We go back to the shop, and we take a seat while Grace closes the door and locks it behind us.
"So..." Tara begins. "Bucky doesn't know the consequences to not following through with the curse..."
"So that's it? We just wait out the rest of the two weeks and see what the reactions are?" I ask.
Grace comes and joins us to sit down. She's overheard our conversation, so she answers my question. "I think that's the best thing we're able to do with our time at this point. Clearly since we don't know what's going to happen if you two don't talk to each other for two weeks, so we'll just have to wing it when the fourteen days are over. There's just one detail that I don't remember if I've warned all of you about..."
David leans forward in his chair. "What is it, sis?"
"Do you guys remember how I've told you about Amanda and Leo's Portable Souls falling off the wall?"
We nod. She continues, "Well, the Portable Souls around theirs shook when that happened, and since the Portable Souls near each other connect people to each other and since all of our Portable Souls shook, all of us also might be aware of what's happening if we get sent into the past as a consequence of them not talking."
Rory tries to understand what she means. She points to herself and Tara. "So.. That means that opposed to the other times when Amanda and Leo had time travelling powers when the past us weren't aware of what was happening concerning them, this time we'll be aware?"
Grace nods. "So let's say for example the consequences would be that you guys get sent into the past, then Tara, Rory and David will go into the past as well and replace the past versions of you."
I ask, "But will having them replace the past versions of them have any long term consequences, like in those time traveller movies?"
David nods, "You make a good point, Amanda." We all look at Grace to answer my question.
But she only shrugs and replies with a simple "I honestly think it may have bad reactions to it, but what real choice do we have here?"
We all nod with understanding, because we do. I understand how hard this might feel on Grace right now. And the best thing we could do is not stress too much over it and try to fix the problem once the curse takes effect.
A/N: I'm sorry about this short chapter; I was a little less inspired today than usual to write. But in the next chapter, it'll take place the day before the end of the two weeks is up, so a lot of discussing will take place then. For those of you who are worried about Leo not coming back, don't worry. There's no need to be worried; I have the whole thing planned in my head for Leo to make his way back into the story. ;)
