I wake up to the heat of the sun hitting my face. I groaned, as my eyes slowly fluttered opened before finally adjusting to the brightness before staring up at the blue sky above me.

Last night was a nightmare.. I sighed heavily before dragging my hands down my face. What the hell am I getting myself into? While still laying on my back, I raised my head as I lift up my shirt to get a look at my stomach.

The shirt was stained with now dry blood, including my stomach and along the side of my waist. Thankfully the crappy stitching I did last night held together.

I take in a deep breath before forcing myself to sit up. The way I'd kill to sleep in a bed again.. I turned my head towards the sound of a vehicle speeding up on the long gravel driveway.

"Shit!" I quickly got on all fours and scrambled to crawl for cover behind one of the rundown cars that I was sleeping by lastnight just as Lucas drove up to the house.

I huffed heavily as I leaned my back against the side of the car. "God damn it.." I held onto my side where the wound was; making sure the stitches didn't open up again.

I leaned my head back and looked up at the sky again. Tears weld in my eyes, for fuck sakes..

I felt lonely last night. What worried me even more was that I couldn't feel Bee through the bond..he can't be dead right? I would've felt it..

I take in a sharp inhale. Lisa calm down..breathe..deep breaths..

"Dad!" I hear Tessa shout as she stormed up to the barn with Lucas right behind her. "Coming!" I hear him shout as I peeked my head out to take a look at what was going on.

"Are you working on lasers? If so, I'm not coming in!" Tessa shouted as he opened the barn door.

"You guys never seen a truck like this, get in here. Lock that door!" He demanded to both of them as he dragged both of them in the barn.

"It doesn't have a lock." Lucas said before closing the door behind them.
I sighed in frustration before slowly standing up. Maybe I was right.. maybe that truck is Prime..and Cade must've found out about Optimus.. I clenched my jaw as I slowly made my way towards the barn. This is such bullshit..

I forced myself to pick up the pace, moving towards the back of the barn. "There has to be a way in from the back." I grumbled to myself as I tried to find some sort of enterance.

"Bingo."

Right by the corner there was loose paneling of the barn wall. I slowly yet carefully take off the loose paneling and slip inside.

"Look! Look at the hole in the radiator, look at the size of it, something blew a hole in it!" Cade exclaimed as he looked through the giant hole in the radiator.

He ran around it and scrambled up the metal ladder. "Yeah so?" Lucas said with a heavy sigh as they both walked over to him.

"It's not normal steel." Cade replied as he ran over the plank he had set up to the battery and power clips. "The shrapnel in the engine; it ripped all the connections apart and watch, this took some Cade genius." He rambled out as he got the battery hooked up.

"You are going to love this. When I hook this back to a working battery-"

He then put the clips on the battery the truck came to life, shaking as spark flew and then-

"Calling all...Calling all Autobot's-"

He took the clips off. "Oh yeah, I don't think it's a truck at all. I think we just found a Transformer."

Lucas then ran out the side exit of the barn. "Evacuate!" He shouted as Tessa ran out after him.

"Hey wait!" Cade shouted as he ran after them. I froze as I forced myself to get out of my hiding place. I stared at the truck, taking in a deep breath. "I'll get you out of here..I promise..I just need a plan.."

I pressed the palm of my hand against the side of his rusty alt mode. "I can't believe you're alive.." I barely whispered as I felt tears weld in my eyes.

Thank god that I was right with his engeron reading..

I take in a deep breath before sneaking over to ease drop in their conversation. "Dad are you out of your mind? You need to get this thing out of here!" Tessa said with panic laced in her tone as she glared at her father.

"You don't have to worry, I've been in there working all night. I'm fine." Cade ensured as his eyes sparkled with excitement.

"You know what? That's not a truck ok? You're right. It's an alien killing machine-Jesus!" Lucas spat as he began to pace back and forth.

"Dude it's DOA! It's been recalled, totalled, done." Cade retorted as he looked at his daughter and Lucas.

"So listen, there's a number you call. You're supposed to call the government. It's the American thing to do." Lucas said as my eyes widened. No! They can't call!

"Here we go.." Cade grumbled as Lucas took a peek inside the barn before looking back at Cade. "You're supposed to call and if ends up being an alien you win 25,000 dollars."

"You do not win money." Cade fired back as Lucas completely ignored him and continued to ramble.

"And if you can capture it live, like tag it like a wild wildebeest, then you get 100,000 dollars."

"Dad we're making the call.." Tessa said as Cade glared at them. If they make this damn call CemeteryWind will just kill them.

"I've seen the commercial. They don't say that. That's not a guarantee." Cade said as Lucas rolled his eyes. "Do you think Greg would lie to me?" Lucas challenged as Cade sighed.

"Look, if that's a Transformer there from the battle of Chicago, I need to know how it works. I'm an inventor. This could be a game changer for me! If I can apply that technology to my inventions we never have to worry about money again!" Cade exclaimed as Tessa rolled her eyes.

"I've heard that before." She grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest. I watched as the three of them enter the barn once again as Cade started to work on Optimus again.

"25 grand it pays for my college, it pays for the house." Tessa exclaimed to her father who was clearly not paying attention.

"Besides you used my money to buy the truck right? So technically that's my truck. Don't you think?" Lucas said as Cade turned around and jumped off the platform.

"You also signed a contract regarding all research lab I.P." Cade replied as Lucas stared at Cade.

"Research lab? Dude, it's a freakin barn." He fired back as Cade clenched his jaw.

He stepped down from the ladder and towards Lucas, as he moved towards him. Lucas backed up as Cade kept getting closer.

"You signed it and now you're competing. Any idea of yours is mine. Any thought you have, I own it. So basically I own you." Cade spat as he glared at Lucas.

"I don't think you can own someone. that was like a while ago, even in Texas." Lucas replied as Cade huffed.

He pulled on the apron and his welding mask. "Alright, bring the torch over and help me with the pulley arm." Cade declared as Lucas grumbled under his breath but did what he was told.

"I think the shrapnel took out it's power core." Cade stated as he pulled out a small hammer and showed it to Tessa. "Oh and Tessa you see this?"

He walked over to Prime and hit the bumper of his alt mode, sending loud bangs throughout the barn.

"Would a alien killing machine let me do that? Look I'll make the call, we'll get the money, just first let me see if I'm right. You wanna hide in the house?"

She nodded, "yeah." She replied as he nodded. "Okay then, go ahead." Without a second to delay she quickly ran out of the barn and back into the house.

"Let's go." Cade ordered as I kept a good watch as they began to work on Prime.

As Cade got to work he pulled out something from Optimus's alt mode. "What is that? It looks like a missile.." Lucas said as he looked at Cade who held the item in his grasp with his apron and welding mask on.

"It is..WHOA!" He screamed as I gasped, watching the missile shoot out of Cade's and bounce off the barn walls and back towards Cade.

He screamed, dodging it as it bounced off of Prime, hitting the platform Lucas was on as he fell off of it and the missile went shooting out of the barn and into the house.

OH MY GOD HIS DAUGHTER! "Dad! There's a missile in the family room!" I hear Tessa shout as Cade stood up from the ground.

Suddenly Prime began to transform into his bi-pedal mode. "Oh no! PRIME!" I shouted as I transformed in my robot form not caring if my stitches tore open again.

"I will kill you!" He snarled as he smashed the ladder and the whole platform that was set around him.

As he tries to get up the hanging chains that were hanging from the ceiling caught onto his shoulder causing him to stumble forward, nearly crushing Cade.

As he fell onto the ground he took a swing at Lucas and smashed Cade's desk.

"No! No!" He cried out as he tried to reach for his gun. He let out grunts and cries of agony as sparks flew from his hinges and chestplate.

I look over to see Tessa running in to the barn. "Dad there's a missile in the-WHOA!" Tessa screamed as Cade scrambled up on his feet and ran to grab her as she slid mid-way in.

Prime spun around, getting hold of his gun as he stood up and he aimed his gun at them. "I'LL KILL YOU! STAY BACK!" He screamed as my optics widened.

"Oh no. Don't shoot! Don't shoot!" Cade screamed as I let out a cry of agony as I forced myself to leap out from my hiding spot, jumping in front of Cade. "PRIME STOP DON'T DO IT!"

"Oh my god there's two of them!" Tessa cried out as I pinned my audio receptors back.

"Call 9-1-1! RUN!" Lucas shouted. "NO LUCAS STOP!" I shouted as he stood up and began to make a run for it but was stopped as Prime swung his gun at him knocking him off his feet.

Prime pumped his gun, loading a fresh bullet in the chamber and releasing the empty one.

"Don't move." I growled as he groaned on the floor and slowly stood up raising his hands above his head.

"Easy human.." Optimus growled as I looked up at him. "Prime..you have to calm down..you're safe.." I choked out as I winched, forcing myself to get closer to him.

"Who are you?" He snarled as I lowered my self to the ground. "It's Lisa..remember me?" I asked him as he grunted as Cade looked at us.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked as I looked over at him. "I'll explain later, I'm one of them. The Autobot's." I exclaimed as Tessa with wide eyes stared at me with horror. My optics locked on hers, she gasped stumbling backwards.

"What is that thing.." she barely managed on as she held tightly onto her father's arm. I turned back towards Primes, my optics analyzing him.

"Weapons-system damaged.." He growled as he clutched onto his chest plate.

I take in a deep breath as I slowly began to transform back to my human form. "It's me, Prime..see?"

He stared at me with wide optics, instantly he recognized me. "Lisa.." I smiled as I hissed clutching to my side as the fabric of my shirt, soaked through with fresh blood.

"You've been injured." He growled as he aimed his gun at them. "Did they hurt you?!" He snarled as they all screamed again, hands raised as they made a quick step back.

"Whoa! Whoa!" Cade screamed as Optimus stood in front of me, keeping me at a safe distance from Cade.

"No Prime! It has nothing to do with them, please put the gun down!" I cried out as his servo clenched tighter on the gun. "They're the ones who found you before I could..they aren't gonna hurt us." I ensured as I gently rested my hand on his other servo that was shielding me from them.

"Where is Sam?" Prime asked as he looked down at me, his optics filled with pain and fear.

"He's dead." I replied as I felt tears weld in my eyes. "They're ones who set up that damn trap and killed him.." I added on as the anger reignited in my veins. Thinking back the very moment I lost Sam made me sick to my stomach. Oh how I miss him...

I stared up at Optimus and he met my sad gaze. "I'm sorry.." He replied as one of his metal fingers touched my cheek, I smiled sadly at him, "you have to trust me...they're not gonna hurt us."

He nodded, he was still tense and unsure. He slowly lowered his servo, allowing me to walk towards Cade and his family. "Don't worry, he won't hurt you.." Cade's gaze met mine before looking at Tessa.

"A missile hit your engine, we took it out of you, you're hurt really bad.." Cade explained as he slowly stepped closer, arms slight raised and he stood next to me.

"They're just trying to help..this is their home..he's an inventor." I exclaimed as Optimus grunted in response.

"My name is Cade Yeager."

"Cade..I am in your debut." Prime replied as he leaned against one of the metal posts in the barn. "My name is Optimus Prime..my Autobot's..." He began slowly before the panic had set in again.

"They're in danger!" In moments he fell to his knees, dropping his gun and part of his helm fell off. "I need to go..I need to go now." He grunted as rested his servo against his forehelm.

"Prime, the Autobot's are ok. Bee and I have met up with a few along the way while we went into hiding.." I said as I stepped closer to him.

"How far do you think you're gonna get?" I added on softly as I rested my hand against his other servo which was holding him up.

He held onto his chest plate. "Prime..you're hurt badly there's no way you can travel like this.." I added on as I examined him quickly. I looked over at Cade and he met my gaze.

"Tessa come here he needs our help." Cade said as she slowly ran over next to her father as Cade moved closer towards us.

"What happened to you?" Cade asked, "an ambush..a trap..set by humans.." He began to cough as I take a small step back. "I escaped and took this form.."

"If you're on our side, why would humans hurt you?" Tessa asked as he slowly stood up. "They were not alone, my Autobot's..can repair me.."

"Yeah, if you can reach them.." Cade said as he walked over to the part of Primes helm that had fallen off.

He picked it up and looked at the both Prime and I. "What about me?"

So Optimus and Lisa have been reunited! Isn't that exciting?!

Hope everyone enjoyed and had a safe Christmas! The only goal I have for 2025 is to finish this book and start working on book 5 based for The Last Knight!

Idk if I have one yet, but I did enjoy writing the first few chapters about Lisa and Bee going into hiding!
