TokTok Questions Part Three:

'Totally personal but here goes: what is each band members red flags?'

"What are your guys' red flags?" Alex asked bluntly.

Gods, he loved his band in the quiet recesses of his heart. They didn't even hesitate.

Steven grunted and shifted Anna onto his other knee as his wife came in and patted his left. "Possessive. Clingy. Majorly depressed."

Connie straddled him and chuckled. "Hubris. Greedy. Know it all."

"I'm pretty reckless," Anna admitted as she reached over to squeeze Connie's butt. "I'm petty as fuck too."

Hazel and Adam returned from the liquor store and she squealed as Hazel picked her up for a kiss and dropped her to Adam. "What are you guys talking about?"

"Red flags."

"I'm aggressive."

"I hide everything under a careful layer of perfectly placed insanity," Adam mused, tugging a beer out and handing it to Jacob.

"I'm an alcoholic." Jacob tipped it back and downed it in six seconds. "And somehow that's not my red flag. I can't take anything seriously. I'm moody."

A couple of others hummed their relatability.

"I think my red flag is probably that I'm mean for no reason sometimes?" Jasmin mumbled.

Jacob dug his fingers into her thighs and grinned with appreciation of her thickness. "You suck at communicating."

She laughed. "Thank you, Jacob. I really appreciate that feedback."

"No problem, darling."

"Well if we're pointing out other people's red flags, Steven–," Hazel pointed at the unbothered hybrid.

"Go on," He prompted with a grin. "Can't hate me more than I do."

"Jesus Christ, dude. Huge red flag," Anna groaned. "And it's one of mine too."

"Steven's too nice. Way too nice."

They all agreed wholeheartedly, which the hybrid was not expecting apparently because he scoffed. "I am not too nice. I dropped all that shit."

His wife cupped his cheeks and squeezed. "Baby, I love you more than life, which is probably another red flag. But you are too nice to people. Not everyone at a four way stop needs to go before you. It's–,"

"First come first serve. I know. I was just trying to be–." He narrowed his eyes as they all started guffawing at him and settled into her hands further. "You guys are assholes. Being nice isn't a flaw."

"Actually, it's a fatal flaw." Anna pulled out her phone and looked it up. "Yep. Actually it's called Personal Loyalty."

"Proof or it didn't happen."

"Do you remember the time the Diamonds asked if I was pregnant and you guys got into a huge argument about it and you said that one thing?"

Steven regarded his cheeky girlfriend and hummed, a small smile coming forward. "That I'd give them the planet for the safety of a few select people just to hear them stop bitching about it for 20 seconds?"

"Personal Loyalty," Adam confirmed as he read it over Anna's shoulder. "That's almost the exact definition."

He grunted his disproval but otherwise didn't argue. "Fine. But what about Jacob over there?"

Jacob sat up with a bold grin. "Come at me, bro."

"Masking," Steven replied instantly to a few nods. "You mask even better than I do. You mask so hard sometimes I don't even know something's wrong until the sink handle is broken."

Jacob flexed his hand. "That was one time, and we've established that knob must have been previously almost broken by you."

"When have I used the kitchen sink? Connie doesn't let me touch dishes after that one time." There was one time he'd dropped a dish and gone into a complete and total mental breakdown over it. It wasn't violent, but he didn't do much but shower and sleep for the next couple of weeks. "I think being around me just gives you guys power buffs."

Jacob shrugged and pointed to Adam. "You? You're unopinionated. Speak your mind, goth boy. We like to hear you talk."

Adam rolled his eyes. "I talk all the time. Just inside my head."

Jasmin coughed, "Red flag," into her hand and they all snickered. "Connie's jealous."

"I am not jealous! I let you guys play with him all the time!" She protested defensively.

They all exchanged glances save for Steven, who looked away so he wouldn't get in trouble. Unfortunately, that just miffed her even more. "Steven." He glanced to the others for help and they avoided his gaze. "Steven," She cooed, rubbing at his cheek. He shut his eyes and prayed she would just give up. "Steven!"

"Do you remember that time that that fan tried to kiss me and you almost got in a fist fight?" He blurted.

Connie opened her mouth to reply but closed it. She paused for a minute and mumbled, "Which one?"

"Exactly!" Hazel shouted. "The ladies and dudes love Steven, but you get pissed if they so much as flirt a little."

"Steven used to be a total flirt when he first started Nova!" She accused. "Red flag."

"I like pink. My entire childhood was changed because I made a dictator blush." He gave her a roguish grin. "I like making you blush, Connie. I love flirting with you. It's so easy. I just," He leaned into her ear and whispered and she melted into him. "And just like that you're weak in the knees and pink in the face. All of you guys are easy to fluster, save for Adam."

Adam nodded. "Also a red flag: suppressing my feelings with ease. Also, my ability to silvertongue and get what I want. But I try not to be problematic about it."

They sat in an expecting silence for a moment until Alex sighed.

"I'm terribly mean to you guys because I don't know how to show affection. There, I said it."

TiBNAALD cheered and blew kisses at him as he tried to figure out what to say in reply to the question.

'Honestly? A bit of everything.'
