CHAPTER 20
It's the last chapter, guys! *teary eyes* Many thanks to Digila-san for inspiring to me write a certain scene in this chapter *smirk* Sorry for my terrible English and writing ;)
CHAPTER 20
Unlike his usual dream which always started with a boy crying alone either in a certain orphanage or in the same park, this one was different.
The utter sadness that he had felt which he had gladly accepted since the all the boy's suffering were caused by him... it was immediately lifted by the sudden but soft-like-silk love and warmth that not just anyone could offer.
He might stand on the same spot, unable to move his legs nor his mouth to take action but he was relieved to see another figure in his dream.
It was a girl in her 20s, seemed to look around the park in confusion.
'Where am I' was most probably what she had in her mind at that time. Not even single soul was breathing in the distant space other than herself. Despite how friendly the overall surrounding with the mild sunshine stretching its shape through her face, the girl did not bother to cast how anxious she felt. It was as if she was swallowed into a hole of this so-called wonderland and she was the only single soul who lived here
This situation was creepy. It was all written on her cute face.
"Where is Otoya-kun?" She muttered, fists balled and one could tell that her small frame was quivering. After her eyes failed to spot any sign of the person whose name was mentioned, she reached her side probably for her handbag but she was left shocked again when she did not have her belongings with her. Seconds, minutes passed and after recovering from her devastation, she made her way in a straight line, probably to find someone or something to help her out.
Just like the boy, she did not notice him. Him; the one who caused this dream.
She sighed in relief as she finally encountered another soul apart from her in the park. It was a small boy with red hair, sitting alone on a bench.
But for the man who could only be a witness, Saotome thought that this sight was lovely but unbearable because he knew what kind of future would wait for the two pure souls.
All this time, his dream would be poignant especially when he was extremely tired from his packed schedule. Being a legendary idol who owned a gigantic company which guaranteed successful idols every year, his life was nowhere normal. He had a face to keep. He had a reputation to bring to his grave. People were inspired by him so he lived the life that they wanted.
That was the life that he believed he had to live in until he was dead. Someone had to do it which was him even it cost him everything.
He prioritized what they wanted over his beloved woman's. He was Shining Saotome; the epitome of idol world who had to live as an idol who only knew how to make people happy with his look, talent, songs, movies, money and charm.
His life was nowhere ordinary and there was no way he would drag anyone else to jump into that kind of hellish pit like him.
For example, the red-haired boy who was always crying whenever he appeared in his dream. He was always sitting in the same spot in the park. In each dream, he wanted to be the one who wiped all the tears that streamed down the boy's face even he always brushed off or avoided the boy in their harsh reality.
His arms wanted to envelope the boy with the suppressed love that threatened to explode and tell to every person in the world what exactly he had felt. His mouth wanted to say 'I love you', 'I care about you,' 'I don't want to see you cry ever again' and so many feelings but his frame was always useless. In his dream, it could not do anything.
It felt like this dream had sent him a message while being as malicious as possible.
'How does it feel? You want to comfort him but all you're able to do is watching him without doing anything. Is that pathetic? Well, that's what you always do so this situation doesn't feel that different to you, right?'
He was sure that was what the dream wanted him to know.
It was impossible for him to treat the boy with care in the real world so in his dream, where no one would expect him to be an inspiring figure in a showbiz, he wanted to use this chance to be a father.
The real father that he could not fulfil for Ittoki Otoya in real life.
The orange-haired girl, Nanami Haruka looked around again before finally convincing herself that no one was around yet again. Her eyes sized up as she could see the sobbing boy's face who was still sitting on the bench.
Haruka recognized the boy. She blinked to ensure her eyes did not deceive her before deciding that it was the boy who she recognized right away.
The boy would be married to her in more than ten years later.
The sorrow and cluelessness were cast from her orange eyes. Her legs kept dragging her to him but as clumsy as she got, she tripped over a twig and toppled onto the ground. It was downright embarrassing but not for the boy, Otoya who was panicky and ran towards Haruka.
"Oneechan, are you alright? Does it hurt?"
"No, I... I am fine," the girl stuttered, trying to stand up but to no avail.
"You are hurt, oneechan," Otoya said, did not have any idea how his sweet voice tugged his father's heart right away. The way he acted was the same with Kotomi especially when the woman was worried about Saotome's twisted ankle for dancing too much. "Let's sit over there and check up the injury, oneechan."
"Okay, Oto... I mean, thank you," Haruka replied. Otoya was still holding her arm while his eyes followed every Haruka's pace so that she could walk properly.
"Sit here, oneechan," Otoya slowly made her sit on the bench before nervously observed her from head to toe. "Oneechan, your knee and hands..."
"Oh, it's okay. It's not that hurt."
"Really? But it looked hurt," Otoya pulled her hands close to his eyesight, observed the bruises in pity. "If I were you, I would cry, oneechan."
"But, you already cried right? You still had tears on your cheeks."
He lowered his gaze. His bit his thin lips, suppressing the urge to cry again.
"What's your name? Why did you cry?" Haruka asked.
"My... My name is Otoya. I miss my aunt."
Saotome knew it. Everytime he dreamed, the boy would say the same thing. He was miserable because his aunt just died. He grew up with his aunt and her husband so it was bound for him to feel lost when he had to move to an orphanage since his other relatives refused to bring him with them.
They said he was a bad luck. He brought misfortune.
"My aunt... She just died because of an illness and I miss her already," Otoya answered, wiping the tears that continued streaming his tan face. This sight was always heart-rending but Saotome hated himself even more for being unable to do anything. "I don't know my parents. I only have my aunt but she also left me. Everybody said that I provided the cause..."
Haruka would be the only girl who married to him in future so it was bound for her to share the same feeling with Saotome; the urge to protect and comfort Otoya. The boy gasped as his small frame was trapped into Haruka's embrace. The boy was lonely and in pain so that was why it did not take long for him to snuggle up to her even he did not even know her.
"It's okay... If you need a shoulder to cry on, oneechan is here for you. You can cry all you want," she stroked the silky hair before pecking his head.
"I wonder if my parents left me to my aunt because they didn't love me. Maybe I made them feel sad..."
No, you're not, Otoya...
But, it was true that he insisted Kotomi to abandon their son at that time because he did not feel any affection yet. All Saotome had in his head was his promising career and relationship with Kotomi. He did not want a child which would reveal their secret to the world.
"What are you saying? Of course you're not! No parents in this world will leave their children because they don't love them. The parents always love the children," Haruka said.
That's nice of you, Miss Nanami. Thank you for comforting my son because... yeah, I am a useless parent.
"Is that true, oneechan?"
Not really, Otoya...
"Yes, I am sure they have their reasons. Now, where do you live?"
"In an orphanage, not far from here."
"Do they treat you well?" She asked.
"Yes, oneechan. They are so kind. I have someone to play every day. The food is delicious. I sleep with a lot of friends in the same room so most of the time, I don't feel lonely anymore."
"That's good to hear. A nice boy like you... I am sure people will love and like you a lot."
Thank you for loving my son, Miss Nanami.
The conversation was pursued by Otoya and Haruka strolling together. They talked. They laughed and in the corner of his eyes, Saotome could see himself and Kotomi in them.
Their love to each other was pure and sincere but the demand from their career had ruined it.
And Saotome wanted to protect them and the love so that Otoya would not have to endure the same thing.
"Then, I want to be nicer so that my parents will like me," Otoya exclaimed, dragging Saotome back to his current situation. "I really want to know why they left me if they really loved me. If they are in trouble, I want to help them!"
His words were innocent but sharp enough for Saotome. If only the boy knew how wrong was him to assume that way...
The fact that his father and mother in trouble... yes, they were but it was still not acceptable to abandon him.
Saotome felt more sinful as Otoya blurted out more words. He looked at the couple back, expecting more upsetting scenes to be unfolded right in his eyes but...
"Huh?"
Yes, his surrounding suddenly turned hazy. Both Haruka and Otoya disappeared.
Wait, does it mean... they both will...
"Haruka..."
A soft familiar voice echoed and for a moment, Saotome thought that he had lost his breath. The sight of the adult Otoya hugging Haruka in the middle of the park made him sighing in relief. He felt his legs wobbled but they could not collapse since he was supposed to stand still on his spot.
Standing still and useless for his own son.
"I am so sorry, Haruka... I am sorry for what I have done," Otoya's voice quivered as he was still embracing his wife like his life depended on her forgiveness. "I love you! I love you so much! The fact that I was happy when you had a miscarriage... I was lying. I don't want our baby to die. I want to raise them with you..."
"It's okay, Otoya-kun," she said as she slowly shed tears and caressed his red hair. "I know you didn't mean it. I know you're in pain for a long time. That's why I am here in your life. I want to make you happy."
"I am sorry, Haruka..."
"Shhh, no need to apologize. It hurts me... Come on, let me see your face," she lifted his face which still rested on her shoulder. As their eyes met and shared their love, regret and pain, her delicate fingers wiped away the tears of pain. "You sure have a lot of tears, honey? It's hard to wipe all of them when you keep crying like this..."
"I am sorry..."
"No, Otoya-kun. It's okay. Instead, let's build a new life together. I won't force to you have kids if you're not ready. I'll wait for you."
"I am sorry," the redhead kept saying the same sentence when there were too many sins that he wanted to bring up and seek apology from his wife. He hated himself for crying easily because those words of apology stuck in his throat but he could not help it. He pecked the small part of Haruka's palm that his lips could reach before holding her hands. "I am sorry... If only the child version of me knew that he would meet someone amazing like you..."
"Ah, I see... that's why I instantly loved him the moment I saw him," Haruka exclaimed, full of affection. It was ridiculous and calm for her to easily put two and two together when Otoya and the child version of him could not exist in the same timeline. "He just misses his family but he looked cheerful again after we spending time together..."
"No, no, Haruka..." still holding Haruka's hand, Otoya supplied, "It's because he's with you. It's you who made him happy again. There is no one else who deserves to be my and his only family other than you, Haruka. Thank you for marrying me and accepting me in your life. I want to stay with you, grow old with you, raise our children with you..."
This time, instead of leaving her and disappearing for good like previous dreams, Otoya trapped his wife in a loving embrace. Planting a long kiss on her forehead, he said, "I love you, Haruka. I love you so much."
That was how Saotome's dream ended this time. It was full of apology from Otoya but with a good ending.
After all, the couple deserved it after how much troubles had Saotome caused them. Opening his eyes which he always covered with glasses, Saotome looked around his vast room.
He was always lonely because he had to start and end his day alone and without any family member but at least, this time his dream had made his body felt light.
It felt light because Otoya was happy in his dream.
Wrong. His exterior felt light but his heart ached and stung.
"It's because he's with you. It's you who made him happy again. There is no one else who deserves to be my and his only family other than you, Haruka. Thank you for marrying me and accepting me in your life. I want to stay with you, grow old with you, raise our children with you..."
Even in such a sweet dream, it had to be antagonistic towards him till the end, huh? The dream had implied that only Haruka deserved to be Otoya's family. Not him who was the guitarist's father.
I am glad he finally found his happiness, he thought.
That was when his last conversation with Cecil before the A of STARISH returned to his country echoed back in his mind.
"You... you want the magic to..."
"Yes, is it that possible? Is the magic capable of..." His words were interposed by Cecil's disapproving face. They were in the typical position which was expected from a president and his idol; Cecil who was standing still opposite of Saotome's desk but due to what had happened, Saotome secretly felt intimidated by Cecil's gaze.
"It might be but why? Why do you have to change the fact that Otoya is your son? Don't you think it's too harsh for him? He never meets his mother. He doesn't know who nor where she is. Why did you..."
"It's because he's my son," he interposed. "For me, Ittoki Otoya is my son forever. I care about him and I want the best thing happens to him."
"Your current words don't match your previous request, you know."
"I really mean it, Mr. Aijima. Having me as his father... it won't give any benefit to him. It will never be the best thing for him. As for his mother, she's already happy with her new family. I don't want to make three of us unnecessarily reunite or sorts."
"And who are you to decide that changing your relationship will benefit him more? It's for Otoya to decide it. He might look bright and grow up just fine in the orphanage but who knows what he has in his mind all the time? Who knows what he has been thinking when his friends got adopted and left him? Nobody knows what he has longed for every time he sees that he's the only one among us who doesn't have parents?"
"Otoya will commit suicide in the mall, Mr. Aijima," as expected, Saotome's words sent the prince surprised. When he looked like he was about to protest, Saotome continued, "The same thing would happen had I not tried to do something with your wish of saving him from the killer. With Mr. Hijirikawa left, the bond among STARISH members is not as strong as before, Otoya tried to frame everyone, you sure don't want more things to happen, right?"
"But, how can you be so sure..."
"Otoya himself told me so. Since I will never approve him as my son, he will commit suicide. He will plan it with Otori Eiichi."
"Then, just give him the approval that he wants and deserves," Cecil said angrily. Instantly he already stood so close with Saotome who was sitting at his desk. "I am a son just like him and I do understand where he comes from. Is it that hard for you to acknowledge him as..."
"Yes, it is," Saotome said. Cecil always thought that the president looked admirable with how he sat because it emitted his charisma and confidence. But now, the prince would appreciate more if the man showed more humane and relatable emotions. "Being my son is harder than you can imagine, Mr. Aijima. I have a lot of enemies. I can't exactly count how many times those people tried to poison me, threaten me, kill my employees... I have seen so many things. I don't want Otoya to face the worse. I was so careful to hide the fact that I have a son but somehow that Otori managed to know it. Just imagine what would happen to Otoya had anyone else learned about it? Showbiz is not all sunshine and rainbows, Mr. Aijima. In fact, it has a lot of dirty games that will bring you down any time. I want someone like you, someone like Otoya to bring back the sunshine and rainbows. Just live your life as a normal idol and you'll be fine. Or else, you will end up like me."
"What do you mean?"
"I was greedy and selfish back then. I wanted to be a successful idol but I also dated Otoya's mother who was also my composer at that time. We're aware of the risk, though. Once someone else knows our relationship, one of us has to let go. Something has to be sacrificed since in a showbiz or any choices in our life, it's impossible to have everything. The world doesn't revolve around you. You can't expect to have a girlfriend without being bashed by your fans. They can claim that you have betrayed them, you've wasted their time and money worshipping you and the next thing you know, you have lost your career. You might have your girlfriend by your side but you're no longer an idol."
"Does it mean that you're willing to sacrifice your relationship instead of your job? Is a human less precious than a job?"
"According to my logic, it's a yes," Saotome said, too calm but it caused Cecil to widen his eyes. "Someone has to be the president of this agency even it cost me everything. I have employees who need their jobs here. I have legacy to give away. I have endless talents to be introduced to the world."
"How... how come you nonchalantly said that? That's inhumane and materialistic," Cecil did not bother to be polite anymore. That was okay. Saotome like the honest side of him anyway.
"Really? Do you think so? I guess you're still young but... if I am going to give you an example, what about you and Miss Nanami?"
"Excuse me?"
"Don't hide your feeling from me. All of you in STARISH love her. I can guess that as much."
Oh, God...
"But, president, we don't do..."
"Yes, I know. You didn't do anything to breach the no-dating contract but why did you do that again?"
"Of course for the idol..." Cecil paused as the message that Saotome wanted to send slowly clouded his mind. "It's for our career."
"Why would you care about your career? Sustaining your job might be important but a human like Haruka is supposed to be more precious, more valuable than a mere career, right?"
Cecil sighed heavily. That was still parts of Saotome's speech that he begged to differ but he knew, it was useless because Saotome was correct nonetheless.
"If my feeling to her is revealed to public, I don't want people to think that Haruka has caused it. She has gone through a lot because the rest of us won't leave her. I don't want to hurt her nor make her lose her career at the same time."
"Exactly. Your way to show your love is the same with mine, Mr. Aijima," Saotome said. "I choose not to let Otoya know that I am his father because it won't do any good to him."
Cecil closed his eyes for a while, processing his thought. This was too much and complicated for him who had grown up almost without worries.
"Then, when do you want me to use the magic?"
"After things start to worsen or after someone dies," Saotome said, weaker than anyone could expect from him.
It was clear to Cecil now that Saotome really loved STARISH.
"And I want everyone to lose memory of what happened all this time, including you, Mr. Aijima."
"If you insist," the prince said bitterly. Before he turned to leave the room, his eyes still cast his disapproval as he supplied, "But, just so you know, I can't guarantee that the magic will totally fulfill your wish. Just like how we could see it, the magic seems to have thoughts on its own."
Saotome nodded. "I am aware of that, Mr. Aijima. Thank you for the reminder."
With Saotome's wish, after Otoya was found dead in his room, everything went back to normal. The fact that Haruka and STARISH returned to the past... it never took place. Otoya had never committed suicide in Shining Mall beforehand because he never learned who was his father.
Which was why right now which was nine years later, he could chat happily with his friends in the midst of his private birthday party. Just like what he wished, he only wanted to especially celebrate his birthday with his family and friends from Shining Agency.
He even expected his third baby after having two healthy sons with Haruka.
"The principal is surprisingly all-out with your birthday party. You're one lucky guy, Otoya," Syo remarked, still munching his drumstick chicken.
"Well, maybe starting from my birthday, he will celebrate our birthdays like that," still refused to accept others' claims that he was treated better by their president, his red eyes looked around, seeking agreement from their circle.
"If he's going to do that, why wouldn't he start from Myu-chan senpai's? His birthday is on January," Natsuki reasoned out, glancing at Camus who was sitting with his teammates not far from their table. Obviously, he was enjoying his cakes and spared no glance at Reiji who was cursed by Ranmaru for being so noisy.
"Well, obviously it's because Camus is not likeable like Otoya. Just look at how arrogant he looked when all he did from the start was eating more than half of Otoya's cake," Cecil said. "That's shameless if you ask me."
"And the next thing you know, we can expect your death soon for bad-mouthing him," Masato said flatly, completed by his poker face. "He might shoot you after this."
"Yeah, Hijirikawa-san is right. You should better be careful with your words, Aijima-san," the usually cool Tokiya added and for some reason, he looked more nervous.
"Nah, don't worry, Masato, Tokiya. I can always beat Elsa-wannabe like him."
"Aijima!"
"Nya!!"
They laughed instantly. For seconds, the scene of Cecil was chased by his senior, followed by Otoya's sons who found the scene amusing had been the cynosure of the party until Natsuki stood up and gave announcement.
"Now, it's time for the Birthday Boy to give his speech for surviving his birthday with..."
"With a cute..."
"Definitely not with a senior like you, Kotobuki-san," Tokiya might have a hidden liking of crushing his own senior's dream without further ado.
"Mou, that's mean, Tokki!"
Ridiculous interruption and noise had always become Otoya's part of life as an idol of Shining Agency. Reiji was always brushed off by his teammates, Natsuki had always exclaimed how cute Syo or Haruka was, Ren and Masato always bickered and many more. It was impossible to start anything without these unnecessary scenes but Otoya lived for them.
"I would like to say thanks to my family, STARISH and all of you in Shining Agency for always being there with me. I finally found what kind of life that I wanted. To have all of you, my beautiful wife," he paused as he tightened his hold around Haruka's shoulders, "and... cheeky children... I can't ask for more. I grew to accept that I am an orphan. I am sure my parents have a reason to leave me. It must be a reason for me to stay put and learn how to survive. Had I known my parents, my dream would change and I would never encounter you guys. I don't want that kind of life."
"Owh, that's cheesy, Otoya..." Syo mumbled.
"What cheesy? That's sweet, Syo-chan," Natsuki said. "Just like him, I would leave to France for good if it's not because of you guys. I love to work here with everyone."
"Shinomi is right. Plus, Ikki's speech is not as cheesy as the thought of you trying to save Lady from a high place once before," Ren said with a smirk. "while summoning your 'power of man' or whatever you called it."
"You better shut up or I will pray that you'll leave this agency for good," Syo retorted.
"That's mean. I will bring Icchi with me then," Ren said with his fake melancholy. "Icchi will be the best person who understands me for always being treated like a bad guy."
"No, why should I? Please Hijirikawa-san. Do something about this guy."
"I would rather to go back to my parents' house than having to deal with the idiot, Ichinose."
"Yes, president? Yes? Okay, I will tell him," from his table, Ringo ended the call from his boss. "Oto-kun, the president wants to see you in his room."
"What?" Otoya said. "Why?"
"Who knows..."
Come to think of it, why didn't he join us if he was the one who sponsored the party? Does he want to play cool if I want to say thanks to him? Otoya thought as he made his way towards Saotome's room.
His knocks on the door was instantly received by Saotome. The president invited him in with a rare but bright smile on his face.
"Do you want to see me, president?" The bright red eyes always looked beautiful whenever they sparked with curiosity and excitement.
Just like how Kotomi would look like whenever she wrote up the last line of her new song or whenever he said that he loved her so much.
The eyes were beautiful because they took after Kotomi's.
"Huh? Yes, yes. Please take a seat, Mr. Ittoki."
Mentally scolding himself for still immersing himself with the fact that he still loved Kotomi, he took a seat.
"How's the party, Mr. Ittoki? Do you like it?"
"More than I should, president. Thank you so much."
Awkwardness immediately took place the space between them since Otoya was not the one who always spoke to his president in private. If he had troubles with his job, he was more comfortable to seek advices from Reiji or Tokiya.
Or anyone except for Saotome.
"But, it will be more meaningful if you join us since you're the one who insisted to throw the party."
His words were spontaneous but he did not know how much they meant for Saotome.
"I thought you wouldn't feel comfortable if your president was around."
"Of course not!" Otoya exclaimed. It was indeed louder than necessary so he bit his lips right away. "I mean... it's true I feel slightly intimidated by your presence but it doesn't mean I don't need you to be around. Please join us, president."
I don't deserve that, Otoya.
"Sure, I will join you shortly after this but before that..." he said, straightening his posture while looking directly at Otoya's eyes. "I would like to talk about this agency's future with you, Mr. Ittoki."
"Yes?"
"I would like you to take over this agency after my retirement."
"What? Me?" This time, the red eyes sized up in horror. It was definitely not a bad news but Saotome understood where did he come from. "Why?"
I wonder why... Maybe it's because... you're my son... my only heir?
"Well, I thought that if you want to settle down with your family."
Silence lingered around them as Otoya immersed in his deep thought.
"I see. I got where you came from, president, but... I don't think I am suitable with administration stuff. I don't have the leadership talent like you, president."
"You are already the leader of STARISH even it's unofficial, Mr. Ittoki. You might think you're not as competent as Mr. Ichinose..."
"Woah, that's surprising. How do you know that I..."
"Well, who else though? You guys might be best friends but it doesn't change the fact that you guys are also rivals."
"That's why I believe you should choose Tokiya or Hyuga-san or Ringo..."
"I choose you, Mr. Ittoki."
That caught him off guard. For some reason, the staring contest between them felt unfamiliar but warm.
Like... Was it trust? Affection? Care? Otoya did not know how to interpret it.
"Let me... think about it."
"Or you can have your friends as your assistants. You know, board of directors. With those people around you, I am sure you'll feel more assuring. That's what I feel every time Ringo and Hyuga are around."
"Is that okay?" The bright eyes sparkled right away which he found the expression cute.
But he chose to conceal it with small nods.
"Then, I will think about it. Thank you for the opportunity, president," the man bowed.
Awkward silence was there again.
"When is Miss Nanami's pregnancy due date by the way?"
"It's expected to be next Sunday."
"I see."
"Can I call you Otoya? I think it sounds easier than Mr. Ittoki."
"Yes, definitely."
After Otoya left the room, Saotome continued to watch him from the window. The downstairs party was still chaotic and thrilling but the man chose to be alone in the room.
It was because right now, his mind was blessed with the thought of Kotomi and Otoya. It might be impossible for him to stay beside Kotomi since she was someone's wife and mother but with Otoya...
He secretly grabbed the chances to be closer. It was stupid and random of him but he enjoyed it. Whenever they participated the same event, he would make sure that he ended up in the same team with Otoya. One of their best moments for him was when Otoya's partner for a certain gameshow was absent and Saotome had to replace him. Even it was embarrassing for Otoya to be carried around by Saotome who was way larger than him, he had to endure it in order to win the game.
Little did he know, in the midst of the game, all Saotome thought was how wonderful it would be to have Otoya in his arms when he was still a baby.
You might think I am pathetic, Kotomi. Unlike others, I still remember my son, our son.
Mr. Aijima is right. The magic did not totally fulfill my wish. I didn't want Otoya to be my son but with how I still care about him, that might mean the magic just made Otoya oblivious of who is his father. The fact that I am his father... it's unchanged.
I know it's pathetic since all I can give him was prosperity but not affection.
He already had his family with his wife. He doesn't need me anymore.
The same goes with you. You are safe and loved with your husband. You don't need me by your side anymore.
It was me who abandoned both of you after all. It was me who actually 'killed' our son instead of Otori Eiichi so I have to ensure that our son finds his happiness again which is with his wife and kids.
With a bitter smile, he mentally told himself that he could slowly move on from the memory of him crying and apologizing to Otoya's grave for being such a terrible father.
THE END
It's the final chapter, guys! *end up mentally crying*. I guess, the so-called moral value of this story is do not abandon your child because he's innocent no matter what kind of situation you're in? I don't know and I guess so. Feel free to ask me anything if you think some parts weren't clarified enough, okay? Please forgive me for the lack of Haruka's and Tomochika's dialogue. I even regretted for not introducing and adding more Saotome's scenes and POVs in this story when he was the plot device T_T However, I am still so happy because my fourth story which was started in 2018 finally ended and left my head for good. This is my first time experimenting with the main character who is not my bias. The concept is the same with Crystal Time; time-travelling but instead of spending time to make the main couple all sweet to each other like Tokiya and Haruka, in this fic, I ended up making STARISH members fought haha. Thank you for reading all this time especially Digila-san from AO3 and Hoshizorakari from Wattpad who always left comments and votes. Thank you for the rest of you as well :D Thank you for your support and I must say, one of reasons why I want to see this fic finished because I hate to keep leaving my story with an 'ongoing' status when I already have the ending in my mind for a while. Last but not least, stay safe, guys! Tbh, I don't know what will happen to the other ongoing stories. I am more into other animes right now and currently watching The Promised Neverland (I know I am late).
