Fate
Soulless detached the flagpole from its stand and jumped down from the wall.
She started walking towards the city and hummed. As Soulless walked, she felt her soul shell crack. "Guess I'm breaking another rule then." She joked to herself.
Soulless reached the buildings of the town. Many spirits turned to look at Soulless. She paid no mind to them. Soulless kept walking. A red cat with one open eye gazed at her. Soulless returned a look. The cat's eyes widened, all three and started to follow her. The city, all stared at the two. Silence fell. Soulless started to hum louder in this silence. Many people had realized what was going on and were about to attack Soulless but the red cat scared them off. Other people who knew what was going on and joined the walk to the middle of the city.
Soulless reached the middle of the city. A tall tower blocked out any light above them. Soulless stopped. Many people were confused on what was going on. A small chatter arose from them. Soulless turned her head to them. "Step aside." She demanded.
She turned her head again. A hooded figure floated before her. A glowing eye was all that you could see under the hood. "Salutations and Greetings Fate." Soulless smiled at the spirit. "You're breaking many rules, Child." Fate slowly said.
"I have a name like you. Say it." Soulless growled.
"A being as such as you needs no name. Only a goal."
"You're right about the goal bit."
"I'm right about all of it."
"But that's when you're wrong." Soulless pointed at Fate. "You only decide things. And some of those things go wrong."
"Like you." The hooded spirit drew out, slowly.
"Yes, thank you for proving my point for me."
"Why have you come, child."
"I won't answer until you say my real name."
"Fine.
Soulless. Why have you come here?"
Soulless giggled. Fate was confused. "To prove a point. Because you've done it now leave." The spirit said.
Soulless laughed. She threw her head back. "Answer me." Fate demanded.
The grey fox returned to a serious gaze at Fate.
"I am sick of you and Them's tyranny. You and Them have made terrible rules and restrictions. Them has prevented us from doing as we please. You followed Them aimlessly. Doing as they ask." Soulless said. "You have taken the lives of people just because Them has asked for you to."
"People like you shouldn't exist. I was only doing what was right for the universe." Fate explained.
"EXACTLY." Soulless hit the flagpole onto the ground. "PEOPLE LIKE ME LIVED HAPPILY UNTIL WE DIED. NOW WE LIVE FORCED TO FOLLOW RULES AND LIVE KNOWING THEY CANT DO ANYTHING."
"I AM HERE FOR MY
NO.
EVERYONES EXISTENCE AND FREEDOM." Soulless yelled, thrusting the flag into the air. "NO ONE WILL GET IN OUR WAY."
Fate sighed. "I'm afraid I already have." Their wings appeared behind them. Two hands appeared above Fate's head.
Soulless only laughed. She adjusted her bag and dug into it. She took out a soul. Fate floated back.
"Say hello to Azar. She's been meaning to say a few things about her life." Soulless looked at the soul. It was green with a black glow. "You should know. The whole thing about being abandoned while monsters attacked her town."
"T-that's a child. What good would that give you?" Fate asked nervously.
"Everything against you." Soulless smiled and grabbed onto it.
A blinding light filled the area. When it disappeared, there stood a different Soulless.

"I don't know what you were expecting." She said.
Soulless quickly checked for any thoughts. There was nothing. Azar was asleep.
One of Fate's floating hands charged up a ball of energy. It fired at Soulless. She ducked it sweeping the flag under Fate's legs.
Soulless then realized Fate doesn't have legs. Everyone looked at her confused. Especially Fate.
Soulless swept the flag half way and kicked Fate.
Fate's floating hands quickly grabbed onto her leg and threw Soulless at a wall. She landed on the wall and jumped off, thrusting the sharp end of the flagpole into Fate.
Fate stop and blocked themselves. Fate waited for the piercing of the plow into their body. It didn't happen. When Fate looked up, they saw normal Soulless, holding the flagpole in a hand. "Join us. I know you don't like your job." She held out a hand.
A hand came out from under the cloak and shook Soulless's.
"I don't want to do this anymore." Fate said quietly.
"I know." Soulless replied. "Now come on. Them needs a little talk."
