"This woman claims to be a vampire and warewolf! Of course we've seen numerous influencers around the globe posing to be supernatural, but never to this degree. Whoever's editing this woman's videos deserves an award."
Serenity shut the video off with a groan. Sure she knew no one would really believe it, especially through a video she posted on the internet, but she hadn't expected it to this extent.
"They still think you're a joke." Amanthy stated as she entered their shared bedroom. Serenity rolled her eyes at the obvious statement. She knew her lover didn't exactly agree with her plan but she appreciated the support she gave regarding the matter from time to time.
"Well I'll just have to go with plan b," Serenity said with a shrug of her shoulders. She refused to keep living like this, practically feeling trapped within the palace walls— harboring one of the biggest secrets to mankind.
"And what exactly is plan b?" Amanthy questioned as she approached her mate. Serenity had been sat at her desk in the confinements of their room, working out the details of her plans. She felt as though she had it worked out but on the other hand she also felt as though it isn't enough.
"Plan b is simply making a statement, a very large one. I'm thinking along the lines of live television."
Amanthy didn't have an immediate response as she worked through her thoughts. She took a seat on the surface of her lovers mahogany desk as green eyes met hazel ones. "You're serious about this?"
"Yes, I am" Serenity replied without hesitation. Her hand came up to play with the hem of her partners shirt as she spoke. "I think this is what our people need, to live freely. They were born into this world just like any other human and they deserve to roam the earth authentically as they are."
"And what about the fear my love? What about the possibility of humans trying to imprison us or kill us because of what we're capable of."
"We may be severely outnumbered but that doesn't mean we still wouldn't be victorious if it came down to it. Sure there are supernaturals with horrible intentions, and carry great sins, but isn't it the same with humans?"
Amanthy inhaled deeply as she pondered the words. After two thousand years, her people would finally get to be free in a way that's foreign to them. There would be no more hiding or constantly looking over their shoulders, there would be no more faking in order to fit in with the rest of the world.
"I think your intentions are honorable, but yet so chaotic. I love you for it, for every sacrifice your willing to make for your people." Amanthy spoke as she leaned down to kiss her lovers temple.
"I love you too, Amanthy Theoris. Those aren't just my people, they're our people. We're in this together my love, and we won't rest until we've fulfilled our purpose here." Serenity replied as she stood from her chair, almost signifying the will of every other supernatural, to stand.
"Together?" Amanthy asked.
"Together." Her lover confirmed.
They hadn't realized it when they said it, but this marked a full circle from where they began. Back when Serenity first laid eyes on her fate— a throne, and back when Amanthy first showed it to her.
This marked the beginning once again.

1 week later
"Helloooo New York! How we doin' tonight?" Jarrod falcon spoke enthusiastically to the audience as well as the cameras broadcasting. Cheers and claps erupted from the audience as the show began. The audience seemed to come from all walks of life as they all secured the opportunity to be in New York to see jarrod falcon in person for his live show in the big Apple.
"We've got quite the crowd tonight! And boy do we have some things to talk about," jarrod spoke keeping the upbeat persona as he swayed the crowd.
"I heard twilight ain't so fictional these days." The man said as he raised one eyebrow at the crowd, resulting in laughter echoing to the stage. Jarrod waited for the laughter to die out before continuing, "but seriously, there's a young woman on Tiktok going viral for claiming to be a hybrid queen of supernaturals!" Murmurs and laughter could be heard in response to his words.
Many had seen the videos he'd been referring to, but much like the majority who did, they all assume it's just really good editing.
"Tonight we're gonna have a virtual interview with the supernatural queen herself," whistles and claps erupted once again at the the announcement. "Here we have Serenity smith."
A moment later the screen on stage displayed two women sat side by side giving a slight wave to the screen.
"Welcome to the show ladies! May I ask which one of you is the 'hybrid queen'?" Jarrod greeted as he threw his hands up in parenthesis. Serenity rose a eyebrow in amusement.
"Well sir I'm the hybrid, but technically speaking we both serve as rulers," Serenity replied as she attempted to wipe the smirk from her face. She knew this interview would be remembered for decades if not more.
"Oh my apologies, I was under the impression you ruled alone?" The man replied with a laugh. Amanthy kept in mind that to them they were a joke. She applauded the man for even taking them even the tiniest bit serious in the first place to land this interview, but both women knew it was time to get serious.
"My lover didn't like the idea of airing out our existence to human society in the beginning, but here we are," Serenity replied with humor. She was trying to make themselves seem as friendly as possible in order to elicit less fear once things hit the fan.
"Well might I say, you ladies make for a lovely couple. But we're dying to know, who edits your videos?" Jarrod complimented sincerely, as he followed with a question. The crowd agreed with the question and compliment with claps and cheers.
"Thank you jarrod, the kind words are appreciated. As for your question, well we don't have an editor. Everything I've shown on the internet has been one hundred percent authentic." Serenity replied with a smile. Amanthy nodded in agreement beside her as she spoke up as well.
"To be blunt, we no longer have intentions of hiding from society. We're becoming overpopulated and our people crave expansion. The majority of our kind serve no threat to humanity as it stands, we just want to coexist openly." Amanthy said without a trace of humor behind her words. The crowd was silent as they attempted to decipher the serious undertone of her words.
"Well ladies, I won't lie to you, I'd feel awfully silly if I sat here and believed everything you're saying. There's no way an entire race could just multiply to a degree of overpopulation and never go unnoticed. How hasn't anyone let the cat out the bag by now?"
"Supernaturals behave on a different level of maturity and restraint as opposed to humans. We hardly birth children, meaning the majority of us are very old compared to your typical life span. Although we're slow on reproduction, it still hasn't stopped us from reaching numbers that there's no coming back from." Amanthy explained leaning slightly forward to make sure she was getting her message across clearly.
"I know we probably do sound very unconvincing to most that are watching, but we didn't agree to this and just expected everyone to believe us. We'd like to present you and your audience with proof."
Jarrod was silent for a few moments as he stood staring at the screen. The crowd was silent as they sat on the edge of their seats wondering what they could possibly do to provide solid evidence.
"And how exactly do you ladies plan to provide proof?"
"Some vampires are given abilities that vary from others, much like some of the fiction about vampires that have been presented in the last decade or so. My ability specifically is to teleport." Amanthy replied as a slow smirk found its way to her face. She knew she was moments away from going against everything she believed for the past two millennia.
"Tonight my partner will be giving a live demonstration of her ability." Serenity added which earned a flew claps from the crowd.
"Okay ladies I'll humor you. You say you'll demonstrate teleportation, so do it. Teleport here right now." Jarrod replied seriously. The women on screen could tell that he was unsure, and perhaps nervous. It's almost as if everyone could feel the truth seeping through the screen and urging them to wake up.
"Absolutely jarrod, we'd be happy to. But first we want to make our surroundings clear as day for those who are simply watching through the tv or on their phones, that we are no where near New York." Serenity stated as they panned the camera to their surroundings. All that could be seen was the dry Egyptian desert, not a soul in sight. Amanthy then entered the frame as she could be seen dragging her foot through the sand.
"Just to ensure no one thinks this is edited too." Amanthy added with a playful eye roll. She walked even deeper into the desert, kicking up the sand eliciting a small giggle from her love who made sure she got her shenanigans on camera.
"Are you ready jarrod?" Serenity asked as she flipped the camera back to herself. Amanthy shifted back into the frame as well as she planted a hand on the other woman's shoulder.
"As ready as can be miss...?"
"Theoris, jarrod, I'm Amanthy Theoris." Amanthy supplied to his open ended question.
"Well we're ready when u are!" Jarrod replied with a laugh.
Then there was silence. Perhaps a few seconds where no one watching had any idea what to expect. Were the two girls about to scream April fools even though it's not april? Or would they try to manipulate today's technology into somehow making them believe they had successfully teleported all the way from Egypt?
It all happened in a split second— jarrod blinked as the screen displayed static, followed by the ground under his feet quite literally shaking with vibrations. Everyone held their breath as that split second that changed everything occurred.
Amanthy Theoris and Serenity Smith soon stood face to face with the television star who looked as though he may very well pass out.
"Pleasure to meet you in person jarrod." Serenity said patting the man on the shoulder. The crowds reaction had Serenity trying her hardest to hold in her laughter.
"What the fuck!"
"I rebuke you!"
"Is this for real right now?"
The next few moments were absolute chaos. Some people screamed in shock, some hopped straight out their chairs to exit the vicinity, and then there were the ones who were too appalled to move or even give a proper reaction.
As for jarrod, he didn't even blink. He took a deep breath to calm his racing heart as he slowly turned his head to the audience and cameras.
"I think that concludes the show for tonight folks."
