"Some say chaos is the true state of the world you know" the halls were especially quiet today, the energy filled each room like the plague, something big was coming. Zylan followed closely behind Serenity as they conversed.

"Is that what you're aiming for? Chaos?" The question seemed to amuse Serenity as a slight smirk tugged at her lips. The echo of their footsteps bounced off the walls as they fell in stride.

"No perhaps it's not chaos I seek, it's a sense of freedom, free will, a luxury humans think they have but have been robbed blindly of" Zylan looked over at Serenity as if to check whether or not she was serious. Although she had that dumb smirk on her face Zylan had grown to know her enough to distinguish that she was dead serious right now.

"You know if you keep talking like that they're gonna start calling you the mad queen" he replied with a hearty laugh. Serenity liked the sense of youth and intelligence Zylan always seemed to carry with him, that was the main reason she gave him a seat on the council, he could be of use someday.

"Maybe, but the good part about my subjects is that they would gladly follow me into madness, that is undying loyalty, something humans could never accomplish" Zylan silently agreed with a nod and smirk as they finally reached the doors to the councils room. Everyone was already seated as they made their entrance and took their respective spots.

"Let's begin" Serenity muttered, and just like that an assortment of documents and contracts were being presented to her. They spent hours going over protocols and emergency scenarios, along with sorting out their funds which were extensive. It wasn't until all the paperwork was done that someone presented the question.

"Will you still be proceeding in your plans to expose our kind your highness?" A council member by the name Alana asked. The question was so direct that some in the room feared for the girls safety as silence filled the room. Serenity tilted her head curiously at the girl before opening her mouth to answer.

"Yes I do, at this point it's just a matter of how" Serenity answered the question as honestly as she could without giving away her ideas just yet.

"Well I'd like to make a suggestion, if I may" Alana replied timidly. Serenity rose a eyebrow in question. Alana was usually the quiet one, only speaks when spoken to but apparently today was a little different.

"Proceed" Serenity said as she studied the girl who was damn near turning red due to all the attention.

"Just make a video, post it online. The internet is the one place where you'll be able to reach most"

"It's not quite that easy, I was human just a decade ago and I can assure you they won't believe a damn thing coming out of my mouth" Serenity replied.

"Not if you ease your way into it. Sure, let them take you as a joke, let them think your demonstrations are all digital enhancements, but as you make a so called fool of yourself, you will still gain a following and that will be the perfect platform for you to make a demonstration live and in person. This idea is definitely a stretch but it may be your best shot" the other members of the council nodded their head in agreement as the idea began to spark something in Serenity.

"I see your angle here, if they take me as a joke in the beginning it may help to ease the backlash when the time comes to be completely authentic about who we are" Serenity couldn't believe she was considering this but she couldn't deny that it wasn't that bad of an idea, hell it was better than what she was considering herself.

"Yes, what comes after this will be the true issue, how will our own laws merge with theirs? How will we ensure they will not try to eradicate us?"

"Unfortunately as far as that goes I have come to the conclusion that we would just have to cease power." Zavarius' eyes widened almost comically.

"As in world domination?" Zavarius asked incredulously.

"Not quite, I'd like to be a little more, let's say humane, with the idea. I don't seek to change their world completely but I do seek a different sense of equality, one they're not quite familiar with yet." Everyone at the table nodded in agreement. Serenity's proposal did make sense considering humans are currently still fighting about the color of ones skin. It was absolutely ridiculous from their perspective.

"Everything said today sounds like the best option to put our queens plans in motion, all in favor say I" Zavarius said in an effort to conclude the meeting that has gone on for hours.

"I" everyone said in union. Serenity was surprised that everyone was beginning to see eye to eye with her. Then again it has been hours, they probably just wanna get home to their families.

"You are dismissed" Serenity said curtly as she rose from her seat.

"Get up"

Amanthy rose from her slumber with a jolt as she came face to face with mg. Amanthy's face contorted into irritation as mg gave her smug smile.

"What do you want?" Amanthy groaned in question.

"It's almost time for your departure back to earth, I wanted to go over a few things with you before you left" mg said taking a seat on the edge of the bed. Amanthy sighed and nodded willing her to continue.

"The life you have established in this world must never be mentioned on earth, if you do so there will be very severe consequences to pay." Amanthy nodded in agreement, already aware she would ha e to be discreet.

"Is that all?" She asked with a bored look on her face. Mg chuckled at her lack of enthusiasm for the conversation.

"When you get there do not disclose the terms of our agreement to Serenity, knowing her she'll expose supernaturals just to spite me" mg replied. Amanthy rolled her eyes and nodded in agreement once again. Mg knew Amanthy's intelligence and will were practically a match for her own but she just had to make sure everything was clear and that all cards were on the table.

"I understand but how exactly do you expect me to explain to my mate that I'm back from the dead" she asked with a eyebrow raised. Amanthy knew Serenity had come along way, her mental growth was astounding so she was positive she would see right through her. All she could do is hope she doesn't question her.

"The same thing she told you when she came back from the dead, I resurrected you." Mg replied.

"And what happens if I fail and she exposes supernaturals anyways? When I'm gone she'll have to bare my death a second time, I don't know if I can do that to her mg"

"Of course you can Amanthy, you lived for thousands of years, if it so happens that you do lose your life a second time, you are eternal, I could bring you back again, and again, and again."

"Then I shall put my trust in you mg, but mark my words, if I feel played in any way I will find a way to destroy you, goddess or not." Amanthy replied as she stared mg in the eyes.

"Threatening me is a crime, I could have your soul destroyed for that" mg responded in disbelief.

"Then so be it, I said what I said"

"This is why I always liked you Amanthy"

Serenity walked in the training room where Zavarius and Zylan traded blows back to back. They were drenched in sweat as Serenity studied them, exhaustion was written all over their faces. Neither refused to give up and that's why all their spares practically went on forever.

"Enough" she said, and they ceased fighting.

"What, would you like to join in Serenity? You know your probably getting weak, I haven't seen you train in months" Zavarius replied smugly as he tried to coarse her into a friendly battle.

"I've been a busy woman as I'm sure you've noticed, but don't think I won't still kick both of your asses" she said finishing her statement with a smirk. The two men knew where this exchange of words would be taking them. Zylan and Zavarius looked at each before making a clean break towards Serenity. To a human it happened in a flash, but as for Serenity she had enough time to take her jewelry off and dodge the advancement.

"Too slow" she said as the two men were met with unoccupied space rather than making contact with Serenity. She followed her statement with a clean hook to Zavarius' dumbfounded face.

"Come, give me a challenge gentleman" Serenity said arrogantly. Soon both parties were trading blows, Zavarius and Zylan still unable to inflict damage. Serenity smiled as she remembered a time when she couldn't beat Zavarius for anything on her life, how the roles have reversed.

"Wipe that smile off your face this isn't over" Zavarius said trying his hardest to keep a serious face as he bent over and heaved out his exhaustion.

"perhaps we should stop, you look like your going to rupture something" Serenity replied. As per usual their pride began to set in as they began trading blows again until the two finally gave in to the burn in their limbs. They both dropped with a groan. Serenity squatted to get to their level.

"We've gotta start doing this more often, that was a good workout" Serenity said with a smile, the most genuine one the two men had seen in a while, even both of her dimples were out.

"You should smile like that more often my friend and perhaps the staff wouldn't be so afraid all the time" Zylan said admiring Serenity's rare mood before it disappeared.

"Hm perhaps I should" she said sharing a final laugh with two of the closest things she could call family.
