Alright, one more and then we have to go back to learning," and Carmen noticed Carter across the room, watching Osmond with careful eyes that quickly flickered over to Carmen and Jordan.

"You shouldn't have told me that you loved me, because it's a lie. You don't love me. You may think you do, but what you feel for me isn't love. If you loved me, you'd be happy for me right now. You'd see me be happy with someone else, and that would be enough for you because I was happy. It would hurt you, but you'd get some satisfaction from this".

"Carmen-"

"You're going to fall in love, Jordan". Carmen looked at the other then, only to find him staring absently across the room at Carter, who was once again listening to Osmond's piano playing. "Sooner than you may think".

"Alright," Jordan said, though he didn't seem pleased. He turned to Carmen then, opening his arms. "Thank you for everything Carmen. I've learned an important life lesson from you".

Carmen accepted the hug, turning his face away from Jordan's face against his arm. When he opened his eyes, Osmond was looking at them with a pained expression on his face, but Carmen wasn't worried. Just as Osmond had done when Carmen was jealous of Adrian, he would explain later. "What lesson is that?"

"To act before it's too late". Jordan released him then and moved away quickly, and a second later his spot was taken by Osmond.

"What was that?" Osmond asked, his voice a little nervous.

"That was me telling another man that I'm in love with you, that's what that was," Carmen said, smiling up at his boyfriend and slipping his hands into his. Osmond visibly relaxed and squeezed his hands tightly.

"He knows that you love me?" Osmond sounded incredibly happy with this and Carmen laughed.

"He does. I'm sure everyone here does. It's kind of hard to hide it while I'm over here ogling you the entire time you interact with children. It's kind of sexy," Carmen added and Osmond laughed loudly.

"Really now?" Carmen nodded but his breath caught in his throat as Osmond subtly ran his hand over Carmen's ass, groping it quickly and muttering, "I'll show you sexy," tauntingly in his ear before moving away quickly to go back to the waiting children.

Carmen, with his breath caught in his throat, watched the man he loved, and was more sure than he'd ever been of the fact that he has made the right choice.

"We can finish cleaning up if you guys want to head out," Carmen offered, looking around the room which was now empty save for the four of them. Osmond nodded in response to this but didn't pause in his cleaning to look up.

Jordan had just finished vacuuming the carpeted floor and the sound of the machine still rung in his ears.

"Are you sure?" Carter asked, tapping his foot as if he was impatient to leave. This gesture rather excited Carmen, for he thought it meant they'd actually pull this off.

They being him and Osmond, and this being fucking on the checkout counter.

"Yeah," Carmen said, ducking his head to chew on his lower lip. "We're almost done here anyway, and Oz and I have nothing left to do tonight". Or we won't if you don't leave.

Carter seemed to sense that there was something going on, because he studied Carmen with very narrowed eyes for a moment before sighing and saying, "yeah. Okay. Thanks a lot you guys. Jordan, you ready to go?"

"Sure thing, sugar," the green eyed boy said, carefully sliding the vacuum into the utility closet and closing the door before it could fall out again. Carmen made a mental note to himself to be careful when opening the door next. "I'll see you later, Carmen". It was obvious that Jordan purposely wasn't saying goodbye to Osmond, but the tallest boy didn't seem to notice, already distracted by a piano in the far corner of the room.

"Yeah, later you guys". This was Carter, and Carmen turned to wave at him, only to find him once again watching Osmond with unreadable eyes.

That's strange.

They left, and Osmond's piano music abruptly stopped. Carmen didn't move from his place behind the desk, looking at the door that Jordan and Carter had just disappeared from.

An arm slipped around his waist and warm lips pressed into his neck. While he wanted to simply succumb to the undeniable pleasure of it all, there was one last thing that needed to be done.

"Wait". Osmond's lips paused. "I just need to flip the open sign to closed and lock the door". He thought of how lucky they were that all the security cameras were outside, fore he had no clue as to how to deactivate them.

As Carmen did as he said, Osmond spoke. "How sure are we that Carter's not gay?"

Carmen's hand paused on the lock, but he turned it a second later. "Pretty damn, I'd say. Why?"

"Because he spent the whole day staring at me, that's why," Osmond said, and when Carmen turned back to him, Osmond was sitting on the counter with his long fingers held out ahead of him for examination.

Carmen briefly thought of the look Carter had on his face as he examined at Osmond before they left, but dismissed it with a shake of his head. Instead he jokingly said, "should I be worried?" And Osmond snorted.

"Oh yeah, most definitely". Carmen rounded the desk and stood in front of Osmond, crossing his arms. "You should be super jealous".

"Really now?" Carmen taunted, though his voice caught when Osmond slowly ran a hand up the inside of his thigh.

"Oh yeah". Osmond grinned at him then and Carmen laughed and shook his head. "No".

"No?"

Osmond nodded. "No". Carmen frowned in confusion and slid his arms around Osmond neck, pulling him down until they were almost at eye level. "You never have to be jealous of anyone ever".

"Oh?" Carmen asked and Osmond nodded. "Why's that?"

"Because compared to you, no one even stands a chance". Carmen grinned at the warm feeling that spread throughout his chest and finished pulling Osmond the rest of the way down until their lips met.

There was no more talking, but nothing else needed to be said.
