Do I, Do I Not?

Angelo gulped hard as he looked at the two large men that stood behind Anna with their eyes focused on him. He slowly lowered his gaze to their wrists.

Atians.

Of course they were her own people. He turned to the skinny man in a cheap suit seating close to her. He had the weirdest face Angelo had ever seen and he didn't make it look better by smiling. He had his eyes focused into the large book in front of him.

Atian too
Angelo noticed the bracelet on his hand as well.

"You really need to stop admiring my lawyer Mr Trusk."
Angelo moved his gaze to Anna. She had a tiny smile on her face.

"Miss Storm," Bernard called. Anna slowly turned to look at him. "I hate to ask but are the bodyguards really necessary?"

"Of course they are." Anna said. "You don't know when and who you might need protection from these days." She clicked her tongue. "Atian instincts."

She turned to Angelo. He rolled his eyes.

"Can we just get this over with?" Angelo whispered to Bernard.

"Of course." Bernard whispered. He leaned towards Anna and her lawyer.

"Miss Storm, we are going to keep this as direct and short as possible so as not to take your time." Anna bent her head over in agreement.

"Or mine." Angelo added.

"Of course." Bernard said in agreement, turning halfway to look at Angelo. He turned back to Anna.

"Miss Storm, we both know you have no idea how to run a company. Especially one as large as Trusk industries. One wrong move and you could ruin everything the Trusk family has worked so hard for."

Anna frowned as she listened carefully.

"And we also know you're yet to gain the support and approval of the board because of-" he looked at Anna, he had to make sure his next choice of words weren't going to be offensive. She rose a brow at him.

"Because of what you are."

"And I assume you want me to hand the company over to Mr Trusk here?" Anna looked at Angelo.

"Mr Trusk has had experience in the past. He has a good degree in business administration and economics, first class. He also has an equivalent masters degree in international relations which is the kind of spirit and push Trusk industry needs. Moreover, he is a Trusk."

Anna looked at Angelo. He bent his head a little with a smirk on his face.

Anna scoffed.

"So what are you suggesting? "They all turned to Anna's lawyer.

"Well, we think it'd be safer for Trusk industries to stay within the family's name. If Miss Storm was to somehow retain the Trusk last name, the board could consider letting her be in charge. "

"Are you suggesting a marriage?" Her lawyer asked.

"That seems to be the easiest option we have so far."

"You think my client would want to get married to a Trusk? And not just any Trusk but the most ignorant among them? Michael Trusk? May I remind you that Mr Micheal Trusk and my client do not get along well. "

"I'm not talking about Michael, Attorney-" Bernard paused, hoping her lawyer could say his name.

"Shink." The lawyer said. "Attorney Shink."
Angelo chuckled. They all turned to look at him.

"Oh I'm sorry, I just didn't know -" He looked at the man. Shink rose a brow. Angelo swallowed hard. "Never mind." He looked away.

"O-kay," Bernard said in disbelief. "Angelo here is willing to get married to Miss Storm-"

"Willing?" Anna asked. "More like pretty determined to do anything just to have the company all to himself."
Angelo scoffed.

"You have no idea."

"Suprise me." Anna told him.

"Oh yeah?" Shink asked. "And why would Mr Trusk here be so 'willing' to do that? What's in it for him?"

"All you have to do is make Angelo here the assistant CEO of Trusk industries and put him on the board."

"That's too much to ask don't you think Attorney?" Shink asked him. "From the way I see it, you're the one asking for our help. You need us more than we need you."

"I think we need each other here Attorney. The board would feel safer if a Trusk was on it and was also the assistant CEO. The board has the right to vote Miss Storm out and vote someone else in. Someone from the board. This is the only way both parties can get what they want. Can get to keep the company. "

Anna didn't take the wry smile on her face off. Angelo watched her closely as she leaned closer to her lawyer. He watched her whisper something into his ears.

'Disagree.' Angelo prayed in his heart. 'Please say no.'

This was the only way Angelo could get away from this... if Anna disagreed. If she disagreed then it was not going to he his fault anymore. It was his way out. The only reason he agreed to this in the first place. He shut his eyes, praying harder.

Shink exhaled and Angelo's eyes popped open. Angelo watched Shink widen his eyes in surprise at whatever Anna had said before he slowly turned to them.

"Miss Storm has agreed to your terms."

"What?!" Angelo yelled. He looked at them in disbelief. How in earth did she just say yes all of a sudden without asking for some time to think it through? Everyone was taken aback.

"Why?" He asked her.

"Excuse me?" Anna asked him.
Angelo could feel Bernard pull his hand.

"I think what my client meant to ask was when?" Bernard asked.

"I'm fine with whenever." Anna said. "Let's just get this done with. I have a company to run."

"I'd suggest it should be done as soon as possible." Shink said. "We should fix it for Thursday."

"Thursday?" Angelo asked. "That's two days from now."

"The earlier the better."  Why were they so much in a hurry?

"I think we should give Angelo some more time to tighten lose ends. Saturday should be nice." Bernard said.

Anna rolled her eyes.

Angelo could feel how hot the room Was all of a sudden. He really wanted to take off his jacket. What just happened?

He asked himself..

There was one thing he knew for sure.
He was doomed. This was trouble.
Big trouble.

He looked at Anna. She rose her brows and smiled.

"Nice doing business with you Angelo."
