The Others Return

It was a few days after Steve had his children the others returned from their mission. They had a surprise when Steve was up cooking breakfast for when they returned.

"Welcome back and good morning." Steve said as they walked in. Steve was in the perfect spot where they couldn't see his stomach.

"Shouldn't you be sitting down Steve? Thor might get mad that you are up." Clint said, "But I won't say anything because I do miss your cooking."

"I think it is fine for Steve to be up. He is" Bucky didn't finish his sentence because of the look he got from Steve. "Oh come on Stevie. When are you going to tell them? I noticed when I entered the room."

"Noticed what?" Sam asked.

"Take a good look at Steve. Isn't he carrying himself differently?" Bucky asked.

"Now that you mention it. He is." Wanda said.

"Steve you little punk! How dare they not wait for us to return." Bucky said crossing his arms.

Everyone looked at Bucky like he was crazy. Just as they were looking at Bucky, Thor and Bruce came in holding the children.

"See I am not crazy. Now stop staring at me." Bucky said.

"Ryan wanted you Steve." Thor said as he gave Ryan to him. Thor still had Jamie in his arms.

"I want to hold one." Clint said getting up.

"You can hold Ryan unless Bruce wants to give up Alexandria." Thor said looking at Bruce.

"I'll take his silence as a no then." Steve said laughing.

"Dr. Banner has really taken a liking to your children it seems." Wanda said.

"He has. We have told him that he should have a child of his own." Thor said as Steve gave Ryan to him.

"Why would I have one of my own when there is three where I can help with?" Bruce asked as he was waving his hand over Alexandria's face distracting her.

"Because there is a curtain joy that you get when you have a child of your own." Clint said.

"When did you get so wise Clint?" Tony asked as he walked into the kitchen. Loki came in following him.

Clint shrugged and said, "I have my moments." He had a sad look on his face.

"What's with the sad look?" Pietro asked worriedly.

"It's nothing. It's not important anymore." Clint said putting his head on the table so no one could see his face.

"I got the mail!" Laura said as she walked in,  "There is something important here for you Clint."

"Just out it in the table. I'll look at it later." Clint said.

"It says to open immediately." Laura said.

"Fine. Open it." Clint said not moving.

"Okay." Laura said opening it. She read over it before she asked, "Are you sure you want me to read this out loud? It seem pretty personal."

"Go ahead. Almost everyone here know everything about me." Clint said.

"Alright then. It says, 'Dear Mr. Barton, First of all we would like to say our sympathies. Your ex wife has died in a car crash. Your children that you has with her are safe. A few minor bumps and bruises but, other than that they are perfectly fine. The eldest requests that they go and stay with you. She will not take no for an answer. If you could come and get them as soon as you are able to we would be ever so grateful. Again we are sorry for your loss.' I can't read the signature but here is the letter." Laura said as she handed him the letter.

Clint looked up and read it again. "I hope Stark doesn't mind a few more children here." He said glancing at him.

"He probably won't. Especially if they are yours." Steve said.

"That means there will be how many kids here?" Tony asked.

"There will be six in total. Mine are older. They are 10, 7, and 3 years old." Clint said.

"Alright. Time for a field trip I guess. I will go and who else is going?" Tony said.

"The people who are going is Natasha, Frigga, Laura, Pietro, and I. That is if they want to go. I do not need anyone else. I have my own vehicle to get them." Clint said.

"I can go ask if the other girls want to go." Laura said getting up and walking down the hall.

"Why does she always volunteer to do things?" Tony asked.

"She might want to get away from you." Bruce said gently rocking Alexandria.

"Hey! I take offense to that." Tony said.

"Don't. Everyone needs a break from people sometimes." Bucky said.

"Nope. They are not coming. I didn't even need to ask." Laura said walking back into the room.

"How do you know then?" Sam asked.

"I heard things that I can never unhear." Laura said with a shudder.

"We will just head out then. Are you ready Pietro?" Clint asked.

"Are you really asking the fastest man on Earth if he is ready in the morning? Even after a mission?" Pietro asked.

"Yes I am. Are you ready or not?" He asked again.

"No I am not. Just give me like 30 seconds to get ready." Pietro said running to his and Clint's shared bedroom.

When he got back Sam said, "That was 31 seconds."

"Shut up Sam. Come on let's go." Clint said walking out of the room. The other two followed him out.

When they got into the garage Clint walked over to the red mini van that was parked in the corner.

"Is that your van?" Pietro asked.

"Yes it is." Clint said taking the keys out of his pocket.

~~~Time Skip~~~
"DADDY!" The three children yelled as Clint, Pietro, and Laura entered the room.
"Hi kiddos." Clint said hugging them all.
"We missed you! They wanted to put us into foster home and split us up!" Cooper said on the verge of tears.
"You know I would never let that happen you." Clint said.
"Daddy, where's mommy?" Nathaniel asked.
Clint looked at him with a sad look, hugged him, and said, "She is where she needs to be my little boy."
"Okay daddy." Nathaniel said.
"Can we leave here dad? I don't like the people here. They are creepy." Lila said.
"Sure hunny. First I would like you both to meet Pietro and Laura. They live with me and the rest of the avengers." Clint said.
They looked and saw Pietro and Laura standing in the doorway.
"Are you trying to replace our mom?" Lila asked Laura glaring at her.
"No I am not. I am only here because Clint asked me to be here. Also I think you guys might get two fathers. You should talk to Pietro about that. I am probably going to be your aunt of the Avengers other than Natasha. She will forever be your favorite." Laura said.
"You got that right." Lila said with her hands on her hips.
"Be nice Lila. I think it is time for us to go." Clint said.
"Okay daddy." Cooper said. He went up to Pietro and took his hand, "Let's go! Daddy said it's time to leave."
"Alright but, I have a faster way to get out of here." Pietro said picking him up.
"Don't you dare." Clint glared at him.
"I dare." He said as he ran out.
"And he it." Laura said smirking at him. She got down on Nathaniel's level, "How about we head out to the car and get your brother and Pietro?"
"Up! Up!" Nathaniel said. Laura did as he asked and they went out together.
"Well it looks like it's just you and me then Lila." Clint said.
"Nope. Just you!" She ran off chasing everyone else.
Clint sighed and followed them.
When he got to the he saw them in it, "What took you so long old man? Are we to fast for you?" Pietro asked.
"Oh shut it." Clint said as he got into the car and started it. It took them awhile but they got home.
Here you go people. Also sorry if I didn't describe Laura. She has long dark brown hair. Her eyes are forest green. She is about five feet and eight inches. She isn't skinny but isn't fat. Somewhere in between. Should I ship her with Bruce? He seems lonely. If I do ship them Tony will totally say 'I knew you two would get together!' Then Laura or Bruce or both will threaten him. Well that's all for now.
