The start of evolution
"That's exactly what I'm implying" the voice echoed in the empty room as mg let go of her head that seemed to be clouded with endless thoughts. The two sat in a silence that seemed to suffocate the room.
Mg studied the face of the woman she had come to know for the past 10 years, but as the silence went on she saw the look of absolute rage contorting on the woman's face as everything became clear to her.
Pity crept up slowly as mg watched as the realization ate the green eyed woman alive. She couldn't imagine her own lover leading something she's built for so long straight to destruction. Serenity probably wasn't aware that the one she loved the most had been watching this entire time, watching her fall apart countless times and not being able to help pick up the pieces.
"Well Amanthy, what shall it be?" Mg asked as she folded her hands behind her back awaiting a response. Amanthy composed herself as she stood to her full height, overlooking mg by about 2 inches.
Mg sensed her hesitation and so she continued.
"I know you two are bound, but that doesn't excuse this" the green eyed woman let their words hang in the air as she fought to keep her composure. There was no way serenity could possibly make this work Amanthy couldn't wrap her head around how she could think this was a good idea.
"The world would fall into chaos" amanthy said as she sighed and shook her head. She watched what serenity has become since their parting, she almost didn't recognize the woman when she first began watching but as she progressed she could see the woman that she sacrificed herself for.
"It would indeed, someone has to speak reason with her" mg replied in her usual tone that made her words seem to roll off her tongue like silk.
Amanthy studied mg trying to decipher what she was implying. No emotion was evident on the woman's face as usual so she opted to just ask what she's thinking.
"And what exactly are you suggesting?" The brunette could already feel what was coming next, something just told her that her assumption was correct. What other reason would mg go through the trouble of coming all the way to her chambers to show her that.
"I'm suggesting that you go down there yourself and tell your mate that she's about to make a grave mistake and upset the balance of her realm" mg said as if it were simple.
"And what happens if I do convince her? Stop her plans just to leave her devastated at my departure?" Amanthy's temper was growing by the second as mg looked at with indifference.
"Well it's simple. If you convince her to cancel her plans I will ensure you live out your immortal lives together on earth" and that's when Amanthy saw a small hint of a smirk threatening to appear on the other woman's face.
Although Amanthy never expressed it, she never really liked mg. Something about her was off, amanthy just didn't quite know what it was.
"What's the catch? That seems a little too easy" Amanthy inquired with a raised eyebrow. Even in the so called afterlife the green eyed woman seemed to retain her flawless appearance and everyone who came in contact with her seemed to agree as they easily fell for her effortless charm. Most of the time she didn't even notice she had an audience.
"There isn't one, just do as I've asked and you may stay on earth."
"Well then what are you waiting for? Send me" Amanthy responded firmly. Mg smiled in satisfaction.
"Come with me"

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Amara asked serenity as she followed her through the palace halls. Serenity kept a steady stride as amara matched her pace with concern written all over her face.
"If you trust me you wouldn't be questioning me" serenity replied as she made a sharp left walking straight into the lounge where you could find most of the adolescent supernaturals hanging out. All heads turned to her as she entered the room.
Serenity rarely came to this part of the palace due to the memories it held as this was one of the first places Amanthy showed her.
"Can you update the electronics in here, it's been a while" serenity said finally stopping in front of one of the shelves with consoles and squatting down.
"Out of all things you want to upgrade the lounge room?" Amara asked surprised. Serenity didn't usually take interest in coming here or even being involved in upgrading it.
"Yeah, and I also want it to be made bigger" she said looking through all the games with a bored look on her face. Amara just didn't understand where this was coming from.
"There's no where else to build serenity, we've exceeded our space to build underground, the palace is absolutely huge there's no where to expand." Amara's confusion grew as she watched a grin take over the other woman's face.
"Well then begin building above ground, it's time to expand" she answered simply finally connecting her hazel eyes with Amara's electric blue ones. The blue eyed woman's face contorted into complete disbelief as the words registered with her.
"But that would mean humans would see" she spluttered out as if she'd been told the sky is actually purple.
"That's the point Amara. It's time to evolve" serenity said placing a hand on Amara's shoulder.
"But serenity you can't ju-" serenity cut her off quickly.
"Amara do you trust me?" The two shared a look that held so much intensity it's like it filled the entire room.
"Yes, I do" she replied with sincerity. Serenity nodded and removed her hand from the other woman's shoulder and let the seriousness settle on her face more intensely as she spoke.
"Well then follow my lead."

A/N: it's really been a while and all I could manage was this short chapter. So sorry for the inconvenience. I know I said junior year kicked my ass but senior year is proving to be much more challenging 😭
