Another month went by, Cooper and Clint left my ears alone after that.
Clint did have some lady come by who poked me and shoved some weird liquid down my throat. It didn't taste good...
Clint had gotten me something he called a head halter last week, it was blue.
"Hey buddy," Clint said as he walked into my little yard.
"You wanna go meet some other animals in the big pasture?" He asked, offering me a large blue rope with a metal bit on the end.
I sniffed at it before he clipped it onto the side of my head halter, which startled me.
"Hey it's okay Starbuck, it's just a lead," he informed, lifting a hand to pat my nose, which I allowed.
He pat my nose for a few moments before saying, "C'mon, let's go to the pasture,". Walking away, the lead pulled me along with him.

We didn't walk for long before we came to a long fence with a big gate on it.
There was one colored bucket on the gate and a huge water trough.
My ears were erect as I listened to all the birds and other sounds of the woods.
Suddenly, the sound of heavy footsteps filled my ears. "Food?" I heard a voice ask.
"Hey Bessie," Clint greeted.
A huge black... thing... came out of the woods.
It froze and stared at me, "You aren't food..." 'Bessie' was huge.
Clint unlocked the gate and stepped inside, "C'mon Starbuck," he said as he tugged on the lead.
I didn't move. 'Bessie' and I were still staring at each other.
I heard Clint sigh as he walked over to me, picked me up, and brought me to the other side of the fence muttering, "Damn deer in headlights," to himself.
