Mephisto pov

My brothers and I all can feel each other pain. It is a numbed down version but we can still feel it. Unless we shut someone out. It can be long term or short term but If we shut one of the others out we can't feel their emotions, their mental link, or their pain. many other things as well but those are the top three. Father can also block out a link between one or more of us. 

Father can also scene our emotions and he can tell when one of us is hurt. he can tell which one of us is hurt. While we only know that one of our brothers is hurt.

Lucifer and I walk out into the hallway. We find our brothers and we meet with Father in the main room that connects our hallways. We look at one and another and we are all fine. Who are we missing? Then I realize it. "Rin," I say panicked as I run off to find Rin. My brothers follow suit.

Lucifer pov

I am not one who is known to worry. But I am scared and angry. Whoever hurt Rin will pay. I arrive first at Rin's room. Shura and Izumo are cleaning his cheek. I walk up to his bed. "May I?" I ask Izumo. She nods and hands me the cloth with disinfected on it. I hold it gently against my brother's cheek. 

Mephisto calls them out and starts to get the full story from them. I hear snips from the conversation but from what I hear I am able to understand what happened. Rin was hurt by Yukio. Apparently Yukio wanted to speak to Rin in private and they talked and Yukio started yelling at Rin. Then Yukio hurt Rin and ran out of the room.

Mephisto is able to convince the girls to leave Rin with us. They leave and they go get their lunch. Once the bleeding seems to have stopped I prepare another cloth while still holding the other one. By this point, my brothers have all entered the room. I remove the old cloth and I take a look at the damage. Rin has four large and deep scratch marks along his cheek.

The cuts were made at an angle. The marks look to have been created by a demon. Or at least a high-ranking demons fingernails. I laugh to myself at the irony. Yukio an exorcist half-demon just like his brother. Yukio hates his bother for exciting and yet Yukio is more of a demon than Rin will ever be. Rin is a human trapped within a demon's body. Yukio is a demon in a human body.

The cuts are deep but it was a clean cut. The skin is still on so tats a good thing. Mephisto who is right next to me sees the marks and is astonished. All of my brothers see the marks and they all are surprised and are angry. I put on the new cloth. Rin flinches a little but I pet his hair to calm him down. 

Rin is drowsy. The girl gave him some pretty strong pain medicine and it made him sleepy. I am thankful pain medicine is actually good for this exact thing. Rin could have passed out in pain because of the scratch. It also didn't help that he was slapped and got the scratches at the same time. The only Reson Rin is letting me close to him is that he is unaware of his surroundings. 

I try to look for Rin's tail but I can't find it. He must have learned how to hide it. Maybe the exorcist girl who trained him taught him to hide it as well. She seems to have a good understanding of demon culture. Demons tail is the most sensitive part of their body and they hide it from those they don't trust. If your tail is pulled it could really hurt. But if it is groomed in the right way it can create a large amount of comfort and pleasure. 

Mates almost always groom each other's tails. Grooming one's tail can make that demon trust and love you quicker. It takes a great amount of trust to show your tail. let alone let someone touch it. If I found Rin's tail I would have groomed it. Tail grooming can also help relieve pain. I check the time. Its half past noon. This has been an eventful day. 

Father will not be happy when he founds out about Rin. Father will not be happy with Yukio. We will still agree to sign the treaty. Even though Rin was hurt by an exorcist during a cease-fire it was a family dispute. It had nothing to directly do with the war. Father still won't be happy. I send my brothers to go get lunch. 

Even though we are made of magic we still need food. We have flesh and bones just humans. The only thing that separates us from humans is our Atomny and magic. Ok, that's a big difference but still. Father is in a meeting the Grigori. They are going over the entire treaty before we sign it tomorrow. 

My brothers return with their food and Astaroth has two extra plates. He gives them both to me and I lay one on the bed. I eat the food and Rin is asleep. After we finish they take all the plates back except Rin's plate. I stay with Rin while my brothers wait for Father to get out of his meeting so they explain the situation to him.

Rin turns in his sleep and messes up the cloth. When Rin turns again I put on a new cloth and I tape it down to his cheek so it won't fall off or get messed up. Then I feel Rin panic. He turn and tosses in his sleep. I hug him to try to calm him down but to no avail. After a few minutes, Father comes in. He sits on the other side of Rin. I give Rin to Father. Rin gasps and awake and he looks around clearly afraid. He quickly calms down and goes back to his drowsy state.
