TO BE LOVED
:: xxiv, i do

Thomas and Chrissy laid in bed together after a few of intimacy sessions hours before their wedding. They were really going nontraditional with it, hence Chrissy's red dress and the groom seeing the bride before the wedding. Everything was different, so why should the wedding not be either? At least to Chrissy's logic.

Her head was resting on his chest as it rose up down from his breathing, but she wasn't listening to that. Chrissy was listening to Thomas' heartbeat, the rhythm ————— the blood pumping through his veins. It almost sounds vampiric, but she was anything but that. She knew she was a monster deep down. Sometimes she wishes she wasn't the way she was, but she was already in too deep to quit.

She was addicted and her listening to his heartbeat was soothing to her. It reminded her that she didn't want to lose him and that if she killed him, she wouldn't be able to hear that anymore.

Truth be told, Chrissy was madly in love with him and she did not feel that way about her ex husband.

After a few more moments, Chrissy rose up and glanced at Thomas who was soundly asleep. Her eyes shifted towards the digital clock and the time read 2:30am.

She carefully and quietly got out the bed and exited the room, heading to the kitchen. She wanted to take a quick breather and wanted water. In doing so, she ran into her brother who was already in the kitchen.

"You can't sleep either?"

He closed the fridge back after grabbing a cold snack, "Something like that."

"Hm." Chrissy went and sat at one of the stools at the kitchen island, "I'm very excited, though. In a few hours I'll be Mrs. Byers and more hours after that, agent jareau will be in the basement."

Jones took a deep sigh as he faced his sister, "So you're going through with this." He nodded, "What's the plan?"

A big grin was plastered on her face, "I've been eager to tell you."

And so, Chrissy shared every detail with her brother. She thought long and hard about this. Not one stone unturned. She was precise and serious.

This might've been the moment where she's probably ever been the scariest.

Jones let everything sink in before responding to the plan, "You know, I won't let you do this alone. Whatever happens, we go down together."

"Sometimes I think you have a heart and then you prove me wrong by helping me." She shrugged, "Maybe you're as sadistic as I am or more." Chrissy gave her brother a little smile before returning back upstairs, she completely forgot the reason of her coming down.

Jones on the other hand, he was left with a lasting thought.

What if I do the right thing?

Because he actually has a soul unlike his sister but he knew it wasn't her fault for the reason she's like that. He was conflicted, but that didn't mean he wouldn't help her with whatever she needed.

Hours had gone by and everyone was getting ready for the wedding. Of course Dean was the best man and Chrissy had her brother but it wasn't traditional, however, this was a nontraditional wedding ————— so that meant jones was Chrissy's brother of honor.

Thomas was in the back room tying his tie in the mirror. He stopped midway and for some reason pulled out that paper he found on his car a few weeks ago. His eyes scanned the words again, get out while you still can.

And once again, he wondered what the hell that meant.

He didn't know if it was referring to the job or his relationship with Chrissy. It could literally be anything.

As he was lost in thought, he didn't hear the door open and close. It wasn't until he felt a hand on his shoulder that made him slightly jump and look behind him in the mirror.

"Getting cold feet already?" Dave rose his brows.

Thomas immediately shook his head, "No way. Never been more ready for anything in my life."

Dave nodded and his eyes went from Thomas to what Thomas was holding in his hand.

"What's that?"

The groom turned around and headed to the couch that was in the room, "A note." He soon sat down, facing Dave, "I found it on my car a few ago. I don't know what it means." He stuck out his arm, letting Rossi read the note for himself.

Rossi's eyes quickly scanned the words, "Why didn't you come to me or the team? This could have something to do with the Sherwood killer case."

Thomas stood back up, "I don't know, Dave."

Rossi sighed as he put the note in his pocket, "We'll worry about this later. You have to be at the alter in less than thirty minutes."

The groom smiled as Rossi tightened his tie.

And just like that, those thirty minutes flew by. Thomas was standing at the alter with Dean by his side and the wedding officiant, all waiting as the guests for the bride.

Just a moment later, a song began and Chrissy came into everyone's view. She walked with her brother down the aisle, arms linked. Jones wasn't just her brother of honor, he was also giving her away as of the father does on wedding days.

As soon as Chrissy reached the alter, Thomas took her hand and helped her up as he whispered in her ear.

"You look beautiful."

A smile formed across Chrissy's lips and soon the officiant began. After all was spoken, soon came the vows.

Thomas began, "I didn't bother to write anything because it's all in my heart and I know exactly how I feel without having to write it down." He briefly paused, "I love you, so much Chrissy and everyone wonders when was the moment I knew that. It's easy to say that it was movie night. Coming back from a case and coming home to you and just thinking how amazing you are and how grateful I am . . . " He concluded, "Love was foreign to me until I was reintroduced to you."

Chrissy took his hands in her's, "You are everything I want in a partner. I love everything about you. With the whole world turned against me and my brother, you are the only one whose been by my side. You're my rock, tommy and I wouldn't want to go through hell and back with anyone else." She finished, "I love you . . . to death, til death do us part."

"Now the rings." The officiant encouraged.

Jones gave Chrissy Thomas' ring as did Dean did the same. Thomas slid the ring on Chrissy's ring finger and she did the exact same back.

Soon the officiant continued, "Now Thomas, do you take Chrissy to be your lawfully wedded wife? To live together in matrimony, to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her . . in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy ————— to have and to hold from this day forward as long as you both shall live?"

His eyes were only looking into Chrissy's, "I do."

The officiant turned to Chrissy, "Do you Chrissy take Thomas to be your lawfully wedded husband? To live together in matrimony, to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him . . in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy ————— to have and to hold from this day forward as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

After Chrissy spoke the officiant looked to Thomas, "You may now kiss the bride."

Thomas didn't take any second later to smash his lips into his now wife's. Just as he did, claps erupted from the audience. The two soon pulled away and began walking down the aisle hand in hand.

As they did, Thomas' eyes landed on Jennifer and although she was smiling . . . deep down, she wished this day didn't exist.

As Thomas' eyes was lost in Jennifer's for a quick moment, the only thing going through Chrissy's mind then ( besides just having gotten married ) was the thought of Jennifer's blood stickying up her fingers.

Chrissy was getting everything she wanted.
